First timer here!!! Ohhhh boy is this going to be a good review. Ernie and Melissa are the owners, and they couldn't be better people!!! Often, they are bombarded with crazy Boston College kids, but we all love them!!! Let me tell you. Nothing hits better than a nice big ol' slice of pizza after a night out and I don't know why I have not come here before!! HIGHLY recommend for a yummy slice, along with their fire calzone. I got the buff chick pizza and it was delicious!! Good ration between the crust, sauce, cheese AND toppings. So honestly, nothing better and you must head here for a slice!

Good if you're drunk after a night out because it stays open late but other than that nothing too notable. The slices size are decent for the prices

Some kind of chicken

Ordered delivery and it was terrible. 3 pizzas and one was not cooked and I mean raw dough. Ordered an Italian sub got some kind of chicken crap that barely had any meat, didn't bother to try it because it looked disgusting. The 'greek salad' was lettuce and tomatoes, no feta, no olives, no nothing. Save your money, there are much better pizza joints in the area than this place

The crust here is a bit thin and tough for my taste. Did the gluten over-develop? I preferred the Potato Bacon Cheddar to the Eggplant Roasted Red Pepper. The bbq chicken calzone was stuffed full and had a tasty sprinkling of parmesan on top. It was served with your choice of dipping sauces - I went with the marinara. Service was friendly enough, but if they were more organized, they'd have put the calzone in the oven first. My pizzas were out and sitting there for several minutes while waiting for the calzone go rotate and bake a few more rounds. POTATO BACON CHEDDAR A white pie topped with mozzarella, seasoned red bliss potato, smoked bacon and finished with scallions and freshly shredded cheddar. Best served w/ Ranch dressing on the top or side. #1 Customer Favorite! $6.50/ $9.75 / $19.25 Personal 10" / 12" / 18" EGGPLANT ROASTED RED PEPPER Our signature tomato sauce, mozzarella, breaded Italian eggplant and fire-roasted red peppers. $6.50 / $9.75 / $19.25 BBQ Chicken Calzone Italian chicken, red onion, smoked bacon, BBQ sauce & mozzarella ... $7.75 Crust comes in White or Stone Ground Wheat. I preferred the white. Bathrooms are available in the back past the counter seats and the soda fountain.

a half eaten pizza in a box

just save your money, this food was actually gross. Only reason im giving 2 stars is because the pizza was edible. I had to spit the cheesy bread in the toilet. YUCK

a half eaten pizza

I ordered subs from Crazy Doughs. All were mediocre. The chicken on the chicken parm sub is frozen from a bag. I called the restaurant that night and two employees confirmed it's frozen from a bag. An employee offered a refund of $6 which was less than the price of one sandwich. The order ended up in my trash.

Quickly cooked/ready for pickup, decent pizza. One of our pizzas was incorrect but they made us a replacement free of charge.

Just horrible in every way possible. Terrible service and the owner is insufferable. The food is served undercooked.

I had a balsamic ricotta and something else slice at the recommendation of the girl working the counter and I'm glad I listened.

Amazing. Best spaghetti frutti di mare I've had in Boston! Go!…read more Oh, Really nice owners too!

parking is street…read more booked a table for saturday lunch the night before. credit card is charged $25 to hold and they'll take it off your bill. we ordered the soup of the day, chicken and vegetables, caprese, the trio ravioli, seafood pasta, and a couple of cappuccino. soup was nice, was accompanied with bread. very comforting bowl of soup. seasoning come through each bite. the more i ate it, the more i realized it was just a little bit on the salty side for me. caprese was very fresh, all the ingredients were really fresh. the mozzarella is the denser type. my ravioli plate was great. a good size, you can taste the freshness of the ravioli dough. my favorite was the cheese. there were corners of the ravioli that were a bit al dente. the seafood pasta was not at its best. the seafood served was fishy, not fresh. when the plate was brought out you could smell the unsavory fishiness. i personally wouldn't have serve the seafood at home if it gotten to that stage. for dessert we got the crème brûlée and mango panna cotta. we loved the crème brûlée. the shell was nice and hard, flavor was good. the panna cotta was a bit dense for our own personal liking. i got one cappuccino at the start of the meals and a second one during dessert. second one was a lot stronger than the first. both were good. the restaurant should update their menu to reflect the correct pricing. menu shows $3 and was charged $4.95, doesn't leave a good taste when that happens. for carry out, we ordered the chicken pesto and italian sandwich, both very good. all the ingredients were flavorful and really fresh. the rosemary they include on each sandwich is a really nice touch. it's actually a fresh (not dried) cut of a rosemary branch. i took it and infused it with olive oil at home to accompany the sandwich. happy to return and try other dishes.

Another 10/10 visit to Tonino in the books!…read more It's such a hard reservation to get, but so worth it. I'm actually getting salivating while posting this review and looking back at my food pictures. I get the Eggplant & Ricotta Pizza as my appetizer and the Rigatoni Amatriciana as my entree each time I go - because they're consistently amazing. The service is always warm and friendly, and I also love the music playlist they play. Believe the hype & come to Tonino!!

However, I don't know that it lived up to the hype that I anticipated. We got the pizza Bianca with ricotta with hot honey, which was basically just like plain toasted focaccia and ricotta (wasn't anything to write home about). The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese. Once it arrived, it was like a verrrrrry strong/stinky Brie on the inside. The balsamic didn't really contribute to the taste at all. Sad that we didn't like this/kinda made me feel yucky after eating. The cavatelli was very good- nice light creamy sauce with the sausage and bitter broccolini. Very well balanced. Forgot to take a pic of the tiramisu but it was good, too! It's kinda salty (they add sea salt to the top). Drink menu was limited. Had two different glasses of red wine but wish they had something more full bodied on the menu!

You had me at Spiced Carrot Soup!…read more Jinny's Pizzeria located in Newton Centre and steps away from where I work is the place to be. With excellent pizza, service and a great cocktail and wine menu, everything they offer is excellent. We have been only a few times mainly because this place gets so jam packed that it is hard to get a table. Small, quaint and cute neightborhood gem. You can tell all the locals flock to this place every weekend. The bar is also perfect to grab a quick bite and it is first come first serve. Move over Tatte because this Spiced Carrot Soup was phenomenal. And, I mean it. From asking the owner to "how do I make this at home" to practically wanting to order another bowl. And, don't get me started on their homemade foccacia bread that came with it. Every dunk of this bread into the luscious soup had me craving more and more. Best part, I was actually full. Hallelujah! All I have to say is head to Jinny's for their pizza, but don't forget they have a whole menu to choose from as well. And, everything tastes great and is nice and fresh. You will definitely stay awhile eating and drinking here at this cozy spot. Cheers~

One of the very best pizza spots in and around Newton!…read more The dough is amazing. It's soft and pillowy, just how I like my crust. Everything is fired in a wood oven, that you can get a full view of in the open concept kitchen. Seating is pretty limited, but in the summer there are a few outdoor tables. It's a great spot for take out as well, although parking can be a challenge at peak times. The pizza is a smaller size and runs north of $20. It's worth it, but more for the artisan pizza taste and quality. This likely isn't the place you're going to buy 10 pizzas for the SuperBowl, but if you're looking for high quality ingredients and the perfect dough, this is your spot. The available specialty pizzas are great combinations of flavors. I think they even do one with pineapple, as controversial as that is for some people. I saw the Rosso Pie online, but not on the menu when I went to dine-in. The friendly waiter was more than happy to request it for me from the kitchen. Sometimes I like a pie with no cheese on it. Difficult to find great pizza in MA, but this place fits the bill. Great pizza, great people.
