Service: Could be better, had to call across to get their attention multiple times. When they did check, they checked in right after I had to call for help and it wasn't even a full house and we didn't even ask for a lot. Side dishes: The broccoli and the potato salad had an after taste that lingered. Was unsure if it was old. Cucumber and the Japchae was better. Steam egg had a bbq taste and we couldn't get past the first bite. Meat: Thinly slice pork belly was actually thin so it was great but sadly very dry . Brisket was very lean. Beef belly was the right in between of fatty. Keep in mind all beef belly does make you feel heavy and oily at the end. But still was my favorite one. Sauce: brisket sauce was okay, seem like it was missing something. Glad I got the salad dressing on the side. You're able to order onions and garlic on the side. They also give you one free scoop of ice cream per person! Sadly for me personally, 23.99 is too much for someone like me. We only ordered two and a half orders of meat and only 8 shrimp and 2 hites. Total was 64.63. Not worth it for me especially cause I couldn't even get one more scoop of ice cream , but if you're a big eater it's a different story. read more

Have been to plenty of Korean BBQ eateries in the past who had great, customer service, excellent quality consumable options, and most importantly, impeccable cleanliness. However, that was not the case with this place, went to eat at this restaurant last week Friday 2/23/2024 for the first time, was invited to eat here to celebrate a family members birthday dinner celebration. Was very skeptical upon entering the restaurant, was not impressed at all, the ceiling, floors, walls, tables, chairs, windows, etc., if you can see it, you can smell, see & feel the greasy residue everywhere. Meat quality was terrible, could tell it was the lowest of the selections they buy; steak options were all pale & discolored lacking any natural red color to it, could tell they had been defrosted & not fresh at all; chicken looked and smelled as it was becoming rancid, which I felt the restaurant must of known but they sent it to our table nonetheless, either way, if they did or did not know, I would not put my faith into them because if they didn't know the chicken was bad then they are definitely someone who you don't want to be eating something they offer you; same goes for the pork, seasoning tasted bad, didn't look fresh at all & didn't like how it tasted, felt as if they were trying to hide something. None of the side dish options were appealing, all of them looked as if they had been sitting out for a long time, soggy noodles, soggy & limp vegetables with no crisp or snap to them, plus, they had bad flavors, no freshness whatsoever. And to add insult to injury, get this, consumers beware, they actually have the audacity to charge you a ("YOU GUESSED IT, AN ADDITIONAL GRATUTIY FEE FOR WHAT THEY DEEM TO BE A PARTY WHICH IS WITHIN THE 20%" THAT THEY SELF ADD TO THE BILL FOR YOU CHOOSING TO EAT AT THEIR RESTAURNT, I MEAN TALK ABOUT THE ACTUAL DEFINITION OF THE WORD "ABSURDITY"). So make sure to read your recipe before letting them run your card because places such as this one are praying on you not pay attention to their bill and purposely let you add an additional tip to their over conveniently inflated 20% party fee. Came with a group of friends and the food was not bad. The only thing that was not so great was the attitude given by our waitress (girl with doc boots). Idk if she's got some kind of issue or she hates her job but if I wanted to have a bad time I would have went to my ex's house for free. She was nice at first but I guess when we called her again for something she was annoyed and said "is that it?" with a sarcastic tone as if her job was to not be bothered. There was a total of eleven us and we had to be split between two tables (no table big enough to fit us). For Kbbq they have two different options A for $18.99 and B for $21.99 Both of our tables chose to get option A for $18.99. It included a variety of different meats such as brisket, pork belly, chicken teriyaki and shrimp. It also comes with kimchi fried rice, tofu soup and egg bowl. I was a fan instantly of the variety. It was definitely nice to see some items that aren't typically on the menu for other KBBQ spots. Aside from a large variety of the savory meats and side dishes, they also have free ice cream here! That night there was green tea ice cream and chocolate with almonds ice cream. It's always nice to have some sweet after so much savory. Overall a great place for KBBQ! One of the better KBBQ spots I've been to. $20-$25 for all you can eat (25 offers a few more options) We had a few different types of meat, the ribs were a bit tough, but everything else was tender and delicious, and very well seasoned. The pork chops surprised me the most, they were so soft! Banchan (small side plates to accompany the meal): Well seasoned/spiced, special shout out to the pickled/spicy cucumbers, spicy radish salad (Mu Saengchae), and stir fried fish cake (Eomuk Bokkeum). Honorable mention to the potato salad, very tasty. We also got an egg-pot and kimchi fried rice, that I mixed together once they got a bit of a crunchy bottom from the hot pot - game changer! They added just enough kimchi to the rice so that everything was incorporated perfectly! Dessert: Ice cream. Self serve scoops of thrifty brand ice cream on a sugar cone, what's not to like?! It was very nostalgic, took me right back to being 7 years old.. Cookie dough and green tea, perfection, and just the thing to get rid of that garlic kimchi breath. Constructive criticism: I will say that we arrived an hour after they opened on Saturday, so it was not very busy, it was just starting to fill up as I was leaving. I'm sure that added to the experience (not being slammed with people). I also had to call the grill attendant/server over a few times because he was not checking up on us. If you stick with the brisket and pork belly, assuming you like those, then you're good. I wasn't a fan of the bulgogi. The marinade wasn't much for my liking. It's a standard AYCE KBBQ, the sides are typical ones you'll see at any other spots. You'll have to ask for rice and that steamed egg, if you want those. I ate till my heart's content on the two that I mentioned, and shrimp. But I did save room for ice cream. It's Rite Aid ice cream. I hadn't had Rite in what seems like 20 years or something like that. lol It's just been a while and my fave growing up was the chocolate malted crunch and they had it! This made up for the eye sore where we were seated at. Empty boxes stacked up with what nots, which so happened to be next to the ice cream cooler that contained the ice creams. All the staff receptionist, waiters , waitress are super friendly and are attentive, the staff never leaves with empty staff always know when to bring you more sides or ask you if need more meat , staff always ask you to raise or lower the grill , never does the staff leave you with a burning grill . Staff always makes sure you have what you need and if you don't know the name of the side dish they tell you what it is . Same thing with drinks never leave you empty handed . Always offer you free ice cream and let you know what flavors they have . Pricing is very good and reasonable . Ambiance is great people laughing , staff laughing as well . I give it 4 stars because it's not the best AYCE out there, but it's always consistently good. I like getting the beef belly, finger rib, and galbi. The ice cream is always the best! Wow never thought we could do such legit kbbq at home until covid happened and we were major craving the kbbq experience. Looked it up on yelp and saw that CSG was offering at home bbq meals and decided to try it out and was so amazed at how good it turned out. We got the small at home bbq plate and there was definitely enough to feed four people! The kit came with your choice of two meats, two sides, rice, rice paper, salad, soft tofu soup, and two ice creams! They also give you brisket sauce, salad dressing, and sriracha sauce. You literally have all that you need. We just used a small portable gas stove and used a regular pan to cook the meat and honestly think that I would want to do kbbq like this all the time even after covid is over (IF it's ever over lol). read more

My favorite kbbq spot in OC! Always great service and food. When I lived in OC I used to go once a month with coworkers after a long day. Shoutout to Sam, always took care of us so well! We dined last night with covid restrictions and it felt very safe. They have you check in outside, you can give a preference for inside/outside/first available and leave your phone number to be contacted when your tables ready. They said the wait was an hour to an hour and a half, ended up being 45 minutes. They called to let me know we were next and they were getting the table ready. Once we got to the table, everything was all set up including the bonchon and waters. We were able to order meats right away + any extras like rice paper, egg pots and sesame oil. They're super quick, nice and attentive. They have thin slice pork belly, I think that's new - super good! At the end of our meal, they asked if we wanted ice cream! Love that they still offer ice cream even tho it's not self serve. They bring it out in prepackaged containers and it's great. 10/10 recommend for your next kbbq craving!! read more

The sides were good and the same like every other ayce kbbq joint. They steam egg was nice and delish. The rice paper felt and tasted warm and fresh. I hate kbbq joints that give rubbery, snake skin rice paper. We got the beef belly, brisket, shrimp, and spicy beef belly. The beef belly was nice and flavorful not to fatty. The brisket was nice and flavorful, and not to tuff. Shrimp was ok but nothing special. The spicy beef was also ok. The main reason i love this joint is there scoop yourself icecream. Went for the first time in awhile last night for a family birthday celebration. (COVID has kept us from a lot of favorites.) All the times I have been before were kind of slow as they were off-times on a weekend or holiday. Dinner time on a Monday was a completely different experience! The food is always good. (Try the Kimchi Fried Rice!) I love all the sides and the meat is always flavorful and plentiful. What ultimately pushed me to finally review was the staff. They were so attentive and just ON IT. The place was packed and they still managed to check in on us in regular intervals. At one point my water was low and a random server (not ours) flew by with a tray and placed a pitcher of ice water down as they went! I didn't even have to ask, and while it was done quickly, it was still done with care and precision. No one else at our table even noticed at first! This place came recommended by two good friends of mine. It is near Knott's Berry Farm, same plaza where the old Farrells was. I came with another friend for Thursday dinner. There was plenty of parking when we came around 7:20 PM. At first we struggled to find the front door, as they have a neon sign in the front window, but the door is not clearly marked. It's on the left side of the building, second door. We were seated quickly in a booth. We chose the $23.99 menu which has more items. We ordered thin sliced pork, thin sliced beef, garlic pork, bulgogi, and the prime steak. My friend also got egg pot and I got spicy tofu stew. The meats are tender when cooked and the flavoring is well balanced. Not too salty and it paired nicely with the soy sauce or sriracha. Staff were attentive and friendly. We got refills on egg pot, water, and our sauces in less than a minute. We should have ordered half portions to try more as we got full quite fast. They do have that option, which is a good idea if you plan to try lots of meats. There's no charge for leftover meat here, which is good. I will definitely come back with friends. read more
