The food here is pretty good. I had the carnitas tacos. You can get them American style or Mexican style. I chose Mexican, which is meat, onions, and cilantro. I love this. Our server spoke very little English. We asked about bell pepper in the chicken. We explained that my wife is terribly allergic. She said no. When her meal came out, we immediately saw bell pepper. The man who brought the food was terribly apologetic and told her he would get her a new plate right away with ground beef. She was good with that. Or drinks stayed empty most of the time, and we had to run the server down to get the bill. All in all, the food was great but the service was bad.

I ordered from Cinco de Mayo on DoorDash. They're only about a mile out for me so it was super fast and the food was hot. I'm not gonna lie first time that I had birria tacos, where the meat was very fatty. I've never ordered from them before it was not that flavorful. They did give complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is the watery style versus the chunky style, but I prefer and they didn't give any spicy salsa which sometimes comes with birria tacos. The consume was more oil than soup. Overall not satisfied.

This is a nice place to eat in. They have many booths and a decent bar area. The food portions are massive, especially the burritos. Mine weighed like 2 lbs. it's also worth mention that they cook their protein. To order, so none of the meats are dried out from sitting around. It's a solid choice for lunch or dinner before or after a game.

A group of us after playing kickball have been going to this restaurant in DTJ for quite a few months now they are always quick with the chips and salsa and their service is fast.Their two for one house. Margaritas are always refreshing. The restaurant has unique decor and is always inviting.

On a sweltering summer day, we ducked into Cinco De Mayo for an early dinner. First thing we noticed was the absolutely wonderful air conditioning! The only thing better than the air conditioning was the food. We got the fish tacos (grouper and mahi-mahi, flaky, tender and flavorful with crisp, fresh fillings (and lots of jalapeños) and a huge plate of chile rellenos with shredded chicken and a heaping mound of delicious rice and beans. Smooth and satisfying, so good! We also got a side of grilled veggies to make ourselves feel better, and they were delicious! Cinco de Mayo serves up delicious, authentic Mexican fare in a cool environment out of the heat of a Jacksonville summer. Definitely give it a try!

There's a fish market next door and that means two things: 1) the smell of fish in the air is gonna…read morebe potent and 2) the seafood is gonna be so fresh. Honestly the first point isn't too bad because the closer you get to the restaurant, the more it smells like cooked seafood which smelled so so good. But the second point is a huge game changer. The quality is sooo good. And you can even treat the restaurant as a way to kind of taste test things before you head on over to the market to shop.

With seating at the bar we were served right away by a pleasant women who worked with us our entire stay. We started with the fish dip which was very good. A bit more cream cheese than I normally like but was still very good. Also had the Crab Savannah soup which is like a tomato based she crab soup, excellent!! For our entrees my wife had the Poke' Bowl with seared tuna. Asked for medium rare but got more to a medium color (gray) but the veggies that it came with were fresh, flavorful & crisp! For my self I had the oyster poor boy which was huge! Plenty of oysters and cooked just right. The remoulade sauce had a nice flavor and the veggies also were fresh & crisp. The ambience is more like a warehouse feel but I'm ok with that kind of atmosphere. In talking with our server Sunday's is there busiest day. So, if coming on a Sunday get there early or pack some patience as the food was very good & worth the trip. Thank you for a nice time! We'll be back!!

Need something healthy? The fresh catch with seared green beans is a go to! Service is great and they are very diligent about keeping your drinks topped off Place is always clean... this goes for the restroom as well. In my opinion, this place is underrated and definitely a go to especially in the Regency area.

With that, we were led to a window booth near the front of the restaurant. There was great debate over what we should have for an app but we both compromised on the Conch Fritters with Bacon Habanero Pepper Jam. We got a side of tartar sauce as well as Mom's not that adventurous. These were really good. For entrees, I got their Fresh Catch Entree and I chose the Trigger Fish (also comes with Smoked Mushrooms, Sundried Tomatoes, Lemon Basil Beurre Blanc, Herbed Jasmine Rice, and Bacon Sherry Charred Green Beans). I hadn't had that in a long time. I don't care much for white fish but this is one that I enjoy eating. Presentation was great and the taste was amazing. Mom got the Cajun Shrimp Pasta (Fettuccine, Sundried Tomatoes, Spinach, Mushrooms, Cajun Parmesan Cream Sauce, and Herb Toasted Panko). She enjoyed her entree and they gave her a pretty good size portion. The only thing she wasn't a fan of was the sundried tomatoes. Nothing wrong with them, she just doesn't like the texture. Our server was really awesome and kept checking in with us to see if we needed anything why also handling the larger parties coming through the door. We can honestly say that we're glad we visited in person instead of doing takeout and will definitely be back again.

Though the parking lot was busy, I was sat immediately and noticed they were not too busy on a Friday night 7:30pm - likely an indicator of the experience to come. Kaitlyn was very friendly in greeting and throughout the meal. She was obviously the only bright spot on this experience, since you see the star rating. The soda lacked carbonation in the coke, so I mentioned it tasting off to me. I switched to an Orange Fanta, and that too lacked carbonation. Ended up just eating my spicy crab combo with no drink. Which thankfully, spicy is no where near spicy at this location. Medium at best if you order spicy. Genuinely let down, especially since it is ONE cluster for $38.99. Definitely felt this was a skip, and then was shocked when the bill came... As a party of one, I was charged automatic gratuity of 12%, which is bewildering to me. Larger parties? Totally get it! But a party of one, which I was shocked but they do list on the menu of prices. I almost tipped 20% on top of the bill, until I was looking into why it was higher than I expected. Additionally, $4.99 for a soda that doesn't even have the syrup and carbonation properly calibrated?! Wowza, what a letdown for $50+ for dining alone. If you are in Jacksonville, you are surrounded by lots of good seafood places. Big crab? Personally, a pass for me.
