I decided to try the orange chicken as I saw it on an Instagram reel. I arrived the food truck was parked in the back of rosewood social club. When I went order I scanned a QR code to view the menu. The food came out 10minutes later. Too my surprise they told me they gave me extra chicken so I got 6 pieces when I ordered the 3 piece. The chicken was tangy and very crisp you can hear the crunch when you take a bite of this chicken. Flavors are good I would like to come back to try the cinnamon chipotle flavor. The Mac and cheese was very creamy and tangy it was a good little twist on Mac and Cheese.

BOMB CHICKEN. This place is sooo good for a flavorful, juicy, and double fried chicken. I stoped by on a Sunday afternoon. It's a food truck with a few picnic tables outside. I got the Cinnamon Chipotle thighs and fries. WOW. The crunch, and flavor were so good. The fries were okay in my opinion. My husband got the hulked sandwich. It was also huge but very good as well. Ordering and waiting for the food took about 10 min. Parking on the street. Highly recommend!

This is one of those spots I so badly want too gatekeep, but also want to share with everyone because it's THAT GOOD. The chicken is insanely juicy and moist, and the skin/batter is unbelievably crispy. I ordered 3 orders of the 3pc just so I could try all 3 of their dry rubs. The spice and the flavors of each are perfect, all balanced with a touch of sweetness. If you like that tingly, numbing feeling, get the Szechuan. If you like just the spice, do the Spicy (I personally order it extra spicy), and if spice isn't you thing, their Chipotle Cinnamon is such a great option. The mac & cheese is the best I've ever had. It's cheesy, creamy, saucy, and they use cavatappi (the best pasta shape in my opinion)! It's worth every calorie.

You have to eat this sandwich at least once in your life. I never knew fried chicken could taste this good. 10/10 I will be back again and I highly recommend. Also, the customer service is amazing.

This chicken slaps. The flavors are delicious, and the agave dipping sauce pairs perfectly. You get quite a bit of food for the price. Cute food truck situation with picnic tables where you can sit and chill outside. Service was nice and fast.

If it's any indication on how good the food is, I've came back three separate times just to try all of their sandwiches! My favorite was the chipotle cinnamon chicken sandwich, followed by the Szechuan chicken and then the spicy chicken. You can't go wrong with any of them since they're all so good. The food truck owner was very kind and the food came out pretty fast and was very fresh. There's limited parking, but it's walking distance from quite a few neighborhoods. They have an excellent variety of sauces: honey mustard, chipotle ranch, lemon saffron aioli, strawberry jalapeño, just to name a few.

Cockti food truck has been in my list for a while so decided to finally give it a try! Got the 3 piece szeshuan chicken and the plantains both were very tasty. The chicken was crispy and the plantains were flavorful with the added sauces. The service was great and the owner makes it a point to check in. The location on a very hot day definitely is not ideal so I would not recommend this place for ambiance. I would say BYOB because the drink option are limits to 2 and the water purchase option is only the mini water! The only thing keeping me from giving this place a 5 star review is the menu does not offer much in terms of an item to balance the heat and the heaviness of the other menu items. I wish they had a coleslaw or cucumber salad to help balance out the meal.

This place is honestly a total game changer when it comes to offering gluten-free fried chicken. They really know what they're doing, and take pride in taking all the steps and understanding the food science for getting their chicken as tender and delicious as humanly possible. They were went above and beyond with offering to make me custom batches of their chicken that are egg-free and dairy-free as well, as long as I ask them ahead of time to allow them to marinate it all properly. They told me they'd be willing to make these dairy-free egg-free batches for anyone who reaches out, so feel free to message them on their ig and they'll take care of you. This is how you get regulars and I already know I'll be back regularly

AMAZING gluten friendly sandwiches and fried chicken! I love the nuggets - my absolute favorites! Perfectly breaded and the sauces are delicious. The sandwich is incredible too - my husband is not gluten free and he loved it! We got the spicy and tingly and both delicious! We also got the gf tiramisu tres leches - THE ABSOLUTE best - with raspberry jam - insanely good. Order is online and very quick! Sunday afternoon wasn't too busy but they can sell out so best to go early! Plenty of outdoor seating at food truck park!

Love that you can online order and select the time and day you want to pick up your meal. My work ordered Individually and I went to pick up the meals. The sandwiches were big and plenty to eat. And my coworkers all raved how good they were Mac n cheese could be considered a meal. It had a great flavor but a little runny for my taste The 3pc is perfect to share or eat the leftovers the following day. I reheated mine in the airfryer and it still had its crunch The fries are a must with the strawberry habanero sauce. the workers were so nice and we told them it's our first time and they told us EVERYTHING we need to know about this place!! The chicken is really good, they are definitely not afraid to put a lot of sauce on the sandwiches. we took it back to my apartment (20 min drive) and left the bread kind of soggy. we are definitely going to come back and try other menu items.

Chipotle Cinnamon Fried Chicken Sandwich

From the first bite of my chipotle, cinnamon fried chicken sandwich, I was a fan. By the last bite, I was a super fan. This hefty $8.99 sandwich is big. For me, it was big enough to make a meal. It is one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had--and I've tried all of them. "Fried Chicken Thigh, House Rub, Green Onions, Cilantro, Lime, Agave Nectar, Spicy Pickles, Chipotle Ranch, stuffed in a Toasted Bun" is the official description, but somewhere in there is some magic. This unusual combination of flavors really works. The chipotle gives it just enough heat for a slight burn, but then the sweetness of the agave and the warm touch of cinnamon rounds out the flavors. The boneless thigh is super juicy and perfectly fried, the big bun is warm and toasty, the pickle slices add a nice crunch, and they slather on just enough of the ranch dressing to make sure your fingers are gonna get messy. It's worth it. Cockti serves out of a food truck at the corner of MLK and Walnut Street in East Austin. There are a few parking places available in the lot, and I had no trouble finding street parking. They share the parking lot with a food truck that serves Puerto Rican food that also looked interesting. I've barely started digesting my big sandwich and I'm already thinking about going back soon to try their bone-in chicken and their sides.

Quality + price= success. This place was one of those, sure let's give it a try spots, and it is now a spot I would definitely visit again. The quality and flavor of the chicken was great! And then a sandwich for $9 I thought was a great value! They were fast, nice and helpful! Definitely worth a trip if you're in the neighborhood! I enjoyed the spicy chicken and my husband really loved the Szechuan flavor. My sister had the chicken Mac and cheese and really and enjoyed that as well, it had this spicy but sweet flavor.

Addictive. I don't know what these flavors were but I couldn't get enough. I had the fried chicken sandwich. It was huge, but also tender and tasty. From what I can tell, there's a slightly tangy sauce with a sliver of onion, a white cheese and a couple of pickles. It comes with a side of unbelievably delicious (and dare I say healthy) plantain fries and sauces (one strawberry-like and the other a tangy mustard (?)) Can't wait to go back. read more

This is the best fried chicken i've had in a while. And as a bonus, the customer service was 11/10. My boyfriend and I came late and wanted a 3 piece, he had just served his last batch and said it would take about 15 min unless we wanted to try something else- so we opted for the nuggets. We tried the spicy nuggets and not only were the nuggets crispy, juicy and beyond flavorful, they also threw in their last (cinnamon chipotle? I can't remember exactly, but it was INCREDIBLE) drumstick, just because. I'll definitely be showing all my friends this place and be a repeat customer. They just opened on Monday so I highly recommend trying this place out before they blow up! read more

no notes and nothing to complain about! we had their mac and cheese (spicy), chicken sandwich (spicy), 3 pc (cinnamon), and fries. our fav hands down was the mac and cheese - full of flavor, a hint of sweetness, and onion-y. definitely the best mac and cheese i've had in recent memory! also loved that they garnished HEAVILY with green onions on the mac and 3 pc. the 3 pc was super juicy and flavorful + the chicken sandwich hit the spot. the fries were nothing special but as an avid fry lover it passes the benchmark. think mcdonald's fries but more "fried"! definitely coming back. there's a thai truck in the lot that looks good too! read more

Well, this was a very pleasant surprise, as I was heading down MLK, in the mood to try a new food spot, when I stopped on a whim by Cockti Fried Chicken. I ended up trying their spicy chicken sandwich, nuggs and fries! I couldn't have been more pleased, as everything was was point. Just tried Cockti for the first time and it was easily the best fried chicken sandwich we've had. AND the customer service was unmatched. We got the Spicy chicken sandwiches - Super excited try more of their flavors. For the GF community: We marked the delivery order GF with a note of "celiac" & they went out of their way to CALL us to confirm what was safe/certified & even went over the label/ingredients in what wasn't certified -- I'm nearly speechless because it was just so kind and beyond appreciated!! This is hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had. We ended up ordering pretty much the whole menu. Starting with the Chipotle Cinnamon Chicken Sandwich, I have never tasted anything better in my whole life. came with a sauce that was not over powering but complemented the rub on the sandwich perfectly. The 3 pc Spicy drums, was perfectly crispy but still juicy. Amazing flavor, crispy onions, lime, all garnish's brought out an amazing flavor in the chicken. Not insanely spicy but definitely has a good kick. We also ordered the spicy szchezuan nuggets, which ended up being the same nuggets that the Mac and cheese was topped with. I am an avid Mac and cheese hater but this Mac and cheese was my one exception it was sent straight from heaven. It was absolutely amazing. The spice from the nuggets with the creamy Mac paired perfectly. The prices were also hard to beat for the amount of food we received. All in all, would come back 1000x again and bring friends every time. read more

Called in advance and he remembered me telling him it was my birthday on the phone and made me a gluten free tres leches cake. It's made fresh so it takes about 20 min, but you can skip the wait by ordering ahead online. read more

We tried out the cinnamon, chipotle Chicken sandwich, spicy chicken mac & cheese and the french fries. The cinnamon chipotle chicken flavor is kind of like an Indian fried chicken seasoning. All the food was pretty good. You can order online. The strawberry habanero sauce is more like a jam and the saffron aïoli was pretty nice & unique. Overall, the food is definitely flavorful with good portions as of now. read more

Amazing food for a great price, cockti fried chicken has quickly become my go to chicken spot in Austin. Their sandwiches are HUGE, so crispy and juicy and the flavors are out of this world. This place has been very hyped up lately from all the local food bloggers, but for good reason! The fried chicken here is excellent, some of the best I've had. Crunchy exterior and juicy inside. The flavoring is spot on. The fries were just ok but the sauces make up for that. Really like the chipotle ranch. They gave me some extra sauces to try, which was really nice service. I appreciated getting to try more of the sauces. Definitely recommend checking this place out! It's a food truck, so I just placed an order online and picked up. Took around 20 minutes. The best fried chicken in Austin. The owner told me about their unique, house-blend seasonings, hooking me up with the 3-piece- 2 Szechuan and Spicy flavors. The Szechuan was an amazing taste unlike anything you've had before, while the Spicy added a spiced heat I didn't know I had craved before. If you are in the mood for spicy boys, terry's', or even golden chick, you must check out Cockti. I will be eating here weekly to satiate my fried chicken needs. I couldnt even take a picture of the food because I ate it so quick. I would highly recommend as I will be taking my friends and family here. read more

I've visited this spot a few times and have loved the food every time. On this visit, though, my chicken looked a little off on the inside, so I went to the counter to ask if it was fully cooked. They reassured me it was safe to eat and kindly offered to make me a whole new meal. Since I had already eaten around the spot, I decided to just enjoy the rest without making a fuss. A few minutes later, the sweet lady from the counter came over to our picnic table with fresh food for me anyway. It was such a thoughtful and generous gesture, great customer service and still one of my favorite places to eat! read more

We were in the area and I just had to take my mom to this food truck. If y'all are ever in the area, this is THE spot to eat fried chicken. The chef there always hooks it up with all that flavor and is so cool to talk to. I did not feel comfortable accepting the offer of another replacement burger from a business with that attitude towards their product and their clientele. It seems they have way too much business to offer an edible product.

I finally got around to trying Cockti Fried Chicken, and I'm sold! The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. I ordered the Szechuan three-piece bone-in, and it was seriously delicious. The heat level had a nice kick without overpowering the flavor, and the seasoning was spot on. It's hard to find good bone-in fried chicken in Austin, so I'm thrilled to have another solid option. I'll definitely be going back to try the other flavors.
