My husband and I often chose Cheddar's because of its good quality food at an affordable price. There is a wide selection of menu items to chose from. Our food was very good yesterday, and our waiter was kind. However, we found a meal prep sticker in one of our meals and plastic in one of our to-go drinks. I called and spoke with the manager this morning, and he was understanding and listened to my concerns. He made the situation right, and I appreciate that. Thank you Mr. Mark! I grew up in the restaurant business, and one observation of this location is that the environment feels very "slow". Although the staff is kind and well meaning, they need some motivation to increase their energy level. Although Cheddar's is a budget friendly restaurant, customers would like to see a motivated staff and an upbeat environment. Went there last night for Fathers Day, ordered Ribeye steaks, beatiful cut of meat, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Steaks were tender, juicy and so flavorful, been a long time since ive had a steak that tasted so great that i did not have to use A1 on it. We then waited over an hour for food where everyone in the tables around us had ate and left by then. The serving staff was good and very attentive. On January 6, 2019 at dinner they did not have any chips for Chips and Queso appetizers and Nachos. Also no carrots. Food portions were very small and about half the size at other restaurants. Mango Tea was tooooooo sweet and almost like syrup in thickness. I probably could make two glass just from that one glass of mango tea. They replaced the tea and it was better the second and third time. My entree was the steak and it was over-seasoned and salty. At 6 ounces the steak was not a big issue. My sides were Broccoli cheese casserole and buttered off the cob corn. The casserole was a bit runny and the corn tasted like it was cooked in a sweetener to make the corn sweeter. The serving portion size for each would have been about half the size of an ice cream scoop or maybe 2-3 teaspoons. Dessert was the monster cookie that looked nothing like the picture and was plated horribly. Although it did not look good the cookie was good but a bit on the extra sweet size. The ice cream cherry and whip cream has slid off the top of the cookie and that's why it did not look that good. I wondered how their prices where less than other restaurants such as Chili's. The portion are much smaller than than I have experienced at any restaurant and about the size a kid would eat. The honey croissants were excellent appetizers. read more

The food is typical Cheddar's but come at your own risk... The tile floor is ridiculously slippery and not appropriate for a restaurant. Everything time I come is a skating rink... I saw a lady almost break her ankle when he does twisted and she fell on her butt and didn't hurt herself is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

It's not a place that I would say hey want to go eat at Cheddar's. Was not impressed with the food at all. The salad was over running with dressing the chicken fried steak was a joke. The tables were a mess and nasty. Food all stuck by the table just pretty much poor cleanliness and lack of care for a restaurant. The attention to the dump needs to be evaluated by upper management are the owner who has personal interest. read more

A group of us decided that this is no longer a choice for lunch anymore because of how extremely slow the service is. The last time I was there, we didn't get one drink refill, and had to ask another waiter about our food. Pretty typical restaurant. I had the jalapeño burger and for the most part it tasted good. The jalapeño were fried which was disappointing. Also, I did make the assumption that when I ordered the burger it came with fries. However, all I got was a burger in a plate. When I asked about the fries I was told it didn't come with sides. My waiter had the personality of a stone and never asked if I wanted sides or even made me aware I needed to ask. My wife ordered the grilled Baja chicken. She received a shallow bowl of black beans and rice with a few small pieces of chicken. The star of this dish was the enormous amount of beans and rice. The chicken was like an after thought. I stopped in here for an early lunch with a friend on Galentine's day which fell on a Wednesday. We were seated right away and our entrees came super fast. I ordered the lunch combo of half a Monte Cristo and half a Cheddar's Club sandwich with the Chocolate Raspberry Mini Cake for dessert. The Monte Cristo was the most delicious one I've had even without the tasty raspberry sauce, but with the sauce it was a whole other level of deliciousness. It was soo good it really shined a light on the lack in the Club sandwich. First of all, the white sandwich bread was hard practically crunchy toast and wasn't worth the bread calories so I took it off and ate it without. A sandwich like that Club really needs a great bread or it's just not worth ordering so I won't get that again. The whole time I was eating it, I was just wishing it was more Monte Cristo. The mini cake was tasty and the whipped cream on top was really good, but I could tell it was a pre-made cake that had been reheated in the microwave. This is one of my parent's go-to restaurants, and they always want to go here when I visit. Tonight was crowded, but we were able to get right in to a seat. The drinks were good, and the pricing on the margaritas was reasonable. I got the lemon-pepper whitefish with a baked potato and a house salad. The house salad weirdly came with eggs on it, which I was neither expecting nor interested in. The eggs were all cut up and all through the salad, making them hard to pick out. If I had known, I certainly would have had them leave the eggs off. The rest of the salad was fine - lettuce, cheese, and two halves of a grape-sized tomato. Certainly nothing exciting. The lemon-pepper whitefish was cooked well, but it was basically seasoned with salt, salt, and then some more salt. This is why my family stopped going to Chili's, as everything there is massively over-salted, and Cheddar's is as well, at least with this particular dish. The baked potato was the best part of the whole meal, but it's really hard to mess up a baked potato with butter and cheese on it, which is what I ordered. The service was good, even for being crowded and quite noisy. I would not recommend this place for the food. read more

I want to give a huge shout out to Mr. Foster and staff at Cheddars restaurant in Baytown Texas. Saturday, I lost a $400 gift card. I took a chance and I asked the bartender if anyone had turned one in. She told me, usually they assume that if they are left that they must be empty and they usually throw them away. I told her that it had $400 on it and she promptly got the manager. This girl went as far as to dig in the bathroom trashcan for me since that is where I assumed I lost it. The manager took my phone number and my name and told me he would call me if someone turned it in. He called me yesterday and told me that he was about to make my day much better. Indeed he did!!! Thank you to whoever turned the card in and a big big thank you again Mr. Foster! Good people still exist, I am one of them, and karma does come back around. read more

IV had many things in my time of going there and all pretty good tasting and what I think most is a little to much on the serving size ,always seem to come home with leftovers.
