Breakfast Menu
Cathi S.

We had a nice breakfast today. DH had the half order on Eggs Benedict. They actually used Canadian Bacon which he called a win since he didn't have to work hard to get a bite that included all layers of flavor. The hash browns were suitable crispy and tasty. I had the oatmeal. I have to say first that I like old fashioned oats where you can see and feel the oat texture. I was afraid that these oats were going to be "mush" so was pleasantly surprised to find some texture in the bowl. Served with toast (I'm gluten intolerant) and milk (no dairy for me) but I was offered oat milk along with brown sugar and raisins. Service was generally attentive DH did have to request a refill of his good coffee later in the meal. If you have been to "The Chuck Wagon" in the past you will now find an updated facility. With new chairs, some new smaller tables, nice flooring along with a mural and new art.

Steak and Chicken Kebabs, super delicious. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. No pictures of the ribs but they are also the best ever! A must try!

French dip. Was excellent.

I ordered the French dip with the onion rings and a side of coleslaw. Everything was excellent. The drinks were good and the the service was excellent I'll be back

Taking great care of all customers Very alert and aware and kind wait staff Lots of TV's everywhere Featuring all sports and dedicating tv screens tonight ( Thursday April 9 2026) to the Family Fued game night. The entire team would stop and check up on us all evening. Clean and beautiful restrooms An inviting and warm atmosphere What made this evening even more fun was my Soul Sister Barb ( she calls me her permanent pain in the culo) invited me to join her dear friends and her for this event. How spunky and full of life was this group you akse me? On the second card ( 2 of 6) was " We asked. a 100 women this question- What is better than sex with your man? One of the ladies who is 84 years young immediately responded" Sex with 2 men". I fell off my barstool. This was the perfect place to enjoy this nostalgic and hysterical catch up. Feel free to post my full visit from your security footage! My husband, kids, and I stopped in for an early dinner, we had never been but see the reviews online so we wanted to try it out! Getting seated, we didn't want a high top and it was the only thing available. The hostesses couldn't give us an estimate of what the wait time would be for a different table, but I'm realizing after our horrendous experience- they probably weren't trained. We ended up just taking the high top to negate any further confusion with a time estimate. It's crowded inside, and your table is crowded. The energy and atmosphere is tense and overwhelming. It's a sports bar, though- so I feel like that's consistent with any other sports bar you'd pop in to. We decided on the build your own appetizer to start, it came out room temperature. While our server was taking our order for the rest of the food (there was apparently an issue with the table next to ours and their food being taken to the incorrect table, again with poor training) the manager went out to the table next to ours to deliver food and turned to the server at my table, taking my order, and interrupted me to yell at her. He yelled at her about putting the incorrect table on the tickets and the food going to the wrong table, yelled at her the right table numbers( I guess for her to remember next time?), and then stormed off. Leaving our server, to pick up the pieces and apologize for an emotionally triggered man that should have some self control if he's leading a team or part of a company. I was absolutely disgusted with the behavior of the leadership in this establishment and the food was unremarkable. Cold, bland, and stingy is how I would describe the food we were served. There were barely any cheese curds on the Poutine, The Ole Smokey pizza was mediocre and the pasta was bland. I think this restaurant rides the coattails of being on the food network but it does not meet expectations, by far. There is a lack of training all around and that falls on leadership, only. The hostesses couldn't give a wait time, the bartender was over serving customers (I'm reporting that separately to the state), and the servers/runners aren't fully trained for the floor- but instead of teaching, training and finding a resolution- their lead will berate and belittle them to satisfy his ego and ruin your experience. I'm actually grateful the food was as mediocre as it was because I'm happy to never be back.

The dining area was not busy with just 3-4 tables occupied and a few people at the barstools. I was seated quickly by a hostess and given two menus while waiting for my friend to arrive. Menu: it's about the size of a Sears Catalog (exaggeration but about 8+ pages front and back) and appears to serve food approved by the United Nations (food from different parts of the world). This is the type of menu Gordon Ramsey would go crazy over and shred to pieces. Portions are not larger than before but prices increased considerably! Food: I ordered a Veggie Omelette with Spinach added and Whole Wheat Toast, decaf coffee, and water. My friend ordered an all-meat skillet, sourdough toast, coffee, and water. The omelette/skillet was overcooked and dry. My friend sent back his toast because it was served with a MOLD SPOT on it. Our server was not swayed by the mold and replaced it. No apologies or contact from the managers. By this point, we just didn't want to finish what we ordered and left. Dining room is well lit and spacious. Lots of available seating but could not help that their "Grand Opening" sign has been hanging outside for WEEKS. Servers are slow and never seem to be pleasant (more melancholy). Overheard one server speaking with some guests at a table using profanity. This review was based on my individual experience. This used to be our favorite breakfast spot but clearly is no longer the case. Having watched the gradual decline in quality and service, I am no longer inspired to spend my money at AZ Diner.

When I saw 2 1/2 stars, I was more than a little turned off, but I was feeling adventurous today. I'm glad I tried this place because it's nicer than I expected. It's several steps up from being a dive bar. After a few minutes standing at the front, I decided to ignore the "please wait to be seated" sign since it was apparent that there was no host this coming... The fish was very good and all-you-can-eat for $14.99 is a terrific price these days. It would be nice if the fried fresh was a little crispier, but it was tasty. The tartar sauce was a little sweet, but good. My only complaint with this place is that they have an outdoor covered patio where the smokers congregate. The door is open frequently and there's a blast of smoke entering the restaurant. If that's not an issue, give this place a try!

I walked in at 3:16 pm and was at the hostess desk for maybe 7 seconds when the same gentleman came up, greeted me and seated me. He was by the bar and we got talking about the weather, Texas, NY and life. Still early so he pulled up a chair next to my table and we continued our fun dialogue. Turns out this down to earth and very sweet guy is the owner Emilio Kimble. His wife Maria, also a sweetheart and he have brought this same natural love, care and service to their beautiful restaurant. The restaurant is big with indoor and outdoor seating, a gorgeous bar and tv's galore. My friends Barb and Luci arrived and they got their " usual" Tito's and soda plus a Cab. My Diet Coke was refilled constantly by the our very attentive waitress Emily. The food was stupendous. It had to be as Emilio's and Maria's love was contagious- Luci loved her Diamondback burger( photo). Barbara got really quiet ( a rarity)as she chomped on her tremendous pulled pork burger(;photo) and I got a special tuna salad on wheat with grilled peppers and onions and fresh avocado( photo snapped before I inhaled it). It was a beautiful sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty. It was a great meal. Big portions too. The regulars poured in and the laughter and fun continued as we moved to the bigger room for the Thursday night trivia. I love that they have a Jazz night, fish fry and shrimp Friday specials, a Billy Joel tribute night, a $16 Easter Buffet in 10 days( sadly I will be in Europe) and so many fun events on the calendar. ( photos). The restaurant is immaculate and bright. There is lots of parking up front. They cater and they deliver. They open daily at 9 am except for Mondays( closed). If you want to go into a dark, wood-paneled, bar-like establishment with red vinyl booths and mob bosses meeting in back rooms, you're better off at something like Durant's. This is not that. What great steak! As I said, the best we've had in the west valley. Excellent cuts, top quality meats. Cooked perfectly and as asked for. Tender, flavorful steak and the best baby-back ribs Ive ever had. For once they're not drenched in sticky-sweet, cheap BBQ sauce and overcooked. Nope, these were moist and fork-tender. The burgers are fantastic and the ribeye is juicy and full of flavor. The sirloin is top notch and the "Flo's Special" filet mignon is just perfect. The sides here are particularly good. The broccoli is unusually good and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese is legendary. It's hearty and gooey and very cheesy. Excellent. The potatoes are standard but very tasty and come with all the fixings. For dessert, the strawberry shortcake is my favorite. It's delicate and not cloyingly sweet.
