Need a break after your 90 minute wait before/after dim sum at Seafood Cove II (upstairs)? Ready for drinks after shopping at Asian Garden Mall (across the street)? Use a boost after A Dong supermarket shopping (a few doors down)? Head straight to Chill! Absolutely the best Einspanner Matcha in town. The sweet cream on top is so good, you will not want to mix it (so you get a taste with every sip). I was lucky to catch the owner/matcha expert Trang in the shop on my visit this weekend; she's amazing! Teeny shop with some comfy sofa seating if you can grab it. Parking in this plaza is a challenge, but don't give up. It's so big, and so much is going on, there are as many people leaving as coming. Don't sleep on this place -- absolutely the friendliest and tastiest boba shop in the OC.

Was in the area pretty late on a Friday night and wanted a matcha but everywhere else was basically closed except for this spot. Parking wasn't bad and I was quite literally the only person in the place haha. But the guy who took my order was super chill and efficient and I was in and out of there in maybe 3 minutes. The menu looked super good but I was basic and got a double matcha. All drinks are made with oat milk (for my fellow lactose intolerant peeps). The drinks are a great size for the price imo and it was high quality and very tasty. I'm super impressed!!!

Vibes were positive but the drink itself was way too sweet. I asked for less sweet but it was still really sweet. The matcha itself lacked depth but that might be cause it was overpowered by the sugar. In my opinion, this place is more vibes than quality. Having said that, I'd still be down to try again...it's an okay spot to chill at.

Chill Coffee is such a welcome addition to the area, especially because it's one of the few boba spots open early. Sometimes you want something other than coffee in the morning, and this place absolutely delivers. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting with comfortable seating, great music, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Everything feels thoughtfully curated without being overdone. I ordered the Lychee Oolong Tea, and it was incredibly refreshing. The tea flavor came through beautifully, and it wasn't overloaded with sweetness like so many other boba drinks. I also tried the Pandan Matcha, which was perfectly balanced. The earthy matcha and subtle pandan complemented each other so well, and again, it wasn't overly sweet. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and excellent service. I'll definitely be back and am so happy to have an early-opening boba spot in the neighborhood.

Happened to talk by and saw that they had one of my favorite flavored coffee: pandan coffee. And it meant my expectation, creamy, rich, and strong with the delicious pandan taste.

Located across from the Asian Garden Mall, with tons of coffee and tea shops in every corner, chill coffee stood out to me since they have a variety of matcha and coffee. To my surprise, coffee was strong, smooth, and rich. Matcha was perfectly balanced with milk and matcha ratio. I also loved that it came in a 24 oz cup for about $7. They also have a an option to add as much espresso free of charge. I love strong coffee, so I don't know about adding an additional shot. Probably if anyone wants to stay awake all day and night. The staff that took my order is very friendly and helpful. He knows the menu very well, and can adjust to your preferences.

Tried the kumquat honey lemon tea from Chill Coffee and it was actually really refreshing. Got it less sweet, which was definitely the move -- still has a nice natural sweetness from the honey without being overpowering. Flavor-wise, it's bright and citrusy with a slight bitterness from the kumquat, balanced out well by the honey. Doesn't taste artificial or syrupy like some places. The passion fruit puree with seeds at the bottom adds a tangy punch and a little crunch, which makes the drink more interesting texture-wise. Portion size is solid and feels worth it for the price. Overall a good option if you want something light and refreshing instead of a heavy milk tea. Drink came fast, friendly staff. I'd get it again, especially on a hot day.

Their coffee is really strong and flavorful. I ordered the vanilla cold cream coffee and my wife tried the salty cream coffee. So so good. My wife couldn't finish it because it was so strong. I ordered her another drink of their milk tea and she really enjoyed it. She also likes the consistency of the boba. The matcha is also really good. I tried the strawberry matcha. You can taste they use the premium matcha. So good. So yes, my wife and I had 4 drinks at our first try with them and it was worth it. Super fast and prices are very affordable. It's more of a grab and go kind of place. The owner (I think she's the owner) was very kind and explained all the drinks for us. We did the Tiger Mochi Boba (it's a caffeine free milk tea) super yummy if you like it sweet. My daughter did the Marble Drip because she wanted more of a vanilla coffee vibes and it wasn't overly sweet also yummy. The strawberry tea is your basic tea with fresh strawberries in it. read more

I checked this place out after seeing it recommended on my social media feed and was happily surprised! Parking can become crowded but I came later where spots were more available. I ordered the Pandan Matcha and was surprised. It was perfectly sweet, mixed well, and the Pandan was a great addition to the matcha. I got some studying done, and although the cafe is small there were two tables available. The wifi was fast, the place was clean and prices were affordable. Went during the grand opening for their discounted drinks. Egg coffee is strong and does not have the metallic cherry flavor that some Vietnamese cafes have. 4/5 Their matcha actually tastes like matcha but nothing too special about it. Double matcha is creamier and better than their regular matcha latte. The pandan matcha was really good, 5/5. It reminds me of the Vietnamese pandan mung bean drink from the old school bakeries. Service is great and they were accommodating with sugar and ice adjustments. The cafe is small with limited seating, so it's not a great place to work. If a new café opens in Orange County, chances are I've already been there, probably on opening day, sampling my way through the menu like it's my civic duty. My palate leans toward light and creamy, so take my opinions with a dash of milk and a shot of subjectivity. Now, onto the review: I always start new coffee spots at **three stars** because, let's be real, everyone deserves a little grace period while they figure out their rhythm. **Customer Service:** Super friendly staff and great with recommendations and adjustments. **Drinks:** I ordered three (don't judge), and the standout was the *Egg Cream Coffee*. It tasted like ice cream, quite possibly the best egg coffee in Orange County. I asked for less sweet, but fair warning: their coffee is *strong*. My heart was practically hosting a rave by the time I left. Again, I like my coffee light, so it wouldn't be a place I frequent. **Vibe Check:** The décor? Chic and photogenic. The ambiance? Perfect for catching up with friends, not so much for catching up on work. **Final Verdict:** I'll be back in a few months once they've settled in. read more

I've only been here once but my first impression of Chill Coffee was that the workers seem to really care about their customer service and drink quality. I believe it's because they're family owned, correct me if I'm wrong. When it comes to the drinks, they're a great size (24 oz) for the price you pay. Every drink here averages about $7 which is the norm for a 16 oz cup anywhere else. If I had to choose between the two I got, I definitely preferred the double matcha more just because it was stronger and less reliant on a "fatty" cream top like the salted cream top matcha had. However if you're someone who prefers dessert-like drinks, I'd definitely recommend that one. I think the main downside to this shop is that it is in such a cramped and busy part of bolsa street so you might be circling the area for a bit before finding parking. Overall, I would come back with friends to try other drinks since their menu is huge. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Tracy N.

Tracy’s journey began in Saigon, Vietnam, where she grew up with a love for crafting drinks for friends and family. From soda pops and lemonades to coffee and tea, her passion for beverages was evident from a young age. After moving to the United States, Tracy spent most of her life in the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon. In 2019, she opened her first boba shop—and within just a few years, launched a second location, building a loyal following and gaining over five years of hands-on experience in creating delicious boba tea drinks. In 2025, Tracy made the move to sunny California, inspired to bring her beverage-making talents to Orange County. Very cute coffee shop in the heart of Little Saigon Bolsa. They are located right underneath Seafood Cove, across the street from Asian Garden Mall. I've tried many of their coffee drinks and matcha series. My favorite are the egg cream brûlée coffee (less sweet) and matcha with vanilla cold foam (less sweet). Their coffee latte is super good and on par some of the best coffee shops in the area. You can pick Vietnamese coffee or American latte for the coffee base. The Salty Cheese Boba is really good. The sweetness and the saltyness does not clash at all. Served the food really fast even though there was only one person that's working. Coffee has a nice bitter taste that a lot of other places fail to do. Service was on point and the owner was very nice and offered a free shot of espresso if I wanted, which I took. Combined with good coffee and service the place has a nice chill vibe that's welcoming. read more

They have so many coffee and matcha options. We tried the blueberry matcha, banana matcha and the pandan matcha and all were super good and tasted like ceremonial grade. There are lots of place to sit even with the small area provided and the employees were nice. read more
