We decided to get a box of 4 choux (lemon, hazelnut, chocolate and seasonal-think it was called strawberry orange?). These choux are bite size. Choux review (4/5): The choux pastry itself was primary a vehicle for the cream fillings and was not crispy and didn't have any flavor at all. It might be because we didn't eat them right away and they had been at room temperature for about 4 hours. The fillings were a generous amount within the petite choux so that you could really taste the specific filling and have the flavors linger on your palate. Our favorites were lemon (zingy and tart lemon) and chocolate (rich and decadent). The seasonal choux (strawberry orange?) was our least favorite--tasted like rose water and rose water is not my thing. Hazelnut was good. read more

I'm a sucker for a sweet treat and this place really hit the spot for me. I've seen this place on my friend's Instagram stories recently and have been wanting to try them out for a while. I hadn't anticipated on the pastries being so small as each one was literally bite size but so cute. We opted for the set of 4: vanilla, matcha, earl grey, and salted caramel. I will say I thought the pricing was a little higher than what it should have been but definitely worth a try if you're in the area. I unfortunately will not be back for that reason alone. I thought the cream in each pastry was light and not too sweet which is always nice. It tasted very fresh! The person helping us was very nice and patient as we took a while to choose our flavors. Instead I had (2) while I was walking home. They were amazing. - The chocolate puff's chocolate cream reminds me of authentic French pudding (zero bitterness, all rich chocolate flavor) - Vanilla puff may as well have been named "Crème Brûlée puff", its vanilla custard is amazing. Both pastries had a small piece of chocolate on top which made a typical "fresh chocolate" cracking sound. Very cool little shop on Fillmore, with a nice mix of Choux bites. Parking is very tight just don't double park on Fillmore, and you should be alright. As for the shop it's cute just order at the door, fyi you can see the Choux pastries through the window glass. As for my box it contained a large chocolate that was rich but not overly heavy, 4 of the Financiers that were some what substantial, and 2 light Choux. He LOVED the pesto bun so much he couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards. I thought the cheese puff was pretty yummy (although a tiny bit dry) and the cream puffs were so good as well!! I liked the vanilla one more than the hazelnut just because the cream was lighter and fluffier but both were honestly amazing. We haven't tried the brioches yet, but we're very excited to. Pretty good french desserts! If you're looking for a sweet dessert thats not too heavy, this is it! We got to try their canele, choquettes and choux. Do not be fooled, the dark color on the canele is not chocolate. I should've asked but didn't so was a little disappointed it was no chocolate. The choquettes was interesting, its like an empty cream puff so not sure who this is for but like the best part is the cream! So to no surprise, the best thing there was the cream puffs.
