    Chicken parm

Asked my wife to find a small local Italian place to eat while I ran into a shop. She picked this. I had seen it before but figured it was just another chain and had avoided it. Place looked lean and staff was pleasant when entering. Waiter was incredible. When asked we were told most people miss out by ordering the past instead of going for the grill. My wife took that advice and was pleasantly surprised and enjoying her dis of stake and Alfredo. I stayed with the chicken parm and was pleased. Wouldn't say it was amazing but it was very good. Portions were plenty. Only complaint is I ordered a Coke and don't think it was and off so the taste was off. I would have gotten something else.

Great little Italian restaurant with great atmosphere very clean with a great bar. Nice wine list service was fast and the food was hot. Great desserts as well. Prices are reasonable. Great drinks!

I attended the Summer in the Valley Wine Dinner this past Wednesday. For $60 plus tax & tip you get 4 or 5 courses paired with generous pours of wine selected to accompany each course. Bread & seasoned olive oil were on the table at arrival. First course was a salad, second pasta, third entree & fourth dessert. Portions were huge... the steak was 10 oz.! The personable manager came around to each table to welcome guests. There was a raffle with 3 prizes that all guests were entered into, plus each guest received a collectable pin. These extras were nice touches. Frankly, I didn't expect this level of quality & service from a chain restaurant and was happily surprised. The tasting series, which they host on two dates each month, is a true bargain. I've already made my reservations for July's California Wine Tour dinner.

November wine dinner...one of the best menus with that amazing stag leap. The staff was lights out tonight from the host...Jayden G. To the chef! The wait staff left no glass unfilled. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. The best pasta dish and dessert by far from the wine dinners in the past. Very well done by all.

This place is a chain family Italian restaurant, but cleaner and better than Olive Garden. staff was prompt in seating and service. I loved the bread given before a meal. I ordered the shrimp and scallop linguine and it was filling and savory. The truffle fries were perfectly crispy and were part of the side of the Trio dishes. This place is family friendly and a place to take families of different sizes~

Last nights takeout dinner was so yummy!! I couldn't decide which chicken dish I wanted so I went with the Chicken Trio! You get to taste three different styles in one meal!!! Chicken Bryan: Wood-Grilled Chicken topped with Goat Cheese, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Basil & Lemon Butter Sauce. Pollo Rosa: Wood_Grilled Chicken stuffed with Fontina Cheese & Prosciutto, topped with Mushrooms and a Basil Lemon Butter Sauce. Chicken Marsala: Wood-Grilled and topped with Mushrooms and a Lombardo Marsala Wine Sauce. with yummy Garlic Mashed Potatoes! Now let's move on to the best part of any meal... DESSERT! The Cannoli Cake for two was one of the most impressive desserts I've had in a while! I may or may not have made the "mmm" sound after every bite! I called it the "Cannoli Lovers Dream" So scrumptious! It was a Vanilla Cake with layers of Cannoli Filling, Pistachios and Chocolate Chips! I can't forget to mention the Classics Combinations app that we tried as well. It consisted of Hand-breaded Calamari, the CHEESIEST Mozzarella Sticks and Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms! I think the mozzarella sticks were some of the best ones I have had!!!!

Tried it for the first time today and the food was great. I got curbside pickup and the waiter was so polite and genuinely kind.

The restaurant is fine but way overpriced. A glass of wine at a chain should not cost more than a meal. The food is as ok.

Decent food but very small portions. Staff is very nice and it's always clean. Good for a chain all in all.

The pasta e fagioli soup was delicious and tasted as it should. We savoured it. Our salad tasted garden fresh. I asked for a basic spaghetti with meatballs. Delicious. Their meatballs meet my approval. And that is saying a lot because usually no restaurant meatballs measure up. Except for the meatballs my Grandmother, Mother and I have cooked. This is why I'm tentative about eating Italian out since we grew up making it, ourselves. Everything we tried here falls under the "did not disappoint," category which is an A all around. Even the rustic dining style with sentimental interior home furnishings and decorations. All of it speaks to the heart. They are a warm bunch and will talk to those just passing through. When I'm traveling the Eastern seaboard, I will make it a point to dine at Viola Cucina.

Mostly Smoke and mirrors.... At first glance, their website…read morelooks impressive, their menu looks authentic, and their staff promised 'everything' made fresh and to order. But upon tasting their food, it was clear, 'Viola' is just another Americanized Italian restaurant. We started with an a la carte order of: 'House made focaccia, roasted garlic spread, evoo, craft butter' This was fresh and tasty. We then shared the 'Caesar: traditional romaine hearts, foccaccia croutons, shaved pecorino cheese. classic caesar dressing.' This lacked any flavour, the romaine was cut into too small pieces, there was no hint of garlic or anchovy in the dressing. But the most disappointing dishes were the pasta dishes: 'Fettucini bolognese, house made, beef, pork, veal ragu, pecorino, basil, calabrian Chili.' 'Scampi viola, squid ink linguini, shrimp garlic, white wine, julienned vegetables, preserved lemon butter.' Although the pastas were freshly made, their textures were compromised; both pasta dishes were not 'al dente'. In fact the Scampi viola was drenched in a dark gravy and greasy. This is just not a very skilled preparation of pasta. A fresh pasta needs very little sauce, and should be dressed very simply so the 'textures' can be enjoyed. I ordered the: 'Zuppa di vongole: fresh little neck clams, vino biqnco, fresh herbs, crostini.' But this dish was replaced by a fried calamari dish. This was well prepared, actually the only star of the evening. This restaurant may succeed on its 'blandness' but will never attract the discerning diner who wants and appreciates authentic Italian cuisine. ~tiaotse~

Parking in this are is shared with all the other businesses in Garden City, so you may have to walk a bit on busy shopping days. We were seated by a hostess with menus and our waitress came by in enough time that we knew what we wanted to order for lunch. The menu has everything from salad entrée to full bar. I went with a salad with salmon added. My dining companion chose a pizza. We were both happy with our choices. The lettuce was fresh, the portion size of the salmon good and it was cooked perfectly. Restrooms are at the back, past the bar. Seating is comfortable with a variety of banquettes and chairs. The dining room was bright with large windows. The bar side has more subdued lighting. Our waitress was not often available, but when she stopped by she was 'present'. Food was brought out by runners.

He really seemed like he likes his job and was so delightful to interact with. The bread here is delicious (focaccia I think, and it comes with olive oil).
