    Soup without broth
    Laura W.

Cavatapi pasta is overcooked. The garlic bread isnt cooked, the top is a buttery parmesan cheese mess. Chicken noodle soup has no soup as it is a bowl filled with so many bits of broken noodle from the bottom of the barrel. So disappointing as now ill be hungry for the next 6 hours.

    Jam packed with eggs!

While their location may not be convenient, like most smaller businesses in Westwood Village, their breakfast burritos are great with quality ingredients. With minimal layers of the tomato basil tortilla, it's jam packed with eggs. I had the bacon. Great kick to the fresh salsa. I ordered for delivery so I'm guess the potatoes would have tasted better warm. Lots of sandwiches, wraps and bowls on the menu. Maybe their lower prices makes the effort to find parking worth it?

Menu with lots of food, pastry, and drink items!!! You can't go wrong coming here

I know I know... support the small bsusinesses BUT if you're looking for a solid place to study and grab food, this is THE place. This is my go-to Westwood coffeeshop to study at because it has everything you need AND MORE! There's bathrooms, outlets, tons of indoor seating, 3/5 strength internet, and food/coffee options. Plus the coffee isn't crazily priced!!! Usually a vanilla cold brew is $5 minimum in most LA shops, but this place has it for $3.60.. amazing for a broke college kid!! FYI-There's street parking, but it gets taken pretty fast!

At 10 am on Saturday they did not have hot oatmeal. The coffee was ready made in thermoses and was tepid. Otherwise OK, convenient.

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I especially wanted to try their bossam but didn't think it was out of the ordinary. With that said, food was still very good. Even when we're still in line, the staff already let us know where to sit. I really appreciated the warm gesture and attentiveness of all the servers for sure!! It's a huge space that gave more industrial vibe to me than traditional Taiwanese theme, but it's totally a very convenient dining spot for both small and big group. We tried some from the menu and were pleased by all of them. They might look small but very filling actually since all the bowls were filled to top. The Dan Dan noodles have flavorful peanut sauce with it perfect noodles texture. Would recommend add extra sides for proteins, which we opted for pork belly and minced pork. The belly was extremely tender with thick juicy slices. The minced pork was equally palatable. They're generous in portion for being sides, we even packed some home. We obviously didn't skip their Hakka Mochi for dessert, which were still warm chewy yet moist when served and covered in overflowing black sesame and peanut powder. I wasn't usually a fan of black sesame but decided to give this one a try anyway and ending up no regrets at all! The powder was such spoiling mix of sweet and salty in one bite.

Normally staff ask if you have any allergies but they never asked? We ate the: - Minced pork- 5/5 probably the best dish there - Dan Dan noodles (which I think had milk in it after thinking about it)- 3/5 if you are ok with lactose it is tasty with chicken - 2 cold appetizers (lotus root and wood ear mushrooms)- 5/5 - Simple greens which was bok Choy- 2/5 it was super overcooked and limp and lifeless. Service was great and they have very friendly people working there. The 90's R&B was thumping and it is a place where it might be harder to have a conversation. I didn't mind because I loved hearing the music. Only two restrooms so you might need to wait. We went at 3 pm and the place was busy so I can't imagine the wait during meal times.

Course we gotta start with their crunchy but not too fermented cabbage and radish kimchi and soft steamed cabbage with soybean paste. The chive pancake was savory and green oniony and was lightly crisp and chewy. Paired well with the oniony soy saucy vinegary dipping sauce. The dumplings had chewy doughy skins with umami meaty fillings. The kimchi one was just a bit spicy. The jengban neang myun was refreshing and had qq thin noodles, thinly sliced beef and radish slices, squiggy not fishy raw fish, and crisp Korean pear sticks. And finally for my fave Korean dish galbi Jim. It came with some pretty purple rice and I added super gooey stretchy mozzarella cheese to it and it wasn't spicy but was very flavorful and had soft tender onions, startchy potatoes, sweet pumpkin, bouncy rice cakes, and fall of the bone beef ribs. MNM. Overall this place is pretty good. Chive pancake $10.99 Meats dumplings $14.99 Kimchi dumplings $14.99 Jengban neang myun $20.99 Galbi Jim $47.99 +$4.99 cheese

Service was friendly and efficient, and the whole experience felt easy and satisfying. Place was chill, not too overly crowded. We also added beef brisket since my friend wasn't a big fan of cartilage - more for me! The pot itself wasn't too deep, though there was a good portion of protein cartilage. Also important to note that rice was NOT included! The brisket add on came as a pre-cooked brisket that was added in after, as it didn't initially fit in the pot. The staff member told us at the time that broth refills were free. However, when it came time for refills, they said it was only one time - poor communication. Paying was fairly straightforward, but for future visits, I'd likely just come for their lunch special sullongtang after this experience.
