What a fabulous dining experience we had at Cuts in Downtown Atlanta during market week-a very busy week for the restaurant. We had a large party and were waited on by Najee and Leilani and they were both fabulous! Attentive, Honest, Quick and a nice addition to our great dinner. Wow, what an experience! We picked Cuts for our yearly (15 years) family Christmas dinner location. We have tried many steakhouse's in Atlanta, but this may be the best steak so far. AMAZING from start to finish! Made a reservation for 4 on a Friday night. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary with another couple who shares our wedding date! As we walked in, the hostess greeted us right away and we were taken to our table within minutes. Our server (I don't remember her name) came over and asked if we were celebrating anything and when we told her, she offered us the choice of a complimentary glass of champagne or complimentary dessert. My hubby and I opted for the champagne and our friends choose the dessert. We ordered appetizers, entree, drinks and dessert and everything was perfectly timed. Our server was being assisted by Leilani (I remember her name because it is the same as my daughters) and she was always there to remove the used plates and ask if we needed anything additional. The two of them made a dream team of exceptional service with smiles. I ordered a wedge, surf & turf, and crème brûlée. I ate every single bite of everything I ordered and it was all perfectly cooked and seasoned. We all had steaks for entrees - some with blue cheese, one accompanied by a fried lobster tail, others with asparagus, Mac and cheese, or just fries. Three of the four steaks were cooked to temp - the other was a complete miss - just about raw even though it was ordered medium rare. It took a while to flag down the server to get it actually cooked to temp - so long that everyone else was done eating. Next time, I would pick a different restaurant. Good. Planned my 26th birthday dinner here and it was truly a wonderful experience. My party and I were treated so warmly and felt incredibly welcomed by our server Samuel. The menu in my opinion has a diverse array of options in both tastes and prices which is great for those who are hoping to expand the palette. The drinks were rather strong, with the blueberry lemon drop being my favorite. I had the lamb shank and the meat was so tender it fell off the bone with no effort. I will say the lighting is a bit dim if you're hoping for pictures, especially as they have the no flash photography rule, but if you ask your server nicely they may look the other way. One of my friends had a birthday dinner here on a Sunday night. I'd never been but drove by frequently, so I was excited to try out Cuts...especially since I was in the mood for a good steak. Three of us arrived early and couldn't be seated until at least half the party was there. People were late, so we had to wait quite a while in the entry area which was HOT! There either isn't any air up there or it was broken, but it was hotter in the entryway than outside. Luckily, there was a small desk fan that the hostesses were generous enough to share, so that was sweet of them. The rest of the party finally arrived, so we were seated. Our entire table ordered drinks and I went for the whisky sour which was solid. Some people ordered appetizers like the bourbon glazed bacon and spinach dip, and it seemed they generally liked them. For entrees, most of us got steaks. I opted for the Cuts ribeye which is marinated in tropical juices and served with mashed potatoes. I also ordered a half wedge salad to come out first. The wedge salad was reallyyyy good! I should've omitted the blue cheese crumbles though. My steak came out and looked really good; however, when I cut into it, it was nowhere near the medium rare temp that I ordered. It was more medium well. So I told the server and she took it back and had another made. The second steak came out and appeared to be cooked to medium/medium rare, but it was a medium rare that I'd never seen before. So at that point, I just kept it because I was hungry and over it. To be a steakhouse, I was really surprised at how poorly the steaks were cooked. As for taste, I enjoyed the tropical juice marinade, but the steak wasn't as tender as I wished it would've been. The mashed potatoes were cool though. Overall, this was underwhelming. The service was A1, but the food missed the mark. I expected better, especially for the price. Another thing to note: attire is business casual. And while they communicate that over the phone and on their website, they don't really enforce it. Some people who were dining had on everything but business casual. But I look good and was dressed nicely, so it is what it is lol. read more

The jumbo lump crab cake was definitely not jumbo and costs $20 for the one small crab cake. One of the guest received theirs cold smh which was even more of a disappointment. The lamb chops where extremely small in comparison to other restaurants and again very expensive. The salmon and shrimp and grits were good but just very small portions. You do not get your money's worth here. My Queens Gambit drink was good though. If I return it would probably be only for the drinks unfortunately. read more

Honestly if you're looking for a great steakhouse stay far away from cuts. This was the most expensive but the most mediocre food I've had in a long time. The sides were very small portions especially composted to other steak houses such as little alley, and the steak was not work the price. You can find better quality steak for the same or slightly cheaper at other steak houses. I had the prime ny strip & was highly dissociated in the quality and flavor profile. The creamed spinach and the mash potatoes outside of being small portions had no flavor as well, matter of fact the mash potatoes reminded me of what you would get at your college cafeteria. The crème brûlée was also disappointing. The only good things about my experience here was the wine selection which was great the wine was fantastic and the service our young waitress was amazing! I say all this to say is try a better steak house don't waste your time here unless you like mediocre food. read more

While visiting from SF we got a list of places but we stumbled on this one and it was amazing! The service was great they were the friendliest staff in all Atlanta. Service was a 10 plus plus. My server was Janae and the cook came out to thank us. met Janae Najee Tarik who were beyond hospitable. I recommend the food also I had the ribeye in juice it was so good I didn't even need to use the side of butter I ordered. My husband had the lobster one fried and one baked and dessert the peach pie (of course being in Georgia!) our family owns restaurants so we are highly critical of how we are treated and how we felt. We felt celebrity status. They even opened doors for us. Again the staff was amazing, and gave really good recommendations they did not get annoyed with all our questions. Took a good friend here for a birthday dinner. The ambience is very nice, the service was great, and parking was not a hassle although it's located in the middle of downtown. (Parking was $7 in the parking deck located directly across the street) I ordered the Pecan Salmon and was advised by my waiter to order it medium well because he informed me that "medium" was border line a sushi platter. My friend order the ribeye and smash potato steak plate which was surprisingly a very small plate. (He is 250, 5'9). I was a little disappointed because of the serving size however it ended up being just enough. My plate of the order hand came with a healthy size serving of Salmon and smashed potatoes along with a side of Mac and cheese. Needles to say, I ended up sharing the rest of my plate with my friend. Being a local I tend to shy away from Downtown Atlanta. Oh what a hidden gem. I had no idea this place even existed. Everything I ordered on the menu was DELICIOUS. I started off with the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was a nice size and very fresh. My entree was tasty and filling. I had the 8oz filet with Mac topped with crumbled blue cheese and a side of Mac and cheese. Mushrooms were on the menu as a steak topper but I ordered them as a side. I absolutely love mushrooms so that was the icing on the cake. If you are just looking for a salad, the wedge was HUGE and from the silence at the table seemed delish. We visited the restaurant on a Friday night around 7 pm. Not terribly busy but I would recommend making reservations just in case. I wasn't impressed with the service or the food. It took 20 min to get a glass of water and the service seemed sluggish although our waiter later redeemed himself by putting our drinks on the house. For the app I tried the smoked salmon served with pickled onions and sesame crackers. The flavor was nice and smoky but the salmon was terribly overcooked. For my entree I ordered lamb rack with a side of green beans and asparagus. The sides are big enough to share and the lamb came out cooked med-rare, as requested. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing though. Some kind of flavor component that just wasn't there. We also tried apple crumble dessert a la mode. I would have preferred more crumble. It was mostly mushy apples. Overall: paid parking in a nearby garage or lot, full bar. I will not be returning. I was able to attend a birthday dinner here recently. I will note that although the dress code is mentioned it isn't necessarily enforced. They were able to accommodate our table needs. Tre and Rob were fantastic. They were welcoming, attentive and provided excellent recommendations. I purchased the NY strip and Mashed potatoes.
