First timer here!!! Ohhhh boy is this going to be a good review. Ernie and Melissa are the owners, and they couldn't be better people!!! Often, they are bombarded with crazy Boston College kids, but we all love them!!! Let me tell you. Nothing hits better than a nice big ol' slice of pizza after a night out and I don't know why I have not come here before!! HIGHLY recommend for a yummy slice, along with their fire calzone. Crazy dough pizza is a BC classic and staple. They have a large selection of pizza and by now I've probably had half of them and they have mostly been amazing. The staff are very nice, they just take a bit of a while to make, but that is partially on me because I don't order ahead. The pizza I got had pepperoni and mushrooms. It was a small and was basically enough for my friend and I. The structural integrity of the pizza was pretty good, something a lot of places get weak. The sauce is good and proportion of toppings. The garlic knots are also soooo good. So garlicky and the marinara sauce with it is delicious as well. Have ordered a bunch and will continue to do so. read more

We got two personal pizzas with the Uber BOGO free deal and garlic knots. The dough was chewy, the sauce was pretty bland, and the toppings didn't come together very well. Also it was very filling surprisingly. The garlic knots are HUGE, which was disappointing because the garlic parmesan topping covered less surface area and you only only three of them. Ordered an Italian sub got some kind of chicken crap that barely had any meat, didn't bother to try it because it looked disgusting. The crust here is a bit thin and tough for my taste. Did the gluten over-develop? I preferred the Potato Bacon Cheddar to the Eggplant Roasted Red Pepper. The bbq chicken calzone was stuffed full and had a tasty sprinkling of parmesan on top. It was served with your choice of dipping sauces - I went with the marinara. Service was friendly enough, but if they were more organized, they'd have put the calzone in the oven first. My pizzas were out and sitting there for several minutes while waiting for the calzone go rotate and bake a few more rounds. I ordered subs from Crazy Doughs. All were mediocre. The chicken on the chicken parm sub is frozen from a bag. I called the restaurant that night and two employees confirmed it's frozen from a bag. An employee offered a refund of $6 which was less than the price of one sandwich. The order ended up in my trash. read more

Went to pick up my order, and had to point out that my salad was missing an ingredient. While finishing it, the employee was not wearing her mask. The air was not on in the building, and being a summer day, she was visibly sweating. With cooked food, I might be able to ignore this, but not with a salad. I was admittedly uncomfortable asking her to remake the entire salad with a mask on, and instead ended up throwing the salad away and getting food elsewhere. On top of mandating masks, management really should ensure there is some kind of air circulation in the building. read more

Awesome thin crust pizza! The margarita pizza is my go to, garlic knots are nice snacks and salads are always fresh. The wraps and subs are great too. They have a little outside seating area for the nice days! I live next door so feel very fortunate to have this place close by. read more

Quickly cooked/ready for pickup, decent pizza. One of our pizzas was incorrect but they made us a replacement free of charge.

Their dough really is the best. It truly makes the pizza (which comes out super quick btw) and you've got to order the garlic knots as well if you want more of that tasty, perfect bread. The best thing on the menu (other than the garlic knots maybe) is definitely the wings. Meaty, spicy, delicious, you'll easily finish a 10 buy yourself so opt for a 20 if you're a sharing. Service can be slowish (20-30min) sometimes (it's usually run by local BC students) but they're always really nice and the food is amazing and hot when it comes out! read more

Pizza is alright if a bit stale. The service is very slow and slightly inept. The cashier spent two minutes finishing their story with the cook before serving the line of customers during lunch hours. Anything other than pizza takes very long to cook. Don't expect your sides to come out at the same time as your main entree. If you've decided to dine in, make sure you remind the folks up front of your order multiple times. It's likely that they'll forget. They don't give receipts, so memorize your order. read more

Do you like salt? And do you like uncooked dough? If you answered yes to both questions, then I have THE PIZZA PLACE FOR YOU! I must have drank a gallon of water after eating at the Crazy Dough's by Boston College. Everything, from their pizza to their garlic knots, was undercooked. Which meant that I had to really like chewy dough. And everything was so heavily salted that the undercooked dough tasted delicious! It was a strange experience eating something that you knew shouldn't be good, taste good because there was so much salt on it. Definitely skip this location unless you're high as a kite, drunk as a skunk, or just stupid like my family was last night. Pro tip: BC students get a 15% discount, so make sure that if you don't bother listening to my advice, at least save yourself a few bucks. read more

I have been to Crazy Doughs probably about five times now. Today, I went and got one roast beef slice and one balsamic glaze slice. It is now 3am and I have been running to the bathroom all night. This means that 20% of the times I have been to this location I have gotten ill from the food. I'm not looking forward to running all of my errands tomorrow. I'm a student on a budget and I probably only get take out twice a week. It sucks that ones of the only times I will be getting take out I had to get sick from it. My stomach is quite strong and I rarely get stomach sick. I will probably skip this place for a while until I forget about this incident. I think it was the roast beef slice. Previously, I would have given this place 3-3.5 stars. The pizza is a little overpriced in my opinion and I've had snappy delivery drivers complain about using Grubhub to order. If you don't like their business model, don't allow people to order there, and definitely don't complain when you show up with my pizza. Now, however, I can't hate on their deal; $6 for two slices and a drink -- easily the cheapest fulfilling meal around BC. GARLIC KNOTS. That's really all you need to know, because Crazy Dough's garlic knots are incredible. And cheap! I get 2 orders of them for $3 because then I won't be so sad when I chomp down the first order in the first 6 minutes they're in my house. They're also surprisingly good straight out of the refrigerator. Also. ONLINE ORDERING. I cannot stress how much I love online ordering. It makes everything better. So, I order my pizza and garlic knots online and they're at my door 30 minutes later. Perfect. The pizza's pretty awesome too. You can be as simple or as fancy as you want. I recently came up with the combo of meatballs, oven-roasted tomatoes, and artichoke hearts and I'm pretty sure that's all I want to eat ever. Whole wheat crust is also available, and you can pick between brick oven or fire-grilled. Awesome! I came here for lunch because it was convenient. You can order online so you don't have to wait for your specialty pizza orders. The sauce has good flavor, they have a zillion specialty pizzas, toppings, and menu options like wings etc. They're also pretty reasonably priced. Better- they have a 2 slice plus soda special which would be a perfect and filling meal for $6. I"m sure this place will do well with the BC crowd. read more

Stopped in here today for lunch. I'd seen it being renovated the last few months when stopping in to El Pelon, and boy, do they have some competition now. The Sicilian slices are amazing and very original stylings. I had a balsamic ricotta and something else slice at the recommendation of the girl working the counter and I'm glad I listened. I never would have tried it but next time I go there I'll be having it again. The place is extremely modern and clean, makes you feel comfortable sitting down to eat. And as the previous reviewer said the views from the tables outside are nothing to gloat about, it is still nice to have the option to go outside in such a tightly packed area. It is pricey though, two Sicilian slices and a drink ran ten bucks, so it's not your average low cost pizza place, but their regular slices are less expensive. Everyone was very friendly, as mentioned the girl at the counter could not have been nicer and the whole experience will definitely bring me back when I want some high quality pizza (bye-bye Domino's). read more

Growing up around all the mom and pop pizza places here and realizing how crappy franchises like Papa Ginos and Pizza Hut were as I got older, I was very skeptical of this place with the stupid franchisey name. Although I had long wondered why a pizza place never attempted to set up shop in the shadow of BC, I had always hoped for an independent one. Although as I've gotten older I don't eat as much pizza, I have to report that this place is not bad at all. Plenty of creative slice options always on hand. Also like the option for wheat crust and different types of sauce. Overall not as greasy as many places too, which is good. My only wish is that they could be open later than 11pm on the weekends to satisfy those midnight cravings. read more

Best pizza I've had in Boston! I am 1) a foodie and 2) Italian-American, and this beats out any other place hands-down. Their pizza has an amazing crust that is perfectly baked in a brick oven and their ingredients are fresh and high quality. Definitely try some of their specialties- the chipotle chicken bbq is the perfect combo of spicy and sweet and bursting with flavor. I've also had their balsamic ricotta pizza which is delicious. Their customer service is excellent as well, which is rare these days. 100% recommend! read more

I've been working on BC's campus for a while, but have never managed to make my way over to Crazy Dough's for lunch. Today, I decided it was time to try the Pizza. I have slowly been trying all of the Pizza places near campus (during lunches) in an attempt to find my favorite one. The actual restaurant is clean and nice-looking on the inside. I was greeted as I walked up to the counter, and I asked the cashier what deals they had, and generally what people liked (pizza-wise). He recommended either a personal pie or a few slices, and said that they had a special with a free soda. I ended up grabbing a personal bbq chicken pizza, and got 15% off because of my BC ID. It took like ten minutes (like he said) for the pizza to be ready for me to take. It came in a little box, and reminded me a bit of a CPK pizza. Overall, it was a good pizza with great sauce, the crust was a bit crispy for me though. UPDATE: I've gone back a number of times, and just had their regular (not personal) slices, which I like a lot. The price is definitely the best for a few slices (especially w/ BC ID) if you compare it to Pino's or any of the other popular pizza places near campus. read more

Something definitely changed within the last year ... I remember having crazy doughs BBQ chicken pizza last summer and was blown away at how awesome it wAs. Ordered a meat lovers , buffalo chicken pizza and Caesar salad tonight and was extremely disappointed. The delivery took roughly 50minutes which ok , I get it it's a Friday night but the pizza was luke warm at best. The meat lovers pizza tasted like it came out of a stop and shop frozen pizza box, it was blah. It wasn't crunchy or crispy , which are two big disappointments. Then the Caesar salad... It was huge with only one tiny dressing cup (which isn't the end of the world but still need some dressing on your salad) I took a big ole first bite and as I chewed I had the feeling of chewing dirt particles between my teeth. It was absolutely disgusting . I don't if the lettuce was dirty ? I honestly can't think of what else could have given the gritty feeling between my teeth. Sadly, the Caesar went to waste and my favorite food of pizza deeply disappointed me tonight. There are many options in Brighton for great pizza and sadly crazy dough is no longer one of them. read more

We just got a menu in the mail today so we figured why not try it out. Got the Magarita small pizza with a wheat crust, added some feta, and fresh garlic. omigosh.. SO good.
