Alright. So we have gone to this place a couple times, and had a good experience, until yesterday. Me and my husband finished our meals, and checked out, then walked to our car to realize we left our keys on the table. So we go back inside to say we left our keys on the table and to find out our table was cleared and people were already sitting down. I understand accidents happen. And they probably didn't mean to throw it away. The problem I had was that they told us constantly that they have checked the trash, and they are no longer liable for them. They even told us they had an "expert trash guy" look. They told us that they looked through "our table paper" and my husband said "how did you know it was our paper you looked through " and no one said anything except "we are not liable " I told them constantly " I have a 3 month old baby, a two year old and a puppy I need to go and pick up" because it was our first dinner date we've had since having them . then I told them that it's a 300$ key fob they just threw away. And they still said "there's nothing we can do about that" so after an hour or so we finally left, got a ride from our friends to get our spare . About 15 mins when we were already home. My husband calls just to leave his number in case they find them ...for them to tell him they found the keys in the garbage and they said they put a note on our car to let us know they found them . We go back and they said "oh you threw them away"and there was no note on the car... keep in mind this is almost 2 hours now. And it feels like they only looked for them after I told them the price of the keys. I worked at a crab place on the beach for a couple years when I was younger. And we always had to look on the table before we threw anything away. The fact that I told them I need to pick up my kids and that it took two hours for them to finally get our keys. Was excited to go, but the crab was a disappointment. Surprising given the crab boil is their main offering and the crab is not fresh, 3 out of the 4 blue crab was mushy. As far as the rest, not bad. Recently went with a group of 12 for birthday. I ordered calamari and it was all rings and you knew it was frozen and not good at all. I ordered the fried oyster basket and it was mediocre at best. Our server was not very attentive to refills of drinks and forgot to bring a cole slaw for one of our party until end of meal. Not overly impressed. We enjoyed the Crafty Crab a lot! The server was great and since we were new to the restaurant, she patiently walked us through the menu options and how things worked. Unlike another similar crab chain, they have platters that are placed down for your bag-o-crabs to rest on. That's a PLUS!! We ordered the hottest seasonings but they weren't that hot but they were tasty and the sizes were great. Definitely worth a trip back. Had the shrimp and crab boil. Also had the steamed oysters both with the Boom sauce mild. The dinner was great. Outstanding flavor and spice. I enjoyed the process of eating the boil out of the bag. Crafty Crab is the restaurant to go to when you are in the mood for crabs and sea food combinations. These mixup of seafood can only be eaten with your hands so don't be expecting to eat with any utensils. I love the place. My only disappointment was one of the server employees. Server Daniel was so rude for using my blind disability to harass me by picking around corners and give me stairs and she walked bye. I still recommend this family fun restaurant.As a visual impaired person I heard exactly what was going on. I left but I'm finding it hard to ever go back there if I have to be on alert. Personally this is the best seafood I have tasted in the Melbourne/Palm Bay well. Everything is seasoned really well and for myself being from Louisiana seafood is an important staple in my life! This is the closest seafood that tasted similar to what I can get at a seafood boil back home.
