I'm amending my earlier review. I gave this place a couple weeks to get their act together and just came in there today, expecting the worst. The service was actually much better and quicker and capable than last time I ate there. They had all the ingredients, they had drinks, they had all the amenities (napkins, forks, lids, straws, etc.) and the staff seemed to be all new people from when I was here last time (maybe they fired all the inept people from before?). It was all as good as I remembered Cava originally tasting. Hoping it stays this way. read more

Do not online order from this location. Every single time I have ordered online whether it be through their app for pick up or through postmates for delivery, they have gotten my order wrong every single time. I can understand how once you can maybe misread something, but for something to always be wrong with my order ( certain parts of my order not added) is making me think the workers at this location just are not careful or don't care at all. I had to wait in an incredibly long line to get my food but it was worth it. The ordering is "chipotle-style", you pick a bowl or pita, pick your base (rice, lettuce, etc), then your protein, toppings, & dressing(s). They could have sped things up by having another person at the beginning of the line to start each order. The quality of the food was excellent. I got a chance to chat with a few people while waiting in line & they all raved about how good everything there was. I had the falafel and although it was different from most of the "traditional" falafel I've ordered, I really enjoyed it. There is a lovely seating area outside and they have an assortment of really good and slightly unusual beverages (although I thought the beverages were overpriced). read more

My friend and I just went to our newest CAVA store in Burbank, CA, and when I ordered a steak bowl, no one mentioned that there will be an extra $3 charge for steak in my make-your-own ("MYO") bowl until I was ready to pay. Chalking this up to my 1st time ordering steak, I just paid. BUT WHAT WAS SHOCKING is when my friend ordered 1/2 grilled chicken and 1/2 steak for her MYO bowl, she was also charged the same $3!!! She tried to contest this unfair pricing but the employee said that's how it is at CAVA! This seems so unfair and ripping their customers off!! My friend told me had they informed her that 1/2 steak would cost the same as getting just a full steak bowl, she would have never ordered it!! And to tell us this at the register is almost like holding your hungry customers hostage since no customers at that point will tell them to take the steak out! I felt bad because this was my friend's very 1st time trying CAVA and now this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I doubt she will ever go back! CAVA, you lost a customer over this unfair practice of charging the same price for full or 1/2 steak!! Yes, over $3!! You should rethink about this practice! #CAVA Another negative note is that we visited this restaurant on a Wednesday around 2pm (trying to avoid their long lunch traffic line), and they were out of the Harissa Honey chicken as well as the grilled chicken and told us to wait about 15-20 minutes! I took my friend to CAVA so she could taste my favorite Harissa Honey chicken, but we both walked away with no Harissa Honey chicken. In fact, several customers walked out after hearing the wait time! This shows that this store didn't plan well in preparing for their protein needs! read more

I hate to be that person, but to be honest I wasn't expecting this from Cava. I placed an order through door dash for a simple salad bowl. Once I received my order, which took approximately an hour due to the order not being ready for the dasher to pick up, it was completely wrong. Not to mention there were added ingredients which I never asked for that I am not allowed to eat. Multiple items were either wrong or missing and when I notified the store manager at the time, she mentioned that I could just contact door dash to get my money back. The purpose of my call wasn't to receive my money back, it was to inform them that this is the second time my order was incorrect. She then proceeded to apologize, which I appreciated, but how many times can one receive an incorrect order? It would be great if you could train the workers a bit better. It's safe to say I'm definitely sticking to the Pasadena location, if I ever go back to Cava, to avoid all this for the future. read more

The workers were very slow and all seemed high beyond their capacity to work while the line was backed up. One of the workers was literally picking at the rice and zoning out while the line was getting longer. Several people left. They didn't have any of the dips stocked. I was in line for twenty minutes and wasn't able to finish my food on my break. read more

Loooove. Why don't we have Cava in the SF Bay Area?? Dropped by twice during our one week in the area. Both adults and kids loved the flavors and options. I'm admittedly super picky about some foods (e.g. strong dislike for most dairy), so I love Chipotle-style. I enjoyed every single component that I tried -- standouts included the roasted eggplant, harissa paste, and the skhug. We had somebody with us who is closely watching their macros and was thrilled to have lentils as a base option (high protein, high fiber). We were also able to easily compose kid-friendly and healthy wraps and bowls. All of the workers were incredibly nice. Portions were very generous -- probably 2x the amount of protein that Chipotle gives... meaning two meals for me if I'm not hangry. Seating was ample, clean and spacious, including both indoor and outdoor options. read more

CAVA - Destroyed this delicious bowl I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! - Mediterranean Near Me - Burbank, California

I have come to this CAVA 3 times now- each time something has been off. Most recently, I decided to place a pick up order, for convenience as it is intended. I got to the location after my set pickup time, so I thought my food would definitely be ready. I waited an additional 15-20 minutes because it had not even been started on, along with about 5-6 other people. This wait caused a lot of congestion at the register area, making for an unpleasant experience for those dining in. A restructure of staffing around rush hours would be very helpful, as the area is teeming with industrial building employees, travelers from the nearby airport, and entertainment workers. The food is good, but needs some work. In my salad, I notice the black lentils are undercooked and the dressing was drizzled instead of on the side, as indicated on my online order, and the ticket placed over the lid. I hope the management team takes these reviews into consideration moving forward, it could potentially be a good food spot for the area. read more
