Amazing foods service our server was helpful and super kind. The food is amazingly good and fresh for such a cheap price in such a big bowl. The black beans noodles is my family's favorite. I 100% recommend this restaurant!!

Came here with my wife and son and we were really impressed with the taste and quality of the food. The menu was surprisingly small at less than 10 items. I've never seen this menu this small but when the food came out, I was presently amazed at the level of dedication to each dish. The service was impeccable, and this restaurant really had a Homie vibe to it.

My husband picked this spot today and it is so welcoming ! The owner was working and she was so sweet and gave off such a good vibe. We ordered the #7 galbi stew and #12 k-popcorn chicken. Both dishes were sooooo good! The galbi stew was so deep in flavor and super rich paired so well with the dipping sauce and a bowl of rice . ( I will be back just for this ) The k-popcorn plate was full off items, rice, fries, chicken, and a salad, all was very yummy. We also ordered a strawberry smoothie and it good, had the perfect amount of sweetness. Oh and the banchan was really good too !

Everything was DELICIOUS!! I wish i lived out here so I could visit more often. Everything had customizable spice levels which is amazing because we are sensitive. An amazing deal and value for everything. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and made with love and flavorful. We have a lot of amazing leftovers to feed us on the rest of our trip. Even though the food was extraordinary, Monse, our server was the highlight. She was so kind, friendly, helpful and attentive. You can tell she is passionate about her job. She gave us delicious soft serve icecream and gifts at the end of our meal and it was the cherry on top of our meal. Thank you Monse and Chew Me team!

    1. I love the presentation of the k-popcorn chicken! The Galbi Stew was delicious, and the meat easily fell off the bone! The fresh juice was definitely refreshing! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with lots of seatings! 3. The staff were really friendly and attentive! Note: There will be a Korean pho coming soon! A little mom and pop in the corner of the strip mall,, but when you enter you feel like you are transported to a lil mom and pop in South Korea. Authentic. Staff is very attentive. Worth it.

I found Chew Me from yelp and wanted to check it out since I was craving Soft Tofu Stew. It is located in a sketchy area in Garden Grove with tight parking as there are many things in the area. It is a fusion restaurant of Korean Asian and Mexican. Service was so friendly and kind. Price for the items wasn't too bad either. You can definitely taste the fusion portion. The rib soft tofu stew and the beef plate were pretty good.

This restaurant just opened recently around one month or so. The server/owner was really nice and took her time to explain the menu to us. They were working to a full opening, so some items were not available yet. On one side of the menu, ramen, chicken/pork cutlet, and pot sticker were available. On the other side, most items were available except yukgaejang, jjamppong, and 1-2 other items. Overall, the food's portion was big and the price was decent. This restaurant has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see them grow. I hope to try their tofu soups next time. K-Galbi 4/5 - The Galbi beef portion were generous. It was good quality and seasoned well. A little too salty for me, but you could eat it with rice to balance out the taste. The fries were definitely 5/5. They were perfectly crispy and airy. I try to not eat too much fries but couldn't stop eating these. Tacos 4/5 - The tacos were good. It is a fusion dish (Asian-Mexican) that came with meat, pickled carrots, onion, ranchero, and melted cheese. I think it'd be better without the pickled carrots since they made the tacos slightly sour. K-Popcorn Chicken 3/5 - The chicken had perfect texture. Soft in the inside, airy on the outside as if it was cooked with an air fryer. The taste, though, was different from what I expected for popcorn chicken. It was more like a soy sauce/orange chicken type of flavor. A lot of dishes came with fries which tasted great. If you don't want too many fries, you can replace them with steamed vegetables, too.

However, I'd encourage anyone who hasn't had the dish before to try it if you're a fan of a thick starchy broth and wonderfully chewy udon noodles. There are different meat options to go along with the soup - crab, pork, etc., or any combination of. There's also a "light" broth option which is less thick but equally delicious. Aside from the soup, the egg rolls here are deliciously crisp and crunchy as they're made with rice paper instead of the standard egg roll wrapper. The restaurant is a great example of a hole-in-the-wall that's 100% worth trying. Expect to wait 20-30mins to be seated during normal dining hours due to the low room capacity and popularity of the restaurant (the food comes out really fast though!).

It's super casual inside with a very local vibe, and the kind of place where you come strictly for the food rather than a fancy setup. They're super well-known for their Bánh Canh, and for good reason--the thick, chewy tapioca noodles in that rich, comforting broth are incredible and easily the main event here. But surprisingly, their Phở Đặc Biệt is also excellent. The broth is deep and flavorful, the meat cuts are generous, and it easily competes with a lot of the dedicated phở spots around Little Saigon. To wash it all down, their Vietnamese iced coffee is a must--super strong, rich, and gives you that perfect, intense sweet-and-bold kick. Just a heads-up that the line can get pretty long, and the wait takes a while since they seem a bit understaffed. But once you finally get seated, the food comes out piping hot. If you're in the area and don't mind a wait for authentic, heavy-hitting noodle bowls, Mai Phung is definitely worth dropping into.

Luckily, it happened to be happy hour specifically for the dish I ordered, so it was $13! The dish itself was good! The sauce was creamy (the eggs made it even creamier), and dipping my fresh baguette into it was soooo yummy! I added chili oil to it though for some spice. Delicious! The side of "salad" (a small plate of lettuce and tomato slices) was also nice to have. I ate it with a lot of the pickled garlic. Definitely a filling meal. The restaurant has a lot of seating, but it can get a bit warm. We were seated near the door but were feeling the heat throughout our meal! They have one of the best egg noodle soups around. The broth is perfectly balanced and well seasoned, the egg noodle is well made, with generous toppings. The dry version of the egg noodle is equally delicious. You can't go wrong with either selection. I'm always surprised at their affordable prices. These days you can't really get a good bowl of noodle soup for under $18-$20. Here you can get a solid bowl for just $8 during happy hour! Whaaat?! Crazy! That is such a great price that I almost feel like I'm robbing them. LOL. During this recent visit, I wasn't too hungry so I just got a small bowl of wonton soup for just $7. It comes with 5 pieces of wontons. The only disappointing thing was that it doesn't come with one of my favorite toppings - tóc mỡ. It would've cost $2 to add it. I really wish they did include it. I also got some grilled pork skewers. Though a little soft, they were pretty delicious - nicely seasoned, flavorful, and make a great appetizer. I also love that they're open late - till 11PM!
