mr o'malley's benedict w/ home fries, breakfast crepe w/ hash browns, coffee, orange juice
    Jessica H.

Nice classic diner vibes. Good benedict, crepes ok. The Mr O'Malley's benedict with home fries was pretty solid. The eggs were cooked perfectly with a runny yolk, and the english muffin had a nice bouncy texture. The home fries were a bit salty, but tasty. Very crispy potatoes. Good flavor for the corned beef hash. The breakfast crepe with hash browns was alright. There was not much egg inside, mostly bacon and cheese. The texture was so-so (if there really was a decent amount of egg, you couldn't taste it). The hash browns however were amazing. Crispy and potato-y, it was the star on the plate. The coffee was fine with free refills. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed, mmm.

Huge portions. Delicious food. Vast menu selection. Excellent and friendly staff. What isn't there to like about Christie's? They have fresh squeezed juices, too. And a great kids menu. This has now become our family go to brunch spot when we want something satisfying and fast. My absolute favorite is their breakfast burrito! The tortilla is soft and chewy. It's packed with chorizo, avocado, and cheese. Comes with home fries or hash brown. Even their coffee is good with unlimited refill. We love Christie's!!! Always an A+ experience.

Just stopped in for the first time and was so thorough impressed with the selection and quality of our meals. We were kindly greeted and seated in the spacious dining area (so much bigger than it appears from the outside). The restaurant was busy full of locals and everyone was chowing down on something delicious. Overwhelmed with the awesome menu offerings because everything looked so yummy! I opted to try to country fried steak and the hubby had their breakfast burrito. Everything came out piping hot and so very fresh. The portions are very generous as you'll see in the photo below. My husband said the bacon was perfectly cooked and blended nicely with the way the burrito was put together. We look forward to coming back very soon!

Wanted a breakfast, and it's nice to eat outside. Weather here is always good. Only thing is they forget to serve me water. That's totally fine tho. People forget.

Nice local restaurant that serves the breakfast classics and more. Service is the best and this is one of the best places in the area.

TLDR: Big portions and good tasting food! If you're in the area, I would put this on a list of places to try out. Food: Monterey Omelet The Monterey Omelet took me by surprise - it was a hit for me! Absolutely loved the hollandaise sauce that is poured atop the omelet. I enjoy artichoke, but the chunks were a bit big, so it was a tad cold when I bit into them. Hashbrowns were crispy for the most part - some parts were still a little moist. This dish also came with a side of bread, but I was so full from everything else that I didn't even finish this! Overall, a good cheesy/creamy dish that I'd recommend to anyone. Ambiance: A boisterous environment - bustling and lively! It made for a great brunch vibe, but if you're looking for something quieter then I'd suggest outdoor seating. From the decor to the dishware, this place is as old-school American as it gets (in a good way!) Service: Super attentive and always kept my coffee filled to the brim! Absolutely great service and felt very taken care of. Parking: Come waaaay early to find parking! It's Downtown Burlingame, so everyone's trying to park here.

My second visit here on a Saturday morning with a group of 5 were seated outside. I got the vegetarian scramble and it had all the veggies and fresh avocado. The portions are always good here. Your typical American breakfast. The service is always great, checked on after getting dishes and water/coffee always refilled multiple times. More seating indoors Cash/card accepted

Had to get a car service around the corner so ended up here for an early breakfast which was very pleasant, but let's get to the skinny: 1. Parking can be challenging as it's a very tight part of the little downtown. 2. They have a cute little counter or a nice array of tables to sit at. 3. Lots of natural light from the street. 4. The staff are HAPPY and worked well together from front of house to the dishwasher. 5. The menu has a great selection but not so much you get lost in it. 6. If you have time, you're walkable to a bunch of fun little shops, and the library which is beautiful! I ended up coming back for a BLT with onion rings (not pictured) which was generous with big thick bacon pieces and more than enough rings to soothe the greasy craving. Can't wait to go back!

You know how they say never go to Costco hungry? Applies to Christie's! I came here STARVING and ordered an "American Scramble." I was so hungry that I scarfed down the entire scramble before I realized I never took a picture of it. Now attached is a photo of the interiors. Nevertheless, everyone was very kind and the place looks like an old school diner. I would definitely return to try other things and perhaps remember to take a picture next time.

+ traditional diner experience + Food was pretty good + good location, walk to downtown in a minute, and next to Caltrain + Staff seemed pretty nice - very overpriced. This skewed my entire experience negatively. Breakfast burrito $20, basic Burger $17, larger omelette $22. If prices were lower I'd I've it 4/5

This was a great locally owned breakfast spot. I has brunch with some friends and it we got there at just the right time. This place it's great when you're out with friends or just solo. I really enjoyed how attentive the service was and the staff made me really feel at home. I had the taste for blueberry pancakes however I didn't want to order a full stack I really enjoyed that the restaurant was able to accommodate me and brought me one pancake and gave me one extra on the side. My friends enjoyed their bacon cheeseburger and their other breakfast items can't be missed. I definitely enjoyed the hot coffee and they always made sure my cup was full. I definitely have to come back and try more items on the menu.

What a lovely, homely spot for an honest and scrumptious breakfast or brunch. Frida and the rest of the staff at Christie's are ever so warm, welcoming and outright wonderful. We can't wait to be back!

Christie's has been on my list for a while. So glad we finally made it. It's a small diner, but luckily we didn't have to wait long for a table. Classic breakfast menu. Their portions were big. We ordered the krab cake benedict special, Denver omelet, and chicken fried steak. Between hash browns and home fries, one of the better home fries we've had.

Perfect sign..had to take a pic

Great for a traditional American comfort breakfast. If you love sitting at the counter and watch…read morethe chefs cook in front of you, you'll love this place. At my seat (depicted) you get live behind the scenes of a kitchen. Me personally, I enjoy watching my food being cooked in front of me, so I enjoyed it. I originally went because of looking at the prices on an image on yelp. It was $16 for sausage, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. That's a great deal! But, once I got there inflation kicked it up to $18. Not the biggest difference to deter, but just letting everyone know the real price. I got pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon (depicted). The eggs were good, pancakes were very good, hash browns were okay, and the reason for 4 star instead of a 5.... the bacon. The bacon wasn't crispy and cooked to order. It was chewy and I guess they cook it before and then heat it up on the griddle after. It is super noticeable from the taste, but especially from the texture. I would recommend this place to anyone, but just be aware with the vital advice I wrote.

My pork chop dinner included soup or salad, slice of toasted and buttered sourdough, potatoes or rice, vegetables and choice of dessert. All for just under $30 before tip. The meal was as expected for a '60s coffee shop. Salt is the dominant seasoning. The turkey and rice soup was a smart way to use leftover ingredients. The boiled red potatoes were good. The two thin pork chops were supposedly marinated, but I couldn't tell from tasting them. They were over cooked--dry, tough and needed some herbs. DH had the cheeseburger with potato salad and praised the meal. He also devoured my dessert--ice cream with chocolate sauce. Service was friendly and efficient, making me want to return. Next time I'll have something like a sandwich or burger.

Matzo ball soup was a solid 4/5. The chocolate cake was dry and tasted stale, as if it came from a fridge that needed a new air filter in it. Too old, I'm sure. The macaroon was downright awful with that same stale, fridge taste but also was so HARD and this is not a cookie that should be like a hockey puck. Rugulah was 3/5.
