Good food quality! The broken rice is $14 with 3 meat selections. I got 2 BBQ pork and 1 grilled shrimp, that plate was my lunch + dinner for the day. The BBQ pork was delicious, very tender, just a little bit too sweet for me (most people would like it I believe).

Went here with my parents for Father's Day. Negatives: -cleanliness, the tables are sticky and the men's restroom had a lot of small flies. Would not go back to this restroom. Positives: -taste, the broken rice is good with decent flavor. Very similar flavor to com tam Xi gon without the crazy long wait. -value, better value than most com tam places. I would return just for the value. -service, quick and responsive no complaints here. Overall 5/5 I will return to this place for the food and the value, but I'll be going to a different restroom lol

Okay, we walked in today 7/10/2025. Open floor and it smelled really good! A young man told us to take a seat anywhere. We sat and ordered our food really quickly! Food came out quick, we ordered the BBQ Beef Ribs, Shrimp, Shrimp Stick, Chinese sausage, & BBQ Beef. Everything was seasoned really good and it tasted amazing! I knocked off a star because the customer service could be a bit better! Again, both guys were really nice, but the pace was a bit too slow for us, and on top of that the AC was down, so the door was open and we had to keep swatting our flies away from our food! Overall food was 4.5/5 and service was 3/5!

I went here on a Thursday night and there was no wait. The staff were quick to greet me and hand me a menu. I ordered the Com Tam - Pork Egg Cake, Shrimp, Pork BBQ, Pork Skin. Was served with a hot pork broth. The fish sauce was in a pincher and self served. I thought the food was a bit too peppery for my taste. The shrimp was charbroiled and marinated well. The rice plates start at $14 and go up as you add sides. The down side might be the meat options are shrimp and pork. It's in a large strip mall with plenty of parking. The place is on a corner and you won't miss it.

I saw this place through IG and they sell com tam (broken rice) dishes. What makes it different from other places, they allow you to pick your 3 toppings and charge extra when you want more than that. Location- Located inside a shopping plaza, decent amount of parking. Restaurant is located on the corner facing the driveway entrance. They have ample tables and chairs. Restroom is limited, but they have sinks outside to wash hands. Food- It is solely focus on com tam, so it was nice to pick out your toppings. Toppings filled up the plate and could be two meals worth for some people. Since it is com tam, it comes with soup and pickled vegetables as well. Everything tastes good, but the rice was a little too moist. Plus, if you are dining in, you get a small free jello dessert. Price- It's reasonable and average pricing, considering there are many com tam places nearby, if you are interested in pork chop, there's another place known for offering large pieces. This place is good because you can customize your plate of the toppings you desire. However, make sure you bring cash or else you will be charge 3% convenience fee for using your card. Service- It was quick for them to bring out the food and drinks. Overall- Convenient place if you are nearby and craving com tam or want a personalized dish experience.

I tried the Com Tam with BBQ pork and grilled shrimp on cane. There wasn't as much meat as my first visit, but the marinade was good. The side of extra BBQ pork was also smaller than expected. Overall, it was average. The food was cold, so I had to microwave it. I might have received old food since it was only 9 AM. The total was almost $24, and I'm not sure if I'll return.

They do not SKIMP on the portion of food. We went for a late dinner and luckily it wasn't busy (it was a weekday). The vermincelli noodles with bbq pork and egg roll surely hit the spot. However I wished there was another egg roll to balance all the other ingredients. The meat was very juicy and had a nice charred taste. My family got the broken rice dishes and surprisingly they were able to finish the whole plate, given they don't each much. With a plate larger than their faces and to be able finish everything, it's worth coming here! The service was quick and the staff was very friendly :) we would come back when we're down in SoCal again

Not my favorite. I love com tam and this place is not it. For $14, you choose 3 items from a list of offerings. Unlike other com tam places where they offer a solid base with a main protein and a few other things, i.e. bi and chả trứng free of charge, you have to build your own here. I chose thịt nướng, chả trứng and tàu hủ ky. There was nothing particularly memorable about my com tam experience here - the chả trứng and tàu hủ ky were pretty dry. Yikes. No bueno. In all honesty, it's not a very good value here and portions are small. They just kinda assemble your plate. I'd skip this place if you're on the hunt for a good com tam place. There are far better places in the area to eat this dish.

The food portion is decent. Ribs were flavorful. The restaurant seems clean. The only regrettable thing that made me not wanting to come back here is the 2% credit card fee charged to customers. Their reason is because the bank charges the fee. This BS excuse from multiple restaurants in this area needs to be stopped. This is a business expense that can be claimed for tax deduction. With your charge of $15 for a plate, you can't expect the customers pay for your business cost then claim the fee for tax deduction end of year. Let me know if you need a a referral for a CPA.

Com Tam Bui hits different. Their Com Tam is delicious and is easily my go-to Vietnamese rice dish. The rice is cooked to just the right texture. Fluffy yet slightly sticky. A perfect base for the meats/sides you prefer. If you add nuoc cham, it ties it all together, making every bite slap harder than the last. You can fsho leave full and satisfied after dining here. If you're in the area pull up.

My favorite place for delicious Cơm Tấm. Fish sauce is not salty, and is lightly sweet. Charcoal grilled Sướng Nướng is tasty, chewy. Chả is unique and authentic like in Vietnam. Shredded Pork / Skin (Bì) is fresh, chewy. Cơm Tấm (Broken Rice) is hot and delicious with green onions. The young waiter and waitress are polite, knowledgeable and fast. Place is cold even when it is hot outside. My "Devilpup" Yelp account crashed and disappeared so I have to re-start all of my reviews throughout the years. So sad!

After a workout, I decided to try authentic Vietnamese broken rice here, and I was truly impressed! The flavors in the meat were flavorful and tasty!!. The tables were clean, prices are reasonable, and the servers were welcoming and friendly. You feel genuinely valued as a customer, which isn't always the case at some places. I had high hopes for Cơm Tấm Bùi after hearing so many rave reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype. First off, when I sat down, I felt rushed to order, which wasn't ideal since I was new to the place and wanted a moment to look over the menu. Also, heads up--there's a red light camera when you turn left into the parking lot, so be careful! I decided to play it safe and went with bún thịt nướng, a dish I know well. The fish sauce is unlimited, which is a nice touch, but it was way too salty and lacked that perfect sweet, tangy balance that makes a good nước mắm. It really overpowered the dish, and honestly, it kind of ruined the whole meal. The pork, vermicelli, and veggies were all just "okay"--nothing special. I wanted to like this place, but the fish sauce issue was a dealbreaker for me. I'm not sure if it was a one-time thing, but if they can't get the fish sauce right, it's hard to enjoy a Vietnamese meal. Maybe I'll give it another shot, but for now, I'm not in a rush to return. read more

I love love love com tam here. It tastes exactly like how I remember it in Saigon. The service is immaculate and they'll give you what you ask for. I definitely recommend grabbing their special herbal tea, it's really refreshing and sweet. No need to look elsewhere! If you are craving for authentic Com Tam "rice shower" this place is a hidden gem! I can't get over how flavorful the meat and sides are. Meat was full of grilled tender juicy and satisfaction. This place only serves com tam in the daytime and it turns into a bar at night called ACE BEER. Easy menu choice. read more

This place has good reviews. Four stars, many profiles of which have only 1-5 total reviews, which I find suspect. I didn't call this into question until I realized how subpar it was when we came in at noon on a Sunday for lunch. Which begs the question how this could be? My estimate is that either people have low expectations or that we simply came in at the wrong part of the day, because: 1. They had a full menu that is only for the night patrons. The day one is pretty limited in selection and limited to only rice, with your choice of 3 proteins from a list. 2. Service is lacking during the day because they only had 1 waiter. With only 2-3 other tables, when our party of 14 came in they couldn't handle the order. The waiter only brought out drinks and dishes after taking everyone's order and left them at the head of the table to have us figure out who ordered what. When they brought out small bowls of soup and fish sauce to our table they gave us less than 14 even though there's 14 of us. It's not rocket science. You need to bring the same number of stuff as how many are to the table. 3. One of the people at our table had to get up and get silverware to bring back to all of us because it was too much for the waiter to handle our order. 4. My coffee came out 75% full. I don't think it's that hard to at least fill up the cup, especially when it's full of ice. Which makes it pretty much a 5 sip $6 drink. Wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Look, it's com tam and it's good. Meat is cooked the way it should be and smellllllls the way it should be when you think of com tam. You can even bring white people here because the menu is so easy to read and has descriptions with familiar words that won't make them ask "what's this, what's that?" Speaking about the menu, I love it. You can literally add whatever you want and build your own plate. 10/10. I can build my meal and be the con heo that i am. Service is great too, idk wtf some reviewers say it's slow. Weirdos. staff is nice . Cash only, as it should be. read more

Ordered to go - Com tam thit nuong , cha Trung and lap Xuong . Comes with a side soup. What a balanced meal. With their side pickled veggies adds some crunch too. Their pork meat was juicy soft and nicely charred . Cha Trung was very good and so was their Chinese sausage. My new go to com tam spot !!! read more

They should delay the floor cleaning till all customers are gone. The cleaning solution smells so strong. The should not take away the chili jar and fish sauce while customers are eating. Food is very good. Service is poor. Workers are not attentive and friendly. read more

The place is a broken rice restaurant in the morning and a beer club at night, so don't be confused when you arrive and see the beer club sign lol. The pork chop is tender, juicy, and flavorful. Fried egg is pretty crispy but not oily (plus point). Their fish sauce is a lot thicker than other places so don't ask for more before you taste it. Everything else is average, imo. read more

This place is new in town and they seemed unprepared for the influx of customers, which was understandable. They had 2 servers in the front and cater to the whole place. Just want to add that food will take forever to come out though. One tip is that you don't need to wait for waiters, you will need to sit at one of the tables and they will come to take your orders. We ordered pork chop suong, pork shredded skin, chao tom, and bi cha trung. They seasoned the pork chop perfectly and other items are not as good. Chao tom was kind of dry and cha trung did not have enough vermicelli and ear mushrooms, the texture was just soft. Their fish sauce tasted ok.. it was a bit too salty. read more

They give a thick and good pork chop(if you order it) they are not stingy at all like some other com tâm restaurants would give a thinnest pork chop and đâu hu ky ! Over all it tastes very good! You pretty much eat it by wrapping it with the lettuce or dip your noodles into the sauce. Very authentic and delicious without being overly heavy. There isn't much service here since they seem to be super short staffed but they do have delicious authentic Northern Vietnamese food so we absolutely will be back again!

Ah, Com Tam Bui, the restaurant that serves up a paradox on a plate! The food? Finger-licking good. The ambiance? Let's just say it's a fly--literally--on the chili. First order of business, the not-so-spotless surroundings. When I spotted fruit flies vacationing in the chili container, I called the waiter over quicker than a contestant hitting the buzzer on a game show. Onto the meat, or should I say, the ghost of meats past? If these portions were any smaller, they'd be auditioning for a role as a movie extra. But let's give credit where it's due; "BỤI" means "DUST" and they're sticking to that theme like gum on a shoe. It's brand consistency, but like, make it questionable. Would I return? Why not! Especially if I'm in the mood for a side of fruit flies with my meal. But jokes aside, if they scrub up and scale up, they're on a straight path to a five-star rating.
