It was hard to find due to it just being a small stand in a parking lot. So I ended up parking and walking up to it "you can drive you're car" really tight though. I had the Cuban and two tacos. Chilitos has moved into the beer garden on Main St. This place is great!!!! The Latin burger combines traditional American fare with a secret cilantro sauce and Latin spices. I was asked to check this place out for my best friends who live in Waxahachie & wanted my opinion to help them decide on catering for an upcoming wedding. I'm glad they tasked me with this! Not sure how they found this place, since I actually live here, but it's awesome. Al & Sarah are very nice & were very accommodating. Here's my honest opinion: Beans: Not authentic refried like my favorite ones from Mexican Manhattan, but they're delicious. They have a grilled, almost smoky type flavor that makes them taste completely different than regular beans. Rice: Amazing. Similar to Chipotle cilantro lime rice, not regular Mexican rice. This in itself set it apart from my perspective since I don't eat Mexican Rice. Street Tacos: Mui Delicioso. I don't eat regular tacos so I'm a good judge of street tacos. First....Pork is my absolute favorite. Second.... Chicken has a really great grilled flavor & Last....steak is very tasty. Tamales: I've never had cream cheese tamales, but they're wonderful. Hard to tell the difference in the 2 flavors, but they're both great. For catering events, these are a perfect alternative. Both pork flavors are similiar & amazing. Again... pork is my favorite! Kiki sauce: Very flavorful & I could probably drink it. The spicy has just the right amount of heat. I'm sure the other menu items are equally as wonderful. I have had tamales from them in Boerne, and they were large, and very flavorful. I stopped by this location and was VERY unimpressed! The tamales were small, and not very good. They had been refrigerated. I will no longer recommend them, and will never go back. They also seem to have missed the understanding of express. Their bowl with Peruvian pork & spicy sauce (medium spice) tastes much better than any bowl you could get at chipotle, and their Street Tacos with rice/beans mix is also a great. The Huebner/Medical Center location is drive-thru and wait time is not much, making this a much healthier and tastier option than any fast food. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Upon first glance, Chilito's didn't look like much, but in this case, looks were deceiving. Here is the breakdown: Steak quesadilla - loads of white cheese and perfectly spiced steak, nestled between two tortillas. Tortillas were nice and crispy. Cheese literally oozed out between bites. While the steak had a great flavor, it was a tad bit tough. However, the flavor was enough to forgive that. Roasted Pork Taco - this taco was fantastic. Slow cooked fork tender, roasted pork, cilantro, onion and a green sauce that had just the right amount of heat. Went there to try their chicken cream cheese tamales as a friend had recommended them. The person who took my order was friendly and also told me they had jalapeño and cream cheese tamales so I decided to ask if I could do half and half in one dozens to try them. I was told they usually didn't do that but would make an exception, so I was like ok thanks. I got home and saw they had given me all jalapeño and cream cheese which was fine whatever, i wasn't going to drive back, but was disappointed/annoyed they didn't just tell me they didn't want to give me half and half so I could have just gotten all chicken as they don't do half dozen. Also they were warm and not hot so that was a let down too. For the price, these tamales are pretty small/thin and not worth it really. Overall I will not order their tamales again but I'll give them another chance and try something different. Gave them 2 stars because they were fast. read more

Hubby has been hungry for a Cuban sandwich for awhile, he had a doctor appt on Huebner, so perfect opportunity to hit this restaurant drive through. It's fun, look at the menu, drive up and order and pay, he a fixed a tag to side of car and directs you to next line to wait then a nice young man brings your order. The Cuban was alittle different then what we've had at our fav in Austin but still very good and love the cracklings that came with it. I had the 5 meat taco and got both with the spicy (and it is spicy) sauce. Yumm. Looking forward to next visit and some tamales. read more

I'm going to first start off with their Tamales, they were amazing. I never would have expected the combinations to work they way they did but they worked and worked spectacularly. Next the street tacos w/ steak, they were very good certainly up there with the better street tacos in the city that I've tried. Their spicy sauce was also extremely delicious I definitely need to get a bottle of that. And the finale was the burrito, this thing is a monster. The chef told me this burrito weighs in at a pound and a half, that's a lot of food lol, but it was very delicious and I may or may not have eaten all of it. It's not your normal burrito, this one includes fries inside as well as beans, rice, and meat, and is grilled to an almost crispy shell. It was very tasty and I would definitely order it again. The customer service was also top notch. All in all deceiving looking drive thru produced some extremely tasty food which I highly recommend checking out if you haven't already. read more

Saw this place featured on SA Live today, and was intrigued by the green sauce. Gave them a call to see if they had any available for purchase today. Spoke with a super nice guy named David who checked inventory and offered to set aside 2 of the green sauces so that I could pick them up. Since the sauce is made fresh every day, they sell out quick. Drove from the South Side of SA (and I mean Palo Alto south) all the way to Boerne for this sauce. Once I got there, was assisted by a lovely young woman named Madison, who told me I got the last of that sauce. I ended up buying a dozen of the cream cheese/chicken tamales and a dozen of the cream cheese/jalapeno tamales as well. Got home and tried all three, and OMG....the sauce is Serrano- based, so it doesn't take much, but it is SO DAMN DELICIOUS! And the tamales...out of this world, and I'm not EVEN exaggerating. I live in the South Side so I always order my tamales from B&B, and have always been a happy camper, and will continue to order the traditional pork and pork/jalapeno tamales from them. But I have to admit that I kinda fell head over heels in love with Chilitos sour cream and chicken/jalapeno tamales and that food-gasmic green sauce. I have been going to Chilito's Express since they were at The Pavilion Food Park on Johns road. The food is always made to order and is in your hand in no time at all. The employees and the owner Al are very friendly and make sure that you are taken care of. Unlike other places around Boerne, here you will get a generous portion for a reasonable price. They do not skimp at all. I have tried quite a few things on their menu and have not had anything I did not like. Their burgers are huge and their tacos are stuffed. I like the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Burger, the pork street tacos, and the pork "Worst Tacos". I would recommend ordering one of their lunch specials because you can try something new at a discounted price and it includes a drink.
