Curry Ya is located in the Cheongdam Food Hall. I came specifically to try the beef gyudon bowl after seeing a post on social media. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Customer service was great. The bowl was $10.95 and it comes with a miso soup and cabbage salad as well. The beef was cooked with onions and served with a side of pickled ginger on top of a generous portion of rice. The beef was tasty and I really liked the ginger. The sauce on the cabbage salad was really good. Overall this meal is so worth it for the price! I would get it again.
We came for lunch and I had the Beef Gyudon meal that came w soup and salad. husband had the ramen next to it, I'm a fan of gyudon and honestly had made it at home multiple times but we were in the area and I saw a video on line that this was like $11 and you get salad on side and soup so why not seemed like a good deal. Place wasn't too busy when we came, service was good the guy who took my order was friendly and helpful. Food came out probably less than two minutes,I really enjoyed the cabbage salad w the sesame dressing, soup was ok and the gyudon beef it self was good only think I would say there was too much rice on the bowl less beef. Other wise everything was good I mean it is only $11 for all so I guess I can't complain too much ambiance? Well it is a food hall so it can get crowded,seatings are pretty close to each other,parking can be tough and place can get loud.
Curry Ya is located in the Cheongdam Food Hall. They menu caught my wife's attention. I know curry is in their name, but, she liked the ramen on their menu even though there is a ramen spot in the next stall over. The price was very reasonable, cheaper than ramen in California. After ordering, they brought our food out to us at our table. She liked here spicy ramen and gyoza. It's a good place. We will have to come back and maybe get something that is in their name.
Curry is in Cheongdom Hall. They serve Japanese curry, udon and appetizers. I love to order the Japanese pork Katsu level one which is a medium spicy level with scrambled egg topping. This is a full meal because it comes with miso soup and a shredded salad. After you order, you find a seat and they will bring it to your table. This has consistently been the best Japanese curry I have had ever.
Amazing value for their curry here for the price. The curry comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. Full meal for under $15? Yes, please! Curry Ya seems to be one of the busier eateries here, which makes sense. They are mostly quick, and the portions are very generous for the price. At least the curries are. The udons might be a different story. We got here before they open, so before 11am and got a table. By the time we left around noon, the place filled up so fast that people were waiting for tables. They have different spice levels. Heard their regular had some spice, and since I like spicy, I got their level 3. Surprisingly it wasn't spicy (to me). Will try the one beyond that if available next time. We got chicken curry and chicken katsu curry. Chicken itself was a bit dry, but the curry really helped. It was pretty standard Japanese curry, similar to those blocks you buy and make your own curry, but higher rating for the value here. The miso soup and salad were good and went well with the saltiness of the curry. Well lit area too, so no prob if you're able to get a table. We also got their takoyaki and fries. The fries were a bit sad, but takoyaki was standard / good.
Curry Ya is one of the many curry spots sprouting around Las Vegas and is located inside the Cheongdam Food Hall. Inside, you'll see that there are plenty of seating. But since it's shared with all the neighboring restaurants, it could get pretty limited when it's busy. Service is quick and friendly as you just order at the counter, take your number, and have a seat. Once your food is ready, it would be brought out. I came to eat here when they first opened and ordered the Japanese Pork Katsu Curry. The portions are pretty big and for the price, it's a good deal since it comes with salad and miso soup on the side. There isn't anything that stands out otherwise with the flavor, so it's not a bad option to visit whenever you're craving katsu curry and in the area without venturing too southwest or into Chinatown. However, my 2nd visit was where my main complaints are. I was starving and craving curry on my way home from work, so I decided to order takeout. It didn't take long for it to be ready for pick up. But you can only imagine how disappointed and frustrated I was to find that half the miso soup actually spilled onto my fabric seat and soaked through. When I took it out, the lid was still on completely but because it's made of FLIMSY plastic (even flimsier due to the heat of the soup) over a paper cup, it leaked out. Furthermore, there was a piece of hair stuck to the lid of my salad. Although it's not IN the salad, when the lid is closed, it is touching said salad. Please invest in better to-go containers to avoid this possibly happening again to other unlucky patrons as well as making sure hair isn't falling out onto customers' food.
Portion and the quality of the curry was spot on here at Curry Ya. Not sure if they're associated with Curry Ya in Osaka. Japan, but the taste is very similar. Be careful with the curry udon. It comes out piping hot and took about 10-15 mins to cool down before we could eat it. Only "concern" we had was that our curry didn't come with any red fukujin pickles.
Cool space inside new Cheongdam food hall and solid food but nothing overwhelmingly great? Curry was ok, pork cutlet and fried shrimp were ok but wowww great price!! Comes with soup and salad to boot and really loved the friendly service from staff!! FYI didn't see it get a chance to try pickled ginger but the pickled radish was great!!
Located in the Cheongdam food hall, this Japanese eatery has some of the most scrumptious curry dishes I've ever tasted. This place can get pretty packed, so we decided to find a table first before ordering our food. All of the menu items are very affordable, especially for the amount of food you'll be receiving. The cashier was so friendly and helpful which made the experience run very smoothly. It took about 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive to our table and everything was so piping hot. My husband and I both ordered the Organic Chicken Katsu Curry which came with a side of cabbage salad and miso soup. We chose the medium heat for our curries spice level which paired perfectly with the crispy fried chicken and steamy white rice. The curry has such a rich and savory flavor which made my tastebuds do a little happy dance. All of the food was absolutely delicious, seasoned very well and served so beautifully. We'll definitely be back to try out some of the other dishes we were eyeing on their menu.

It was my 1st time at the food hall which was a long time coming. I couldn't decide what to eat but I chose Curry Ya. I ordered the pork gyoza and the pork katsu curry with regular spice. You can pick your spice level which is a good option to have. I also got a jasmine green tea. The cashier was very nice and patient with me. I like that you get a table tag so they can deliver the food to your table. The gyoza was steaming hot, as it should be and very tasty. The pork katsu came with a miso soup and a shredded cabbage/ lettuce salad with a ginger dressing. By the way, I didn't know it came with these items. I highly enjoyed the salad, the ginger dressing was delicious. The miso soup was good too. Let's get to the pork katsu curry. My only complain is the lack of meat. You get a lot of rice and plenty of curry sauce but not enough meat. To top it off, the meat is so crispy and tender, it leaves you wanting more. Overall, I very much enjoyed my meal. I can't wait to return and explore more of the food hall options. read more

Was slumming (not really) thru summerlin today visited the Macy's, Dillard plaza and purchased some boots at boot barn (review coming) and was feeling a bit hungry... Did not want to fight the crowds at all the places up here, so drove down to upper Spring Mountain to the Cheungdon food hall at Spring Mountain and Durango got there around 1:30, the parking lot was full, took awhile to get a spot. The place was hopping.... Must have been family day because there were what appeared to be many multigenerational families enjoying lunch. That's a good thing, better than an outing to KFC or McD's IMHO. Anyway, ordered the pork katsu curry at $11.95 and gyoza at $4.95. service was quick in spite of the crowds. The curry counter seemed the busiest to me. Although Shota sushi was busy too. My curry was a pretty large portion of steamed and slightly sticky rice(easy to use chopsticks) , a generous portion of curry and a nice crispy pork katsu. It came with a small bowl of miso soup and a little shredded cabbage salad. Pretty darn good and quite filling. The gyoza, five deep fried .... I prefer steamed and lightly fried but these were good. All in all, a pretty good meal. On the way out stopped in at the little grab and go market and perused the vast selection of onigiri, complete meals and rice bowls. They also have a ramen station where you pick ur ramen packet (starting at $3.95) and put it in the bowl and they have a hot water cooking station set up to heat it right there... Pretty authentic tasting curry at a really great price point. My mistake was getting Level 2, thinking I can handle the 'heat'. Boy, it was pretty spicy! lol I've been here twice and i both times i've ordered the fried tofu with the curry. It disappointing that both times, the tofu was extra hard and rubbery. I'm not really sure if it's previously frozen and heated up or if they just over cook it. The rice portion is big, which is good for us Asians, but I swear it's day old rice. I haven't had fresh rice yet, maybe it's the time I go, but I'll try again, The salad is that comes with the curry is good. I'm the only one that eats it in my family, so it's a plus when they don't want theirs. Tried the chicken karage , Takoyaki and gyoza also. They were okay. Just the norm from all the other places that has those appetizers. The lady that brought my son's katsu curry the first time we went, stuck her thumb into the curry by accident. (She was wearing gloves.) She apologized and got him a new one within a minute. She came back with a new plate so fast, I wondered if she took another person's order and gave it to us or if the kitchen worked super speed to make my son a new plate. read more
First time at the Cheongdam Food Hall. I wanted to try Curry Ya for some Japanese Pork Katsu. I also ordered some Pork Gyoza. I did order it to go but the staff were still very friendly, and my order was packaged up with everything I needed to enjoy my meal at home. The counter had plenty of snacks and prepackaged dessert options and everything looked very clean. The overall ambience of the food hall is great with lots of seating and a bustling excited commotion that only a food hall can bring. The Gyoza was perfect. Flavorful and cooked just right, not too oily. Came with dipping sauce but I didn't try it. The curry was delicious. Some of the best I've had. The rice was also cooked perfectly. The cut of pork I had was full of gristle, so it was difficult to actually eat. I'll say maybe just a bad cut of meat, not holding that against the restaurant. It was cooked beautifully. It came with a salad and miso soup as well. The flavors were all great and reasonably priced for a very filling meal. Came here for some dinner and picked curry udon as my entree. Loved it! The flavor was delicious! The bowl looks small but it's super deep and there's plenty of noodles in there. We also ordered takoyaki balls and chicken karaage .. takoyaki has a really good flavor to it! Plenty of filling. Karaage was crunchy and went well dipped into the curry. Service was good.. you order from the counter and they bring the food out to your table. The ambience here is food hall style of course.. order at whatever counter you like and get a number and pick a table and they'll bring it out to you Definitely will visit this food hall again. read more
I recently found out about this food hall/food court in what was once a Fresh and Easy grocery store. The hall recently opened and it has several kinds oif food in one compact space--Japanese, Korean, Mexican, sushi, ice cream, and a coffee/brunch spot. I had only had Japanese curry once before in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. Imagine my delight when I learned of this food hall and Curry Ya. (Thanks, Ari). It was a must try. During the 4th quarter of the Raider's game, I went thinking people would be home watching the game like they're supposed to be. No. Everyone was here. At least, to show how busy the hall was, I got the last parking spot available. I went in and found Curry Ya quickly since the hall is not that large a space. I ordered pork katsu curry, spice level 2 which is the second spiciest. After paying, I was given a number to put on my table. I found a two top and put the number on the table. I then watched the score of the game on my phone until almost the end. There are no TVs here which is good. A server arrives with a wooden serving tray and takes your dishes off the tray and puts them on your table. With the pork katsu came a side salad with yuzu dressing and a small bowl of miso soup. The rice with the katsu is served room temperature, not hot like you might expect. The runner will bring some napkins, a plastic spoon, and wrapped chopsticks. From there, it's dig in. The curry was spicy and I thought I should have gotten a level spicier, but as I was finishing, the spice was working its wonders and I knew i had gotten the correct spiciness. I enjoyed the pork katsu and it reminded me of my dinner in Los Angeles. This is an interesting food hall, and I'll be back to try the other outlets. Such good food!! read more

I love a good meal for a steal and I was able to get that at Curry Ya! Located inside Cheongdam food hall which opened very recently, it can't be missed and as I walked around, I noticed most tables had ordered at least one curry. The price starts around $10-11 for a dish and then they do charge for add ons. The tonkatsu (pork cutlet) was thick, juicy and fresh. It also included a salad and miso soup on the side. We also ordered an udon and another katsu curry. Orders are brought to the table as they are ready so they don't all come at once. Ordering was quick and easy as well. Tables in the food hall are clean and there's quite a bit of seating available but not to the point of being overwhelming or feeling empty. They also have water machines with pebble ice available for use for customers as well. I didn't know what to expect but I was honestly satisfied and will be back to try more things and other items in the food hall! read more

Trying out Curry ya today for the second time. In the Cheongdam foodhall on the corner of spring mountain & Durango. Lots of places to try here, but I liked Curry ya so much I came to get some more before trying anything else. I got the organic chicken katsu. It comes with a side of cabbage salad and miso soup for $14. So delicious, just what I was craving. If you're looking for some excellent Japanese curry, this is the spot. read more

Located in the new Cheongdam Food Hall at Durango and Spring Mountain. You wouldn't believe this location use to be a Rite-Aid and a Fresh and Easy grocery store. Plenty of parking. Went for take out around 11:30. Menu is pretty straight-forward and the portions are a good value! Had the regular chicken (boiled) curry. Came with miso soup and a cabbage side salad. The curry was a little thick and just had chicken. My suggestion for Curry Ya would be to add some carrots or some other form of vegetables. Nonetheless it was pretty tasty and definitely worth the $10.95 price tag. read more

We stopped by Curry-Ya, located inside the Cheongsam Food Hall for a quick bite. This food hall is what Sundry should have been and while it's not large, they had a decent selection. First time here and was met by an amazing staff at the stall. They made sure we knew our options and as you can see, the food looks great with fairly large portions for the price point. It is safe to say I was very impressed. As for the taste, it's very delicious and well worth the trip. The next time I'm there, I'll have to try another spot. read more

Curry ya can be found inside the cheongdam food hall. Pretty good katsu curry! Comes with rice, cabbage salad and a side of soup. Ordered the cheese katsu set. I would just order the regular katsu. The cheese didnt do much. Did not come with the usual pickled radish so I had to ask to which the cashier answered that they only give when asked when a person orders. I did not see any indication of that in the menu. She gave me a good serving though! Overall pretty good. read more
I've been to Curry-Ya multiple times so this review covers all my previous visits which shows consistency in my experiences. I usually bring leftovers for my work lunch but when I'm out of the office for lunch, I always seem to head for Cheongdam Food Hall. Curry-Ya's kake udon is perfect for me as a delicious, light-ish and budget-friendly lunch. I've also added the karaage and fried oysters on occasion which are both just as delicious and fresh. Service is always fast and friendly. My very first order here was the Curry udon which I also really liked, but just a little heavier as a work lunch for me (I did take the rest home and it reheated very well the next day). I was served by Kayden, and he was very friendly. I got the ribeye steak curry. The steak is very thin and there's literally no sear, but the interior was cooked a pretty nice medium/medium-rare. The curry was slightly too salty, but the flavor was good. The medium spicy was the right level of spice for someone who likes slightly spicy. It came with a sesame dressing salad and miso soup that I enjoyed. read more

The cashier and server Kayden was phenomenal! He was extremely informative about the difference in chicken curries. I was extremely impressed with the takoyaki, as I'd normally make my own at home. This is our second time in two weeks going here. Food and service was great. There are choices if you dont eat beef or meat. We have tried the Tofu Katsu, Chicken Katsu as well as Kake Udon and Beef Udon. Price is reasonable and fair for the food, service you get here at Curry Ya and the whole Cheongdam Food Hall! read more

I'm originally from Hawaii, where we have amazing Japanese food, esp Japanese curry. It took awhile to find my favorite Japanese curry spot here in Vegas and I gotta say Curry Ya always hits the spot. They also make a really good Gyudon, chicken karaage, takoyaki, and every rice dish comes with unlimited salad and miso soup! I love this place! We're here every week since they opened the 1st location and now always the 2nd location cause it's closer to home. read more

Tried cheongdam food hall on a Monday night around 9pm. Pretty steady customer flow but not busy. Gave off mall food court vibes... but elevated? You order at the counter, receive a number and sit at your preferred table. People bus and serve your food. Very laid back but still gave a sit down restaurant vibe- even though it's not. The appetizer portions are average, maybe a little small, but very reasonably priced. The gyoza was not traditional- with clear noddles in the meat filling, but very good. My daughter had the takoyaki and practically licked the plate. For entrees we had pork katsu curry and beef udon. The curry was a compete set with miso soup and sesame shredded cabbage salad. The portion was huge and priced at $12. The curry is plain with no vegetables. The size of the pork katsu was on the small side, but at the price point you can't beat it. The beef udon was very good. I really liked the idea of a reason prices food hall to grab a casual meal that won't break the bank. Hope they do well! read more
