My boyfriend loves Chick fil A so we are always getting this every few weeks - because who doesn't want a delicious chicken sandwich? We ended up going to this location the yesterday and must say the app is great so you can order early and get your food. We ended up getting the chick fil a sandwich which was delicious - my favorite is the chick fil a sauce which tastes so good with it. Am I ever going to learn? I really love Chic Fil A and hope they turn it around so I go periodically.. If you order from here, do yourself a favor and check your bag before you drive off. I know it's a hassle because they add a sticker to it, but definitely worth doing. It's not even the cost of ordering the large I'm annoyed about... it's when you order a large expecting to split it and you end up with barely a medium. This Chic-Fil-A has been in the Almaden for many years and is a great addition to the area. Inside is very spacious, enough seating and always has things like napkins, cutlery, sauces, lids, etc. Service-wise, it probably reaches 90% of your expectation of CFA. The workers are mostly high-school and college kids but they do a relatively good job at everything they do. It is a lot faster to go pick up your order inside, the drive-thru is a nightmare but that is less of the CFA fault and more of the plaza. However, my main issue is the quantity of food for the price. I was in a rush and ordered 2 5-piece grilled nuggets to-go through my app. I went through a long drive thru line and at the window they said it wasn't ready and had to sit in the fire-lane. The order came about 5 minutes so not a big deal. However, I used 800 points for 1 order and paid $5 for another to get small piece of chicken like in the picture. I didn't even get 5 pieces but these pieces shouldn't even be considered nuggets. CFA is a franchise and I think franchise ownership should really look at what they are giving some customers. If I had paid fully $11 for 2 orders, I would've definitely asked for a refund. read more

they seem to be going downhill. such a shame. I hadn't been in quite awhile, but had good experiences in the past. I went through the drive thru last night, mostly because there was hardly any line. Oddly, it took quite awhile for them to get through not many cars. My biggest issue was with the girl doing orders. The only thing stopping me and many of the people I know from coming here frequently ( and other fast food joints) are the prices. A BK chicken sandwich is more filling at the same price. It cost around $40 for two people to eat here. Many opt to dine at a restaurant for $20 per person rather than a fast food place. I frequent this place often because it is close to my house. Normally I am very happy with the service and food. Service is good despite the long drive thru lines and the food is always hot and full. That all changed today when I go home after placing my order through the drive thru, only to find my fries about 3/4 of the way full. This was quite disappointing considering my fries are always full to the top. I also asked for the fries to be crispy and was told that this location doesn't offer crispy fries. Why is that Josh? Based on how long the lines are there should be plenty of time to cook a fresh batch of fries for an extra 30 seconds. I can't say enough good things about this fast food joint!!! Long line but super fast service!!! Nice staff! As you enter the long line two workers are outside waiting to take your order. I felt like I had to order fast (I wasn't familiar with the menu) as I didn't want to hold up the line that already was moving in front of me. They took my order with ease and I moved up to get my items. Another staff member waited outside the order window (standing near the cars) as I approached. Chick fil a is unfortunately not what it used to be. We used to love coming here but the food is no longer worth it or as good as it was a few years ago. The service is still very friendly and quick though. I've heard they were suppose to change the chicken so not sure if that's what the issue is but, the chicken is thin and dry with little to no flavor. Fries are soggy and they don't even fill the cup they come in. Only thing worth while is the Mac and cheese and the lemonades. I came during a huge lunch rush around 12:45 pm on a Wednesday. There was so much going on, it was kind of overwhelming. The employees were working super hard. As I stood in line, I noticed a good amount of mess on the floor and some tables but this is understandable due to how busy it was. The wait wasn't horrible--maybe 10-15 minutes. The employee who took my order was a super young guy and was really sweet. I sat at the big open table towards the front, which was clean and had plenty of freebseats. My order came quickly and tasted great as I expected. I'd kind of rather go to the CFA off monterey since it's much less hectic, but it's nice to have this CFA in the area. read more

This is a chain so there's really no differences in food quality but this 5 star is for this location's amazing service and accessibility. I used to come here and dine-in all the time but due to the current situation, this is a pandemic specific review: 1) This place always gets my order right whereas other locations aren't as on top of things 2) Seems to be faster than other locations when I order through the app. Takes under 10 min for me to get a notification my order is ready 3) Staff is really well trained at this location 4) A lot of space to stand to wait for your order which makes it more COVID friendly 5) Lots of parking 6) Located right next to Whole Foods and Costco and is centrally located so great place to stop on the way to run errands The only con is their drive thru situation which wasn't planned the best imo as the line gets so unbelievably long that it wraps around and goes into the main street blocking traffic. read more

Review #191 - 2020 I'm probably the only person in my family that goes out of my way to find a Chick-fil-A, let alone just to get a salad. My younger sister has never had a salad from CFA before so when I told her, "let's grab a salad for lunch!", she was definitely not enthusiastic about the idea. However, she was willing to go along with my suggestion. I placed an online order at about 4:20 PM on Monday, October 26th, and by the time we arrived, the drive-thru line was somewhat starting to get long. We did manage to get our food within less than 10 minutes so that's actually not too bad of a wait. By the time we got our food and drove out of the parking lot, the line had grown about 30 cars long. Glad we showed up when we did! We both got my usual, the spicy grilled chicken market salad, and my sister was hooked after a few bites. Now, she knows why I keep going back for it! Who doesn't want to try to eat healthier as we age, but to find something that's healthy and tasty is a bonus!! The best part is, I never need to add any dressing because the salad is perfect as is--which saves me an extra 300+ calories on just one meal! read more

Oh my goodness; this is one of the longest drive through line of cars I have ever seen for a fast food chain restaurant during lunch hour. The only other place that comes close to this place for drive-thru business is In&Out Burger. Never fear; Chick filet staff is here....outside they have at least 3 employees guiding traffic and 2 more taking orders in addition to the order-taker via the machine ! There are at least three employees constantly taking orders just for the drive-thru! ...and these outside employees make a world of a difference. Hence, the drive through line moves amazingly fast. We had 24 cars in front of us, and we got to order our food in 20mins! There was a long line of people waiting outside the front doors to order as well. I did not observe how fast that line was moving. When we go to the window to pick up our food; we double checked our order (for six people) and everything was perfectly bagged up. I peered through the drive through window and it looked like they had a dozen employees inside the store pumping all the customers in and out of their property with great food and great service! The food here is consistent like all the other locations. Great chicken sandwiches; great chicken nuggets; great waffle fries, and their free specialty sauces like Chic Filet sauce and Polynesian sauces always go well with their chicken. Came here for lunch today and I know people like to trash fast food places on yelp, but I always try to think in this context: Was the food tasty or good value? Would I miss it if it were gone? In the context of chick fil a, the value is good, and if it closed down because everybody was trashing on it and giving it low reviews they'd probably be complaining about why it closed the next time they want a chicken sandwich. No you won't be catered to like a 5-star restaurant (although they do say "my pleasure" when being thanked!), and the food won't move you to tears, but for a quick lunch stop, there's really nothing else quite like it at these price points. This location is going downhill in terms of quality and fast. The fries packages are not filled, the chicken on the sandwiches seem smaller and lettuce is now just a single leaf. The manager Josh should focus on the quality and quantity of the food instead of sending people Door Dash free delivery coupons. Door Dash is useless and because of using Door Dash and then jacking up the prices of items we stopped ordering delivery. I'm so glad that the South Bay has a Chick-fil-A. It's located in the same plaza as Whole Foods. The parking lot can be a bit congested during lunch and dinner. I usually just park on the Whole Foods side and walk over. W/ COVID-19, I order through the app for pick-up. It's pretty convenient. Once you're there, click "I'm here" in the app and check in with the people at the front. They'll go and check for your order and bring it out. The wait isn't that bad, which is why I'm surprised drive-thru is always so insane! I alternate between the regular chicken sandwich and spicy chicken sandwich. My go to sauce: Polynesian (think sweet & sour) and chick-fil-a. Also, remember to order fries! read more

My meal was del-ic-iousss today. First time stopping by here since shelter-in and wanted to get a spicy chicken sandwich with some waffle fries! Ordered from the app which is always quick and easy since u pay in advance and don't have to order there. Got there early enough so went to drive thru with not too many cars. Ellie was my cashier and she was super sweet and gave me extra sauces which was nice! All my food was super fresh and not too salty and was super glad i stopped by.
