Just ordered from here and I ordered cheese enchiladas and veggie tamales. I asked for ajv ado sauce and extra cheese. He says he didn't here me say avocado sauce but why add chili sauce. The menu says cheese enchilada with chili or avocado cause. Not cheese enchiladas with chili sauce and avocado sauce optional. When I called back to say something he was very rude. I'll be disputing the charges with my bank for a full refund. And the veggie tamales were disgusting. read more

I wouldn't say this is truly authentic mexican food but it was good. Chips and salsa were great and the micheladas were DELICIOUS! I ordered the Enchiladas and my sister the guizo. If I had to make recommendations I wouldn't put so much garlic cloves in the guiso( my sister had to scoop four of them out) and not to put so much salt in the beans. I've been coming here for the past 6 years and was introduced by a family friend and have been hooked ever since. Seriously the best margaritas, Mexican food, and customer service that you will receive in the DFW area. The raspberry and mango margaritas are so refreshing on a hot day and will sneak up on you after you finish the first. You can't go wrong with any of the food but the steak nachos, chicken flautas, and quesadillas are incredibly delicious and not a small portion. No matter how busy, the ambiance and service are amazing and make you feel welcome. All of the locations are consistent with amazing food and great service and you will not be disappointed!!! Have also ordered the takeout food (also a half-gallon of margs a few too many times) and they always get your order correct with the freshest salsa and chips! read more

My first impression of this place when I arrived at the door is: Did I come to the right place? The storefront was quite dark. I couldn't see anything inside from the outside. It looked to me more like a bar than a restaurant. Another strange thing is they still left the Open Now sign on their glass window. I was puzzled because there were already 200 plus Yelp reviews. How could it be? When we walked in, there was live music playing real loud. If you sit in the front near where the music is playing, you'll find it really loud. We asked for a table a bit inside. It was not as loud there. We usually order a fajita the first time we visit a Mexican restaurant. No exception this time. The fajita came out sizzling on a cast iron plate. It looked very appetizing. The beef had a nice beef texture, moist and flavorful. We also liked the sides, especially the rice - very tasty. We also ordered a salad with salmon. The salad was fine. But we liked the salmon more. It was fresh and nicely grilled. It cost only a couple of dollars more to add the fish. It was well worth it. The waitress that served us was very friendly and sociable. She said the Now Open sign was just to catch people attention. How interesting! The place is not highly decorated. I came to this restaurant based on the review here on yelp and on google, which was almost 5 stars so I thought it would be a good place to bring my family. To my disappointment, the food was nasty and not authentically Mexican (coming from an actual mexican w mexican parents). The food had no flavor whatsoever and even the fajita platter lacked variety and meat. I ordered chicken flautas because I figured that was a safe choice and I was mistaken. The chicken itself was mushed like a frozen dish, and the 'chipotle' sauce had no chipotle flavor to it and it tasted like cheese. This food was just blah. The fajita meat was last nights leftover chewy like jerky. The brisket quesadillas were cubed yes cubed and again chewy with no taste. She was so sweet, quick, helpful, and tentative!!!! I was impressed with this restaurant just because of the customer service. We were quickly greeted and sat right away. That was so nice because we had a large party. When my family eats out we usually get bad serve ice because there's a lot of us. Not here!!! They were able to accommodate all of us with the best customer service. The manager also helped us and made sure we were good and taken care of that. So delicious!!!! I love it here. I went here based on good reviews and being around the area! The food is so flavorful, authentic, quick, and priced well! It will quickly become a staple for me. I have gotten their tacos (brisket and fajita ones), but I can't wait to try some more of their options like the quesadilla and soups. As for their queso... it is pretty good!! We are super picky about our Mexican food. We passed by this place for years without giving it any thought. One day we decided to try it for lunch. We like it so much we came back for dinner the same day. Everything we've ordered has been delicious. They have my favorite salsa I've ever had. If you want the most amazing thing you've ever eaten, try the brisket enchiladas. They are unique and worth every calorie. Entering, you'll see a bar and there's televisions for sports. From the outside it looks small but upon entering the restaurant it's big and deep inside. Overall it's pretty chill and I'd say you can have a good time with a small or large party. Chips and salsa is complimentary and ordered the caldo de hoya and carne asada. Food is pretty good and large portion for what it's worth; it's priced reasonably. I want to say the caldo was seasoned okay but, the carne asada was really good. I'll have to give this place another go and try the caldo de pollo or res before judging any further. Servers/staff was professional and respectful. Food came out fast and fresh and menu is via QR. Cas Mama is our favorite Mexican restaurant! HOWEVER, Cas Mama is NOT your average TexMex restaurant like Ojeda's or El Fenix. I like Ojeda's, not so much the Fenix, for a good mexican meal anyday. Cas Mama has roots from Monica Green's past restaurants. I would say it is Ciudad Mexico style food. More upscale food that you would get in a nice restaurant in Mexico City. We think prices are very reasonable. This may sound crazy, but my wife and many friends and family that we have taken there, love the Mexican LASAGNA! YES-Lasagna They use corn tortillas instead of pasta and grilled chicken. My favorite is the Julissa's Pasta with grilled chicken. BOTH are in a box at the bttom right of the MAMA'S SPECIALTIES. Call me crazy but you should try. We went last night but server was TERRIBLE! That said, we've spoken with the manager in the past and with today's labor shortage his response was basically "Just be glad I could even hire that server or you would not be getting your meal." He was VERY apologetic but I know how hard it is to get any employees today especially good employees. I'll also give them the benefit of a doubt that she was a new hire and in training. Love this little gem hidden in a strip center. We started with the white queso white is one of best I've had. Chips and salsa great too. I had the salmon salad and the salmon was perfectly cooked. My husband and son both had beef fajitas which they devoured. Enough said. We ended with tres leches and wow that was so good. Margaritas, we got house frozen, are very good.
