Correct me if I'm wrong but paying almost $5 for this....I haven't even touched it. They served it to me at the counter and I just took it to my table and couldn't say anything at how annoyed it made me. If they didn't care enough to serve it to me they obviously wouldn't care enough to listen to me or even give me my money back. I won't even discuss my stale macarons that I could tell were once frozen. People seem to love it though. Maybe it was just my experience that was lousy. read more

I went here with a girl friend and we shared the walnut pastries and affogato and both were delicious. The service is kinda meh and not attentive. It's okay if you want to just sit here with a friend and talk, which is what we did. That being said, the lady that works there kinda looks like she doesn't want to be there or serve you. I asked for soy in my iced coffee and the other guy worker for sure tuned me out. When I asked again, he seemed like he had just heard it for the first time. Also, they won't give you the wifi password and just type it in your device for you which is kinda weird. That being said, I do really like the walnut pastries and my family enjoyed them as well! Loved this place. Upon walking in, you will be greeted with fragrant waves of hazelnut and coffee. The cafe is also very clean, decorous and spacious. I only ordered the green tea shaved ice and it was delicious. The toppings were very good (red bean and mochi) and the red bean wasn't so overtly sweet at all. The green tea ice cream was really tasty as well. I didn't enjoy the hazelnut puff pastry balls as much unfortunately. But am excited to come back to try their drinks and other deserts. read more

FOOD - 2 stars It was my first time in this place. I ordered the Green Tea Shaved Ice. I wouldn't say I liked it but I didn't dislike it either. The shaved ice came with nuts, which I asked to be removed before I paid but when they gave my order the nuts were there. I told them that I wanted the nuts removed which they were accommodating to do so but I chose not to because I didn't want to trouble them. I also ordered the Cocohodo, which I personally didn't like. People have their preference in food and so do I. But if you ever do come to this place, don't hesitate to try the Green Tea Shaved Ice and the Cocohodo. You might end up liking it! :) But for me, it's something I wouldn't want to order again with nuts or without the nuts. CUSTOMER SERVICE - 4 stars The environment was clean and organized. Also, the workers were friendly and nice. However, it would have been better if there were more than two workers. Cocohodo has a Fullerton location and I used to go there a lot for my hodo gwaja fix, but I stopped going there because I found a local spot that made hodo gwajas. Then again, a few months ago, I saw a Cocohodo sign after eating at Shinwon. Then the waiting began.... So finally, Cocohodo opened! Yay!! When we came in, the girl at the counter gave us 2 of their hot pastry balls to sample and they tasted the same: "hot, crunchy walnut, and sweet red bean filling goodness..." When we look at the name, we thought it's a Japanese dessert place, but we were wrong. It's a Korean style coffee shop with their signature walnut pastry. We ordered a mini box, around $6 you got 12 little walnut shape pastry which were filled with red bean paste and a small walnut. I like it warm and it's not too sweet. It's a good idea for a gift to friend's house. They wrapped the box nicely. It's not expensive yet taste not bad. We will try their fruit mojito next time. read more

The interior is clean and spacious, and there are lots of options on the menu! Apart from ordering a mango smoothie, I went straight for the walnut pastries that they're known for! Ordering a small batch of these small delights, my friends and I polished them extremely quickly - pretty much on our way back to our car in the parking lot. stumbled upon this place when I was waiting for korean bbq. As I walked in the staff was inviting and greeted me immediately. At first I was not sure what they were selling. They quickly gave me a sample of their walnut bite size pastries. It was still warm and it tasted so fresh. It was a bite size cake with red bean filling and a little bit of walnuts inside. Yumm. I got $3 worth to take home and it came with 9, the lady was nice enough to throw in two extra. I stored it in the fridge and microwaved it for 30 sec. After having lunch at JJ Noodle House, a friend suggested that we go grab some after lunch dessert. He told us about a time where his step dad brought home some pastries from Cocohodo and said it was delicious. Without hesitation we left JJ and drove down the street to Cocohodo. Cocohoho is located in the plaza right across the street from Bulgolgi House (formerly Korea House). We walked in and each got a drink. I got the green tea slushie? (smoothie?). It turned out to be that of the matcha variety. Tasted pretty good. My friend got a nice tasting drink but I forgot the name of it. It was probably a caramel machiatto (I probably spelled that wrong). We also ordered a x-large snack portion of the walnut pastries (30 pcs). They told us that it'll take 30 minutes because they were swamped with orders. We didn't mind and walked around the streets of Rowland Heights while we waited. After walking around Greenland Market and other nice smelling bakeries, we returned to Cocohodo. When I asked if our order was done, they looked bewildered and scared. My assumption is that they probably gave away our order to those that were waiting in the store. They said sorry that our order wasn't ready and told us to wait another 5 minutes. 2 minutes later our order came and it smelled delicious. They again apologized for the inconvenience and we were out on our way. The pastries were amazing. Inside each pastry was red bean and walnuts. Very tasty. Yelp has failed me I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time due to the many great reviews. However I was disappointed. I really like red bean desserts so I ordered 30 for myself. It was individually wrapped and served to us very nicely on a wooden board but it was just very dry and too sweet. Not the good red bean sweet taste but just plain sugar sweet. Also had the waffles which was also very dry. It didn't have any taste to them. Luckily we ordered coffee so we had something to wash it down with. I gave this place 3 stars for the coffee and the ice cream. The place was also very nice and clean. read more

I got a box of their signature walnut pastry (individually wrapped morsels consisting of walnut with red bean paste) for my grandma one day and she loved it! :) It came in a nice gift box that was already wrapped for you. I came upon this place due to yelp. I quite enjoy this place. I came here to try this place two weeks back. I didn't really know what it was until I got here and was offered one sample piece by the nice lady. It was still warm when I ate it so that was a plus. I decided I might as well get a drink since I'm already here and so I got mocha and the $3 for 9 pieces which was totally worth it. The mocha was not bad(actually way better than imagined) and when I came home I realized she gave me 2 extra pieces which was even better. I quite enjoy this pastry because I ate 3 in like minutes because I find it pretty addicting to eat. I really like the little red bean paste with a bite of walnut which gave it a crunch and that made it tasty. The thing is once the walnut pastry gets cold...it isn't exactly as tasteful but I would definitely come back to get some more because it's rather decently price and service was great. I've had their Cocohodo walnut pastries before but I never knew where they came from until I stumbled on their Yelp page. I'm so glad I've found them now! Their pastries are DIVINE! I love them~ And they have pretty good package deals; I got the Large Bag of 20 pastries for about $7 or so (curse my terrible memory orz). I went to Cocohodo last year after seeing an advertisement for the store. I didn't know it was a coffee shop, I thought it was a Taiwanese boba or shaved ice place. I ordered a caramel blended coffee drink(equivalent to a Starbucks frappuccino). My drink was a size medium and for the price, I thought it was too expensive. The drink itself wasn't as good as a Starbucks frappuccino, in my opinion. It was a bit more slushy, not enough caramel flavor(I didn't get any caramel syrup etc) and the coffee wasn't strong. For the price, I wouldn't order that drink again. The other drinks and snacks available, I didn't try so I don't know how good they are. Cute decor and interior design though. read more

My first inclination was that it was similar to paris baguette. LOL. Silly me. No, it's NOT paris baguette. They only sell one kind of pastry. It's like taiyaki (those japanese pancakes filled with red bean) but in a ball shape + a walnut. They girl at the counter was asked us if we'd ever been here before and gave us both a sample of one. I liked it. It's a nice little snack. We ordered a small bag of them (9) but they ended up giving us like 20 because it was closing time and they didn't want to throw it away. That was a nice perk. We also got a black bean latte. My palate is not used to such strange lattes but i can't say it was bad. It has potential to grow on me. I chose to check out this place thanks to all these positive review and it did not disappointed!! This location is inside a strip mall right next to Hanmi Bank, very easy to find. The moment we walked into the restaurant, the person behind the counter welcomed us with a big bright smile. As we were deciding what to order, she gave us two walnut pastry to try. It was really good when it was hot as it they were filled out creamy red bean sauce with a walnut inside. We ended up over a small bag plus 2 drinks. I had the mango iced tea. Unfortunately for that, I can't say that it was good. The flavor was minimal and there were way too much ice which made it very watery. My friend had the mango smoothie and that might seem like the better choice. It is a nice little restaurant and if you ever want to try some new Korean dessert, definitely would recommend to give this place a try!! read more

Their mocha ice blended is made with a fresh shot but no whipped cream wahhhh I was so sad about that. It also was more watery and less creamy, maybe because they use skim milk? Not sure . Together with walnut pastry, the flavor is kind of weird but separate, both items were fine (except for missing whipped cream! ) The walnut pastries are delicious! It's like a mini sponge cake outside with a red bean paste inside and here is a walnut in each ball. I had three in a row... And had to stop myself!!! Makes a great gift for a party or for a Hostess! Me and my girlfriend need a nice cup of coffee with some food to go. We happened to stumble upon this wonderful place. We were so exhausted walking in, we ended up leaving awake and satisfied. We just visited this place today (Saturday) at 1:30. Quiet, comfortable and not super busy. The place is clean and inviting. It doesn't really stand out from the street so you have pull into the parking lot to see it but it's worth stopping by and trying out.
