First time to location, long time Brazilian steakhouse visitor. They even had grilled pineapple and other options that looked delicious. We checked out with ease, and we're surprised with a free dessert for my friend's birthday (we didn't tell them but I did have a gift for her on the side). I was reading the bad reviews about service, my server and all of the other staff were at my table every 1-2 minutes. I'm not sure what people complain about. I think those people who are complaining legit want servants to rest their legs on. My cup was always full. They even poured my coke into my cup for me. The service was incredible. No complaints there. Food quality was amazing I've never had so many cuts. If you're like me and just trying all the cuts you may want to ask for small cuts each time or else you'll tap out way too early. In the Galleria area, there are several Brazilian steakhouses/churrascarias, and Casa Do Brazil stacks up well with them. Most folks have probably heard of Fogo De Chao, and I'm here to tell you that Casa Do Brazil ranks right up there with Fogo in terms of quality and flavor. Too, the staff were very attentive during our recent dinner there, and management was interested in learning how our first experience with them went. Of course, the picanha is a must-have, but everything we tried was on point. The salad bar is not massive but features quality ingredients and ample variety. When you're at such an establishment and want to put away your share of meats, loading up at the salad bar may not be what you want to do anyway. My recent visit to Casa Do Brasil was pretty darn close to perfect! I'm not a frequent Brazilian steakhouse visitor. In fact, I don't think I've been to one in Houston before - rather, Chicago and SA. But when a midweek event called for celebration, to Casa Do Brasil we came. Really enjoyed the "Couples Dinner" special -- for $139, two get all you can eat salad bar, meats, a dessert, and a bottle of wine. What made this place special to me was the service. We were checked on constantly by managers, who made sure we were refilled on everything at all times. When I asked for another piece of filet, I'm pretty sure they rolled out an all new skewer of filet. I also loved the variety. Grilled cheese and pineapple weren't things I had previously experienced in this setting, and here, they were outstanding. A Brazilian steakhouse isn't a place you go every day, but the next time an occasion calls for celebration, Casa Do Brasil will be on my mind. read more

soooo I'm not a huge steak lover but every now and then I love a good steak! I first found out about this place when my fiancé reserved it for our anniversary and I was so excited once i saw what the place was. First, The service is amazing. We got the Full Experience and we felt like royalty. You get this little plastic disk that looks like a coaster and it's green and red. Green means you want meat and red means you don't want meat at the moment. When you flip it to green, the staff come with so many different options of food like beef, chicken, lamb, pork, shrimp and pineapple. It's all amazing and you get so many variations of food. The steak and other food is delicious However, YOU HAVE TO GET THE PINEAPPLE. I know it sounds weird but just trust me. It's the best pineapple you'll have have. It's like roasted and it tastes like it has either cinnamon or brown sugar on it. It's just so so good. so when they come around offering you roasted pineapple, take it! Okay and then ofc you have to get the dessert bc it's FLAMING CHEESECAKE. That's right you hear me, it comes on fire..... they don't call it flaming for nothing! And I'm convinced It's the best cheesecake in the world. You must get it, MUST!!! Finally, if you still have room I would recommend the papaya dessert drink! It's great after all the food and it's personally my dad's favorite! Just a review of the bar, but it was a great experience. We were staying next door at the Homewood Suites and wanted a late night drink. The place is so inviting from the outside with a nice patio with gas flame lamps/heaters. We opted to sit and the bar and the two ladies working tonight did a great job taking care of us. There was also a saxophone player belting out Christmas tunes. I had the Alma Negra Malbec Blend which was very smooth and had great flavor. They give you these little cream puff like pastries with cheese inside. Heavenly indeed. We had the Charcuterie Board which includes multiple cheeses, meats, and some local honey. This was an accidental find as we wanted to go to Chama, but our experience there last time was subpar so we decided on doing something different. Right from the beginning, we were greeted and shown to our table immediately. The restaurant space is small/cozy and gives a comfortable dining vibe. Food The meats were your standard sirloin, filet, shrimp, chicken, and lamb. The meat was mostly cooked and seasoned well. Our favorites were the sirloin and filet medium-rare. Of the 4 soup options at the bar, our host recommended the black bean, but our favorites were the corn chowder and shrimp stroganoff (highly recommend this!). Environment The staff were attentive to our needs and offered good advice as to what drinks were good. We tried the coconut caipirinha and a cabernet from Argentina- both paired well with our food. The standout factor that will get us back here is how comfortable the space feels. It's not too large and fits a good amount of people, enough to where you don't feel neglected but large enough for you to get adequate food and service. Been twice now and everything is always hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. The ribs are absolutely fall apart tender, the salad bar was continuously restocked with fresh items. Staff was attentive but not intrusive. My only complaint is the noise level. The last time we were there it was so loud that we literally had to yell to talk to each other at a small table of four. The live music was WAY too loud, so everyone had to speak louder which made the singer sing louder and it just escalated to the point we felt like we were in a nightclub. I should start with a tag line for this review because, as I was going through the photos after eating at Casa do Brasil, I realized I had NO PHOTOS OF MEAT. That should tell you Casa do Brasil is getting 4 stars. This "counting the words" is a formulaic approach that works for me when reviewing some place. I don't eat at a Brazilian steakhouse very often ... perhaps 2 to 4 times a year. Their formula is one I know (entry sides + salad bar + meats) and most rodizios/churrascarias in the U.S. pull it off reliably well. This Casa do Brasil has a brunch during the lunch hour on a weekend day and that's when I ate here. The restaurant is located slightly south and west of the famed Houston Galleria, thus far enough away where parking will be right in front of most merchants and eateries. I liked the items they brought out right away: the bread rolls, the potatoes, and the polenta sticks. I'm not a big fan of those caramelized bananas and their funky consistency, so I push them out of the way. If I remember fast enough, I'll tell them not to bring any of those bananas to the table! Next came the salad bar. What you may find is that you don't have much in the way of salad on your plate, though "conventional" salads are in fact there. It's because the artichokes, hearts of palm, bean salads, cheeses, prosciutto, and soups might have distracted you, so you helped yourself to less salad. Finally, one flips over the placard, saying "Sim" instead of "Nao," telling the gauchos to bring it on! The gauchos are the servers who wear the traditional garb found in certain areas of Brazil. To that end, they keep on coming by and the selection of meats, along with poultry and pork, is fairly broad. There is no doubt that these items are of high quality and expertly prepared, especially in the Lone Star state and/or Houston, where it's all about the 3 c's: "cattle, cotton, and crude." The "issue" is that they keep coming by, as they do at every rodizio/churrascaria, and the gaucho would like for you to try the meat they are serving. In my case, I only like about 4 things from these steakhouses, and I might even take seconds of those, but am not interested in trying things like ribs, lamb, or chourico. What I like are the picanha, the filet mignon, the pork loin, and bacon wrapped anything - which would be beef or chicken at Casa do Brasil! You'd be surprised. By using this approach, I have found that it makes for a filling meal without feeling too full, especially since the pieces are manageable. Note that they only have two locations - this one in Houston and another one in College Station, home of Texas A&M. Again, I was very happy with this late lunch which served as lunch and dinner and which was followed by a snooze. The chains are all good, but I'd say that Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil are just a few shades ahead, in that order. These chains, and Casa do Brasil, do a better job at the churrascaria game than they do in Portugal, where I have eaten at two different ones. With the gauchos coming by on an ongoing basis and me woofing down what was put on my plate, I have NO PHOTOS OF MEAT (!?!) If you like this type of eatery, I strongly recommend Casa do Brasil. See the 4 words for the 4 stars? And, if you don't need or want to snooze afterwards, you can visit the nearby Water Wall and catch some of its spray to cool you down if it's a toasty one outside. read more

5 stars! Out of all the Brazilian steakhouses that I've been to in Houston, this is by far the best one. I enjoyed all of the waiters and managers service. They were professional and very knowledgeable about each kind of meat. Not only were the patient and very helpful to our group of six, they were also fun to talk to! We ate filet mignon, chicken wrapped in bacon, garlic shrimp, cheese with honey sriracha, etc. The price was about $62 per person and we came around 9:30 PM Thai past Saturday. I was in Houston for work so my team and I chose this for a dinner one night. I'm very familiar with Brazilian steakhouses, so I kind of knew what we were in for. The salad bar was large with many different options. My favorites were probably the candied bacon and the shrimp stroganoff. I've never heard of shrimp stroganoff before but WOW it was absolutely amazing. The meat started to come out when we all flipped our cards to green. They brought out lamb, chicken, stop sirloin, ribs, sausage, and many more. The lamb chop was a bit dry. My only other complaint is that they didn't bring the filet mignon (my favorite) until last. Plus, we had to ask for it to be brought, so we were all very full by the time it came. Most likely a strategy since it's an expensive meat. The sides that were put on the table for everyone included fried polenta, plantains, mashed potatoes, and sauces like chimmi churrey.
