Truly the holy grail! The line was straight out the door due to its popularity and small space. They serve breakfast foods with drinks of coffee/tea. However, they are famous for their cinnamon roll and I knew I had to try it. I ordered this with the macadamia nuts and cream cheese frosting. It was delightful and one of the best I've tried. It was warm, the dough tasted like the "center of the roll" throughout the roll (tender). Although in other places frosting was relatively sweeter, this was the perfect balance. Went for 8am breakfast on a weekday and the line wasn't too long when we got there. I got the artisan cheese bagel stuffed with a lot of salmon, sprouts, cream cheese, and capers. They did not skimp on the amount of salmon, which made this probably my favorite bagel place in all of US (considering most brunch places don't give that much). The cinnamon rolls were a big hit too -- as most people come here for only this. I've never had fresh cinnamon rolls before so my experience may be biased, but what splendor came from each bite in this roll! The breading is so fluffy and explodes with flavor. The mac nuts gives such nice sweet texture along with the fluffiness of the bread. The only downside to the cinnamon rolls are that you cannot adjust the sweetness, which I thought the roll was a bit too sweet for me. Nonetheless, what an experience to have fresh cinnamon rolls! Service was slow, but well deserved considering everything is pretty much fresh. The quality is high due to the attention to the foods. The one downside to this is that this creates longer lines, so do plan ahead and accordingly if you want to try this place. We visited Cinnamon Roll Place based on a recommendation, and it was, okay. It wasn't bad, at all, but it also wasn't something we could ONLY get on the island. We got in line about, 7:15am, there was already a short line outside the door, waited about 15 minutes to order, then when we ordered, we were told we would get our rolls in 5 minutes. Well, it was definitely not a 5 minute wait. We probably waited between 15-20 minutes. Which is not the end of the world, however, when they verbally told us it would be 5 minutes, and it was about 4 times a long, that was a little disappointing. We got 2 cinnamon rolls, we added frosting and macadamia nuts to both, and the only thing I would say was different than a typical cinnamon roll was the addition of the macadamia nuts. In search of the best cinnamon rolls for my girlfriend, we visited this place during our trip to Wailea, Maui. The place is small, so be ready to wait in line! They have quite a bit of breakfast offerings, coffee drinks, and the like, so you will definitely find something if you didn't come for the cinnamon rolls. Even though we stay in Lahaina, we happily make the drive over to Kihei just for this treat. This is the place to go for a classic, ooey gooey cinnamon roll experience. The roll itself is dense and incredibly filling, and we always add their cream cheese frosting. My husband and I almost always split one, which is plenty of food and sugar for the both of us! The rolls are baked and sold separately from the icing, so you can control how much sweet cream cheese goodness you want to add. They offer a fantastic variety of toppings too. You can level up your roll with pecans, walnuts, almonds, or the local favorite, macadamia nuts. On our most recent visit, we also grabbed some of their chocolate chip cookies, and they were super good. If you are visiting the island and can make your way to Kihei, definitely give Cinnamon Roll Place a visit.
