My second time at CAVA and I'm starting to think I need to follow someone else's recipe LOL I did the Build Your Own Greens + Grains Bowl that included Baby Spinach, Brown Rice, Dips (Tzatziki, Red Pepper Hummus, & Crazy Feta), Grilled Chicken, Toppings (Fire-Roasted Corn, Pickled Onion, Pita Crisps, Crumbled Feta, & Salt-Brined Pickles), and topped it off with Hot Harissa Vinaigrette and Garlic Dressing. Can't forget the free Pita bread that comes with the order! My recipe this time was less saucy compared to my first time at a different location. I was able to enjoy it more, but there was something that made me sick of it after half of my meal was complete. I couldn't finish the bowl because of how full I was. It was certainly fresh and enjoyable, but not $15 worthy, imo. Beware, SEATING IS LIMITED! Granted, I went at 6:30pm on a Tuesday, recently after it's grand opening. There wasn't any available seating at the time, forcing those of us in line to make our order to go. Meanwhile, one employee was taking up a whole table to do something on her computer... I'm over the moon there's now a Cava in Fullerton. I've been to the Anaheim Hills & Costa Mesa location and have been wishing for one closer! Easy parking, signaled corner by the new EOS gym but tucked kind of in the corner. It's a little smaller as far as sitting area, but I'm not going to complain-- just happy they opened. Overall, similar experiences. You create your own bowls with so many options of grains and greens, protein/vegetables, sauces, toppings, and dressings. There's literally limitless potential based off what you're craving. The portion is decent for the price and drinks are not too bad either. Highly recommend. Only con/ suggestion that I have (and I've also experienced this at other Cavas) is having a staff regularly clean the tables. I had to clean my table first. And although we were checked on for satisfaction, I still noticed not the cleanest empty tables next to us. I have been craving CAVA because the food is tasty and I love how healthy it is. Unfortunately, my excitement was quickly deflated by the rude and lackluster customer service at this location. It was deflating because not only had I been craving CAVA, but I was also, excitedly, introducing my boyfriend to CAVA for the first time. There are two specific people who were just rude, disinterested and seemingly dislike working at CAVA. I wish I would have asked their names, but I was so disappointed that I just wanted to get my food and eat. The first was a tall, skinny, white female who seemed rushed and annoyed at my request to get half salad and half lentils. To be fair to her, I was taking a bit of time in deciding as I was also explaining how to order to my boyfriend. She then passed me off to an even more rude shorter Asian lady who was so unwelcoming. I wish my experience was isolated, but the a party of about 4 females who were infront of us were also commenting on how ruden these two female workers were. I definitely don't want to shame anyone, but it really took away from not only my boyfriend's first experience, but the excitement I had to indulge in this food. Customer service is everything! For $13 make your own bowl, the amount of food you get, different variety of flavors, and delicious dressings, it's so worth the value and would even say this is healthy alternative meal that's pretty filling. However, each location of CAVA I've been to, the service is a lot slower when compared to Chipotle. There's also a long line and somehow the servers take a long time to complete a bowl. But I don't really eat at the restaurant so what I've been doing is getting their app and ordering pickup through the app so by the time I get there, my food is ready to go. After the third time trying to give this location a chance, sadly I will not anymore. Portions were very small for the price, even without comparing it to other Cava locations. Not a fan of the flies behind the sneezeguard landing on the food. They didnt provide or offer the pita slice that typically come with the bowls. Also noticed they were not practicing FIFO with the proteins. They just placed the newer hot meats over the older meats on the service line. Unfortunately, this is one less local spot to support. I guess this is just as well since its challenging to get a parking spot since there's a gym next door. You'll be left waiting forever while they assign one person to you, but they've got two staff members hustling for online orders, even when there's a long line of people. 2. Maybe it's because we showed up at 7:30 pm, but the selection of vegetable toppings was pitiful. Both online and walk-in customers got served scraps. It wasn't until I asked them to restock the tomato and cucumber that they actually bothered to go to the fridge right behind them and swap out the containers. And this wasn't just one item--it was at least six different toppings. Seriously, step it up. We're paying for a decent meal here. I'm a fan of Cava's food, have been for awhile. I know this location is pretty new, but they really need to get it together! First off, it's TINY. There are maybe 8 tables, if that. It's nearly impossible to get a table at lunch time, especially since rude people finish eating and refuse to leave, instead they sit at the table with their empty bowl scrolling on their phones. The workers seem frazzled and unorganized. On our most recent visit, my husband and I arrived right before noon to a line of 10+ people ahead of us. I don't know what was going on, but they somehow messed up the orders of a group of three at the front of the line. This caused the rest of the orders to get backed up, and soon there were at least 10 bowls sitting in a row on the counter, but nobody could work on them because for some reason it took 3 employees to rectify the issue. During this exciting wait, more and more people arrived and soon the line was out the door. Of course, there were no empty tables, so we all had to take our food to go. We decided from now on we are going to place our order online, pick it up, and eat at our office. It's not worth the frustration to stand in line and hope there will be a table open for us.
