Please find a way to tell your servers that they have a table. This has happened multiple times where I have sat and had to flag down someone on the go after 10+ minutes. Thankfully Kendrick was so kind. The manager stood there talking to someone else and when he found out the issue still did not acknowledge me or try and fix anything. Met up with friends at this location. The hostess welcomed us, the lady that seated us on the other hand, twice we told her we needed to be seated at the bar, she moved us from one side of the restaurant to the other, we thought she was taking us to the bar, she seated us in a booth. My friends and I looked at each other and let it slide, seemed she was either annoyed or having a bad evening. We ordered margaritas, mine literally had no taste, had to call my server, manager came he spoke with me and I ordered something else. Service was not the best at all. If I could give them less than a star I would. Went in and was greeted by the hostess. She told us it would be 5-10 minutes before we could be seated. We have SES the bathroom and noticed that there was multiple tables open yet they were making people wait. I saw 10 4 tops open in one section. The bar was also wide open and since we were in a bit of a hurry I asked if we could sit in there. She said we could except for the booths, we would have to wait on them. I said well that is where I would want to sit. She then said with the most sarcastic tone she could muster, "well I guess you'll just have to wait then". Well, we didn't wait. Nice restaurant to enjoy a variety of food and cocktails at a very reasonable price. Service is good and sometimes there is a 10-15 minute wait. Our server was friendly and professional. She was even training another server who was nice. Food and drinks came out on time. Server checked in on us several times to make sure we were doing ok. She made sure to refill out drinks promptly. Normally, I don't go in for chains, but my wife had a craving for their chicken pot pie, which I tasted, and it was quite good. I had ordered the ribs which were not memorable, but were okay. The bad thing with chain restaurants is that they try to cater to such a broad clientele, that they do very little very good. The ribs proved the rule. They were par-cooked beforehand and put onto a grill with BBQ sauce. Make no mistake. This is not real barbecue. Service was good, and quick, as well as moderately attentive. We hadn't been to Cheddars in years, but on Mothers day, we found ourselves looking for a restaurant to eat dinner at that didn't have a 1 hour wait. Cheddars was close and had no wait. I had forgotten just how big the place is. It's massive, unfortunately I don't feel that they have the staff to handle it well. I won't get into the details, but our service wasn't good, the table next to us also had poor service, from not have drinks refilled, to salads without dressing until the entree is brought out, to the table next to us having their order come out wrong. It was dissapointing because the restaurant is nice, the food is pretty good, and the prices are very reasonable. If you can handle bad service and expect it going in, it's a great place for you. If good service is important to you, I'd stay away. Im sure we will be back, but it would be much sooner if they hired better staff. read more

I feel like my mom who used to say "I can't have anything nice!" that is how I feel about The Colony with our Cheddars. Seriously?! Look at this place! Come on Y'all! We must do better as a community in taking care of fairly new establishments and as business owners and managers. This isn't ok. I am aware that the menu at Cheddars has changed as of about a year ago but it still stings every time I realize they no longer offer their amazing onion rings or spaghetti/lasagna dish they were so known for. Bring back the delicious menu- it wasn't broke (but the faucet is). Fix that instead. Why why are their straws in the middle of the toilet paper roll on the floor? Only wait staff have that many straws... Just what is happening? I keep asking myself...Had I seen the bathroom before dinner I would have left because - if this is what the Cleanliness of the bathroom is - What on earth is happening in the Kitchen? Went here for dinner with the family. Hostess didn't listen when getting on the list and put us down as party of 2 instead of 6. When our group was called we corrected that we were in fact a party of six, the hostess acted extremely annoyed. Couldn't tell if it was annoyance with us or with whoever wrote down the count. Our waitress Rachel was good, helpful and prompt in taking care of us. The food was good and came out relatively fast. Rachel stayed on top of keeping drinks refilled and was pleasant and friendly. We got a sense of a large percentage of team members who did not want to work together or were not happy to be there. Great experience all around. Clean location, seated promptly for lunch, our server, Byanca, arrived quickly and with a wonderful smile, very upbeat. She stayed on top of things throughout the meal, without us having to get her attention. The Philly Cheesesteak was on of the best I've had, and I think what set it apart was the seasoning on the meat. New Orleans pasta was cold, so much so that I asked the waiter to warm it up, garlic bread was cold, hamburger was cold and looked as though it sat on the line all day , cheese wasn't melted and had that old like film on it like it was sitting in air all day, chicken tenders and fries weren't fresh. Food is consistent for Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, same quality, same quantity. Service is adequate and quick during off-peak times, not elaborate or exceptional. We've visited this location several times and they've had some new-location pains, but they've been satisfactory enough for Cheddar's quality experience and food. After 10 minutes a waitress dropped off a tasty croissant and disappeared for another 5 minutes before taking my drink order. Keep in mind that I'm seated next to the bar...10 minutes later my drink arrives. I feel like I've been waiting here in this nearly empty cheddars all afternoon. Finally, my meal arrives -- almost what I ordered -- I eat and wait for the waitress to return to get the check. She shows me the on-table pay option and I think "Great, maybe we can completely automate you into oblivion." Cheddar's before and after covid has lost it's appeal. Every time I attempt to visit any Cheddars location I can never get service for 30 minutes. And I am not talking about the wait to get a table. That is a whole other story. After I am seated no waiters stop by the table to get a drink order. Well, today I sat at the bar hoping to get service quickly. Nope. Bartender disappears for 10 minutes and ignored me for the first 20 minutes I was there. Not to mention the group of 4 that was sitting behind me in booth seating. The bar wasn't busy. I saw more busboys/girls cleaning tables than actual waiters. It's one star only because I have to put one. (Yes I'm one of those tonight) Let's start with it took forever to even get help at the bar never got water, or napkins anything. My first drink was so nasty I believe it was grande top shelf margarita, there was absolutely nothing "top shelf" about it. It tasted like pure margarita mix and bad lime. I ended up sending it back and just ordered their strawberry margarita which unfortunately tasted bad ,My husband drank one beer and was never offered anything with an empty glass just sitting in front of him. After 15 minutes we were finally able to put all our order in. We also waited 15 maybe 20 mins for the appetizer to come out mind you his beer was already done and my drink is just sitting there since it just was not even an ok drink, again no water . Finally after being there easily an hour my husband asked the bartender Jordan how much longer it would take he said he would go check on it . He came back with our food, it actually was not hot it was somewhat room temperature meaning the food had been sitting there. My husband and I were so over it we just asked to pay for our tab which was those two drinks and the appetizer, I was kind and even tipped him "something" it was not all him to blame even though he seemed very unpleasant it was also the whole restaurant the manager I believe wearing the red shirt as we overheard him asking if a plate he was looking for was the remade plate, anyways Jordan apologized and said he'd get the manager to see what he could do for us after we paid, my husband and I were honestly not interested in anything they could offer us. Wow! Some of the worst service I've ever had, by far. On a Wednesday night, in an empty restaurant it took 27 minutes from when we sat down until we received 2 drinks from the bar. Waiter could not have cared less about his job or us. It took 32 minutes for the honey croissants to come out, and it came out along with our food which we were rushed into ordering. First time to this location after I was recommended to come. First, the service, food, and lastly overall evaluation. The service was present. However, there was a LACK of appreciation of working there I felt. No smiles from the host, waitress, and the gentlemen who kindly delivered my food. In every establishment, smiles are key for making a grand visit and a guests' day better or more enjoyable. Our server was polite though. Took her time with us, checked up on us, and was focused that we had our food. The food was tasty and presentation was nice. My plate was a steak with shrimp broccoli, and green beans. The downs: the steak was more red than I asked and would have liked, but I was able to bare it except one piece. It look almost between rare to medium rare when I asked for medium. The steak also tasted and felt like it was left out for a few more minutes. It came like Leuk warm. The garnish below the steak felt overpowering and even not necessary. The green beans were as I recall spicer than ever mentioned or perceived and the cheesy broccoli casserole was alright. The ups: the shrimp was delicious hands down. The rice that also came with my plate tasted good, too. The peach Tea was refreshing in many ways. My overall thoughts were that I'm glad I know the place existed and that I tried it at least once. I would recommend the place with suggestions of what to order and not. The staff was, especially our waitress was kind, but I was disappointed with the lack of happiness I felt from the employees. The atmosphere was unique and if anyone reading goes, you'll find out why. I left a little unsatisfied and still desiring more from my food. If I could give no stairs on this review .I Went to Cheddars ordered a chicken friend steak. I noticed that the meat inside of the breaded steak was burnt but the outside of the steak was not. Once I remove all the breading the whole meat was burned on both sides. I ask the wait staff how the steak got burned on the inside. I was informed that the meat is precooked in the oven then when someone orders a chicken fried steak it's then breaded and put in a deep fryer. When I ask why they would do that they simply said it cooks faster that way. The meat was double cooked and tough as a boot. When I mentioned this they could have cared less! I won't be returning!
