As for the Banana Matcha, I normally don't gravitate toward banana drinks, but SIP completely changed my mind. They use what tastes like a banana pudding instead of artificial banana flavoring, and it blends so smoothly with the matcha that every sip feels balanced and indulgent. The matcha was earthy, umami, and so well balanced, and the hint of Earl Grey in the foam complemented it perfectly without overpowering the matcha. Such a good combination! I don't know if it's added to the matcha cream on top, but it also had some saltiness that paired perfectly with the seaweed-y umami notes of the matcha. I also like that the matchas come with oat milk by default. The nuttiness of the milk suits matcha perfectly. Overall a great drink! My sister got the matcha einspanner and also says it was good. Line and wait went quickly. I'd definitely go again!

Parking was easy to find. It's a shared parking lot with other businesses. Dex Coffee was easy to find and lots of parking available. Very cute coffee shop in the heart of Little Saigon Bolsa. They are located right underneath Seafood Cove, across the street from Asian Garden Mall. I've tried many of their coffee drinks and matcha series. My favorite are the egg cream brûlée coffee (less sweet) and matcha with vanilla cold foam (less sweet). Their coffee latte is super good and on par some of the best coffee shops in the area. You can pick Vietnamese coffee or American latte for the coffee base. You can ask them for extra coffee shots with no additional charge! Their matcha drinks are amazingly good. I drank 4 cups in the last 7 days. We tried their Hazelnut Phin Coffee which was strong and full bodied flavor- one of my favorite. I also liked their peanut butter espresso (not Phin, so a little weaker) but very good. We also tried their Chocolate croissant which was extremely flaky (and embarrassing how much of a mess we made) but delicious. Their Bahn Mi Que (southern Viet sandwich) which comes in a pack of 2 small ones, which was well flavored and delicious. Will be back when in the area. They also have water and tea for free if sitting down! WiFi and clean bathrooms- a good place to study or hang out.

Ordering was quick but they were clearly making drinks out of order because several people who ordered the same drink (pandan espresso) got theirs before me, despite ordering after me. Also, after checking on the status of my drinks with the person calling out names/buzzing the buzzers, he just went to the back and... never came back? And after asking again after another 5-10 minutes, they tried to tell me if I wanted my drink now, I'd have to accept one without my sweetness adjustment? They also gave me cups with different people's order tickets on them (but the drinks themselves were right), so I'm fairly certain they lost my drink ticket and have passed the problem onto other people now. Overall, not a good experience and wouldn't come back; the pandan espresso was alright but Airoma's is still better.

He's even invited us to sample different add-ons, so we can find the perfect combo before committing. My go-to is the Honeydew Smoothie with Egg Pudding. It's so good that my friend finishes his cup before we even make it out of the store! There's something for everyone, like coffee, matcha, fruity drinks, smoothies, teas, and more! The interior looks pretty cute and has ample seating. There are also claw machines, great for entertaining the kiddos. If you've been meaning to try Ambrosia Brew, take this as your sign :) gogogo

Matcha Night Gone WRONG…read more.. After a delicious pho run, hubby and I were craving something sweet and wanted to try somewhere new. Hubby wasn't feeling the drive to Joe's, so naturally I opened Yelp and started hunting. We stumbled upon this spot located in a pretty busy plaza with restaurants, karaoke, pool tables, and bars, so there's definitely plenty happening around here for a fun night out. Unfortunately... the dessert was where the fun ended. Matcha Shaved Ice + Matcha/Hojicha Soft Serve -- $13.50 | 2/10 I was really looking forward to this one, but unfortunately it was a major miss for me. First, they were already out of red beans at 8pm, so I had to substitute them with waffle crumbs. Not a huge deal, but definitely not what I originally wanted. The bigger issue was the shaved ice itself. A good shaved ice should have that soft, fluffy, almost snow-like texture where the flavor is incorporated throughout the ice rather than feeling like you're just eating a pile of crunchy ice with syrup poured over the top. The best ones almost melt in your mouth and create that creamy, refreshing texture when paired with condensed milk, toppings, or soft serve. This one? Not that. The ice was extremely icy and hard, and it honestly tasted like they just poured matcha-flavored water/syrup over a mountain of ice. The matcha flavor didn't really soak into the shaved ice the way I expected, so instead of getting that smooth matcha flavor throughout every bite, I was getting... ice. The soft serve was probably the "better" part, but even with the matcha and hojicha soft serve mixed in, it couldn't save the shaved ice for me. And the mochi balls? SO squishy. I normally LOVE mochi, but these were not doing it for me tonight. It was fat & it just felt like a fat wet dough-ball. The biggest problem? We threw away more than 3/4 of it. And if you know me, you know I usually have a very hard time wasting dessert, or any food in general. I honestly haven't had a dessert this disappointing in quite some time. Would I come back? Nope. Would I recommend it? Unfortunately, no. Was the plaza fun? Absolutely! Maybe we just caught them on an off night, but based on this experience, I'll be sticking to my other shaved ice spots. Happy Desserts... but tonight, barely.

There was only one person working, but he was very nice and service was still good. We ordered the Egg Coffee at two different sweetness levels, 75% and 50%. The coffee itself is very strong, which I really enjoyed. The 75% sweetness was still a little too sweet for me, while the 50% let the bold coffee flavor come through much more. I'd personally order it at 50% next time. The cream was also really good, and overall the coffee tasted high quality and flavorful. If you're looking for a strong Vietnamese coffee, this is definitely a solid spot to try. There's plenty of parking available in the plaza, although the surrounding streets can get pretty busy. I'd come back and order the Egg Coffee again at a lower sweetness level.

I got the Matcha Latte and it was delicious. The matcha is strong which I love because you can actually taste the matcha! The staff were very friendly as well!
