Judith (manager) was amazing tonight with accommodating my young teen with celiac. She went out of her way to remake food so that it was safe. The waitress was nice but did not get the manager for me when I told her our situation. I did have to ask the hostess to get her for me. The staff may need more training on contacting a manager when told they have celiac patrons. But it was the best decision. My daughter had nachos and queso that was made gluten free so that she could eat with out getting very sick. I am so grateful. We had stopped coming in to eat here because service had been so poor. Realized the ToGo staff most often got the orders right and on time. This was before my child was diagnosed with celiac. This was our first time back inside the restaurant in at least a year. When we walked in the hostess immediately tried to sit us on the patio or the bar, even though the restaurant was empty. I LOVE this Chuy's!! The managers are awesome, the staff is the best (especially Ruben & Alex!) and the food is so much fresher than the other Chuy's locations I've frequented. They have delicious fajitas, incredible baja seafood tacos and really great Trés Lechés (ohh, and did I mention 'creamy jalapeño'?) I visited Chuy's with my family on the evening of September 28, and was a bit disappointed. It doesn't seem to have recovered from the Covid pandemic as well as other restaurants. The menu remains quite limited, as several favorites are missing. Even small details that we took for granted prior to the shutdown, such as substituting Charro beans for refried beans, wasn't possible. The quality of the food was adequate, but not good enough that I'll be going back anytime soon. I will note that the service was good. read more

Decided to go to this Chuys location for my birthday dinner last night. I have been there before and it has been good. Not last night. We had to wait for a while to be seated even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Ordered a margarita but was very disappointed and had to send it back. It tasted like it came from an old can! Terrible! It took a long time to get our food. When it finally came the enchiladas were stuck to plate and dry like they sat for a long time. They sat everyone that came in after us in same side of the restaurant, crowding everyone for their convenience. I don't think I will be back. read more

My husband and I have been anxiously waiting for the opening of this location, especially since I have never visited a Chuy's before. I went in with an open mind considering yesterday was their first day open for business. I have to say, overall I was not disappointed! When we first arrived, the hostess was not very pleasant. She seemed almost bothered we were coming in at 2pm and just overall gave a very annoyed vibe, which stinks especially since she is the first person to greet you when you walk into the restaurant. As soon as we were seated and our server greeted us, I forgot all about the hostess because our server (Alexis) was so incredibly nice! She was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. We ordered the queso (which was amazing) as well as fajita tacos and make your own enchiladas. Needless to say I will definitely be back and secretly hope Alexis is our server each time! OH and if you've never tried the white sauce....you're truly missing out! It's amazing!
