I was on my way home from work and didn't feel like cooking in this heatwave. I pass by Curry Pizza House (on Alcosta) every day on my way home from work and decided to try it. I am now a fan! At the suggestion of Obed (a delightful employee here), I ordered the Butter Chicken pizza and threw in cilantro and green onion, and OMG, this is now my go-to pizza. They have a good selection of beer from India and they also have a few Firestone draft beer selections. The pizza crust was perfect, the chicken tender and the butter sauce was a tad bit spicy but flavorful. I usually like to dip my pizza in Ranch or put parmesan cheese on top. Just discovered this hidden gem of a pizza place! They serve classic pizzas as well as unique curry pizzas, which really sets them apart from typical pizza restaurants. When we visited, there were large groups dining in, customers coming in for takeout, and new guests arriving for dinner. It definitely gave us the feeling that this place is popular -- and it must be good LOL Despite the busy atmosphere, the service was still attentive and friendly. We felt so welcomed! Went for lunch on a Friday. Plenty of empty tables, but it looks like they do a brisk take out business. We split a medium curry chicken masala pizza. It was tasty, but not as saucy as I thought it would be. I'm new to this Indian/pizza fusion concept, so I'm not sure if this is typical or not. It only took 15 minutes for our Meat Lover's pizza: Red Sauce, Cheese, Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, Sausage, and Beef and Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad: Lettuce, seasoned croutons, Parmesan cheese and caesar dressing and spicy chicken. The pizza was good. I'd go back for the pizza. The chicken in the salad was spicy and moist. It would be better with a homemade dressing but it was quick. Tried this restaurant for the first time today 1/28/26 after needing to use the restroom in a emergency , and the lady was so kind, and very welcoming i decided to order pizza and salad, traditional combo with white garlic sauce, also requested to cook a little longer because i dont like doughy soft crust, the lady said she could do it , but it cooks real nice and thourough regularly, and Boy was she right! The experience I had was amazing the service top tier, insane, the workers care so much about you having an enjoyable time with you and your food. Great people and great heart you can tell they care so much, honestly one of the best most down to earth restaurant in the area. The crust is crispy and fluffy at the same time. The wings and chicken on the pizza are cooked but perfectly tenders And the meat lovers is generous and balanced. Nothing is greasy. We've lived around the corner since they've opened, first time we've tired. If you like great pizza go there! The staff are so friendly! The food amazing! First a funny'ish story: As I was paying, I asked if the guy gave me a discount. To me, I thought it was inexpensive. The guy thought I was asking for a discount. He said, "you didn't ask me for one." I told him, "No. I'm not complaining. I'm happy!" The pizza was good. Not the best pizza in the world, but definitely above average. Ate there. It was very quiet. We were literally the only people dining in over 2 hours. My only minor complaint is that it was very cold inside. I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN. The cashier who was working tonight was so unbelievably rude, my blood was boiling and I ended up going off on him! Prior to this terrible encounter.. I was having such a wonderful Sunday night watching the Niners game with my family, and my husband suggested we eat pizza for dinner. I've been wanting to try Curry Pizza House for the longest time cause I've never tried Indian Pizza before, and decided to order from here. Well, that was a mistake! The moment I walked in, the cashier's demeanor and body language was so off-putting (I posted his photo). His shoulders were shrugged, he had both hands on the counter, and his face looked upset & annoyed. I disregarded his nasty aura and told him I was there to pick-up my takeout order. He rudely asked me for my name and I told him Kat. He went to the back and looked at the pizza boxes and rudely told me, "THERES NO KAT." There was a man standing behind me and before even giving me a chance to respond, he asked the guy behind me "What's your name?" Once he was done with that guy, I showed him my order confirmation & email from YELP (that's where I ordered from) and told him that my order was confirmed. He didn't even bother looking at my screen, but looked me straight in the eyes with his demonic looking face and said "Maybe you ordered from somewhere else. Not here." Confused, I rhetorically asked him "oh you have other locations??" (I also just moved from Los Angeles not too long ago so im not too familiar with the East Bay) And he responded rudely "Of course we do... what do you think? We don't have your order so you probably ordered from somewhere else!" At that point.. I was so done dealing with his ridiculousness, I ended up going off on him. I pulled out my phone and took a few photos of him before he decided to turn around, and I told him I'd be writing a YELP review about him and how rude he was. I ended up storming out of the restaurant and as I was backing out of my parking space... I could see him walking out of the restaurant & approaching my car. He walks up to my window and tells me "I called the owner & the owner said to pick up your pizza." (Huh?? What does that even mean?) Honestly, I felt threatened by him and the fact that he so closely approached my car... and TBH with you I didnt know what his intentions were approaching me like that. I like Curry Pizza House and is my go to Indian Pizza restaurant. Ordering is quick and simple and usually ready for pick up in 30 minutes. I've been several times but have never seen any one dining in. I did run into fellow elite friend Steve T. there once. Plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant.
