I used to love to go to this location, the one on 27th and Broadway. However this is the second time I go and they deny to make a smoothie. I went at 5pm and ask for a matcha energizer and I was told there weren't doing anymore smoothies. Then I went to their website and they close at 7pm. I overheard when the employee asked another employee if she had cleaned the machine. So because machine for the smoothies was clean, they refused to make the smoothie. Very bad customer service at this location, however at the location on Broadway and 22nd street, no complains. They are great, fast service and never have refused to make a smoothie. I work in the hospitality industry and as a waitress, if a customer comes in at closing time, I always take care of them. But in this case, closing time was 7pm. That's call laziness. read more

It was a good balance of the grassy taste of matcha, tartness of the yuzu juice and mint. I'd definitely get this again. To go along with the lemonade I got the matcha croissant which is definitely a made-for-Instagram pastry. I couldn't detect matcha in the croissant until I got to the center which is filled with matcha cream. This was enjoyable and worth getting. Ok, this shop is super cute and their matcha is amazing! I came here for the second time today and tried their iced matcha latte for the first time. They only had soy and oat milk today because they were out of everything else. I never had oat milk, but decided to try it in my latte. The drink was perfection! It gave me the boost I needed before my yoga class but was light and didn't make me feel full or gross. The flavors of the oat milk with the match really complimented each other and I would totally order it again and again! I literally went to 3 different locations because the drinks are soooo good! They're located all over NYC and I'm so happy! I tried all the seasonal drinks basically and none of them disappointed. Not only is the place so pretty and cute, the drinks are too! They also use recycled straws which I appreciate! Some drinks have CBD and some have collagen which I think is why the drinks are a bit pricier. It's a bit expensive but if you're on vacation or you just want to treat yourself, this is the place to get your drinks. I had good vibes at every location. I highly recommend the macadamia but milk, the taste aligns well being used for a matcha latte and it's not a choice you find many places. There are baked goods available many matcha varieties. All three employees that were there this afternoon must have all been having a really bad day, or are just normally very unpleasant people. I got the iced "Beautiful Latte" which was fairly pricey ($8.70 after tax) but supposed to contain a bunch of healthy stuff (collagen, ashwagandha which google tells me is a very popular Indian medicinal herb) as well as honey, bee pollen, and vanilla. It was really delicious - creamy but not overly rich. There's also definitely some sort of herbal taste to it that was noticeable but not unappealing. I assume that's the Indian herb.
