Usually very friendly pharmacy, I've been coming to this CVS for about 8 years. I just had surgery 2 days ago and came to get a pain medication filled, I was going to write my address as they always ask to and I was scolded not to (as opposed to just asked not to) then promptly told they probably don't have it any anyway. Sure enough the pharmacist said they only had two tablets left which I understand happens but the lady helping me gave me the prescription back and said yeah we don't have it. Didn't apologize, didn't say I had to go to another pharmacy, just stated that they didn't have it and went back to her business. I understand sometimes there are busy days but that's no reason to take it out on the customers especially when they are in pain after open abdominal surgery. Very disappointed with this person who "helped" me. read more

Unfortunately, I live across the street from the CVS. I have to visit the store at least 3 times a week - and even though it takes 2 mins to walk here, I literally hate the thought of going here. Seriously... I'm currently standing in line and there's 5 people behind me and the one lady just dipped out for her lunch break. It's okay- I wish there were a better CVS in this area. They don't have a lot out on the shelves. I went in looking for sugar-free cough drops and sucres cough drops- and they didn't have either. Definitely, don't come here for groceries- everything is very limited. They do have the standard fare- but even the shampoo selection is minimal. Never order photos through CVS! I have never had a problem ordering and picking up photos through Wallgreens, but the two times I've done it through CVS, they didn't have the photos (at all). I thought it would be easier to download the app and order, but I think they just have a crapy system that doesn't send the orders through. It's really annoying when you want to get in and out. read more

The line's never too long here and service is typically efficient and friendly. This spot has some good sales if you have a CVS card, which is easy to obtain. Pretty standard for a convenience/drug store and is one of the best stores of its kind in the area. read more

The two ladies and the gentleman at the CVS pharmacy today literally saved my life. My whole purse was stolen over the weekend (at a Goodwill where I was shopping because I need stuff on the cheap) and I was without my Epipen and inhaler for a day before I could get my doctor to prescribe it over the phone during business hours today--while I was waiting at the DMV to replace my now stolen ID (which took 7 hours... The DMV is wild on a Monday). Because Epipens had not been covered on my bare bones health plan before, I knew that not only had my phone, wallet, and bag been stolen, but I was about to be out around $250 for a replacement Epipen because cashews are really "big" right now and I'm deathly, deathly allergic. I have no choice but to have an Epipen with me in case I'm super tired at the grocery store and forget to double check that a weird vegan drink that seems healthy enough isn't filled with cashews or pistachios or some weird, probably bad tasting combo of the two nuts. Luckily everyone at the CVS pharmacy sprung into action to make sure that I could get the generic injector (which is now covered by my plan and FREE, SWEET MOTHER OF GOD). Then, because these injectors are weirdly rare for being so damn necessary, they located a nearby CVS with a generic Epipen available and reserved it for me. After the horrible weekend and just a lot of brutal life events in general lately, I have to say that I cried with relief at CVS today and that's a new, strange, good feeling. I definitely remember the man's name was Tyrone, and the other two ladies--you know who you are. I moved to another neighborhood this weekend so you are no longer my CVS pharmacy but you'll always be with me in the form of my Epipen and many days free of worrying that I'm minutes from death. I am so frustrated with the workers at this CVS. I tried to transfer a prescription in person (after accidentally sending it to another CVS), but the pharmacist there told me that it was too late -- the prescription had already been filled. OK, my fault for sending it to the wrong CVS. I asked if I could transfer future prescriptions to this CVS, and they said that I had to go to the OTHER CVS to do that. At the other CVS, the pharmacist there told me that I had it wrong. I could only transfer my prescription in-person from the first CVS. Or, I could do it over the phone. The next month, I called into this CVS and tried to transfer the prescription before it was filled, but this time the lady was incredible rude and told me that I was "creating more work" for them since I didn't need it to be filled yet, and that I "wasn't a priority." What am I supposed to do? Why is it so hard to transfer one prescription from one CVS to another? If you have a choice, don't go to this CVS. read more

Without question one of the most incompetent, poorly managed pharmacies in all of Los Angeles. This store cannot use the virus as an excuse for poor management....as it has has always been the case. As a life time resident of the palms mar vista neighborhood poor management is not a recent development. Wait times for a simple question to check on a Rx can exceed 40 minutes. Only two people are typically working the pharmacy which in the best of times is INADEQUATE. One individual should be on the schedule daily to simply field the phone questions. Prescriptions are called as being ready and when one goes to pick it up, it is either incomplete or not ready as suggested. They have changed employees and staff more than one changes their own underwear! Get qualified personnel to assist in all departments, but pay particular attention to the Pharmacy Staff. After all you profess to be a pharmacy do you not? It's not as if CVS doesn't make lots of dollars, their CEO's make plenty. Release a few dollars and some benefits for enough qualified staff to do the job. As a successful retiree who owned, operated and hired qualified, efficient employees, I am appalled at the continual incompetence displayed by CVS, its in store managers and in particular the Pharmacy located at 3458 S. Sepulveda Blvd, store #9563. It is fortunate they don't deal in supplying blood. Now with this virus running rampant, they are totally behind in every respect. Go anywhere else even if you have to pay a bit more. It seems as if I'm not alone in my criticism! read more

This is a pretty good CVS and gets an extra star for being way faster to check out of than the CVS at National and Sepulveda. Evening staff are mostly pretty friendly. I haven't used the pharmacy so I can't comment on that. This parking lot is a disaster because of the Trader Joe's traffic so if you live close enough to walk I suggest doing that. read more

I have never had a more pleasant experience at a CVS in my whole life. I was asked - no joke - seven times if I needed help with anything, but seven different employees. They all genuinely wanted to make sure if I needed help finding anything or if I had any questions. The employees at this CVS - pharmacist and pharmacy technicians included - are so friendly that I go out of my way to go to this CVS versus any other pharmacy. It reminds me of Walmart and since there is no Walmart on the West Side, CVS is the closest thing. By the way, expect to have a leisurely paced shopping trip. I will no longer shop at CVS; too dishonest and unethical. I used to prefer CVS until I had to use my insurance with the pharmacy. The attendants and pharmacist were not bad, but this pharmacy needs better whatever, as when I had a hard time to order and pick up my medication kit to do a colonoscopy. In no moment they mentioned my deductible for pharmacy. It was my first time using such means of payment. They charged me the full amount when I should pay only 50$ to start. I cancelled everything for I decided I was not paying almost $100 dollars for a kit to do poop. I think CVS takes chances on people's ignorance about how certain things work. I rare get sick and I cannot recall when I had to pay for a medicine in any pharmacy here. I understand the pharmacy has the obligation to act with ethics and not expect patients knows how their job works. I will import my medications if I need it from now on; and I will not buy even a lipstick from CVS. read more

It's a good CVS overall. Pretty much every time I go in, people are friendly, and the pharmacy is quick. It's well-stocked and well-organized, and the location (right by a Trader Joe's, CBTL, Yumeya, and barber shop) is very convenient. The parking lot can be a bit crowded at times, but there are CVS-only spot reserved for customers. read more

After Haggens closed, I transfered all of my family's prescriptions to this CVS. I have to say it has been one of the best experiences I've had with a pharmacy. Their staff is so helpful and kind and always on the ball. They make sometimes complicated situations seem easy. I like the whole staff especially Jose, Brianne and Catherine. they go out of their way to help me and make everything easy peasy. I highly recommend them. read more

Complete incompetence. You can only transfer a prescription once at CVS from another CVS. Why the operate like this in such a vast city is known only to the CVS. In merely looking up availability, the transferred it, then said they couldn't fill it, completely screwing me over. Even in LA such magisterial incompetence is rare. read more

DO NOT GET PHOTOS PRINTED HERE. When they say "Same Day" they mean when we get ink and when the computer is up. They won't tel you of course until you come in and find out a few days later that they never printed. Then they get the most incompetent workers. They only hire the stupid and unhelpful ones to work there. If you seem at least a little bit smart with a little bit of common sense, they will not hire you. I was waiting there for over an hour just to not get what I needed for pictures for work. I am so upset and they are the WORST COMPANY EVER. They are convenient but they are the dumbest ever. I wish they would offer to pay for the 19 pictures I needed for work but of course that would require customer service and actual intelligence (even a little). WORST COMPANY AND STORE. I work for a job that keeps me on the road so when I need to use the bath room it's like life or death to me.i had just complete one of my assigned drop off when it brought me to the corner of National and Sepulveda feist place I went to was the CVS because it was closer. As a women already we have it hard when it comes time to use the bathroom. 1 We can't just pull it out and pee we are not man. 2 Sometimes we are on our monthly. 3 We carry undeveloped kids in or body all the time(our eggs) our bladder takes a beat down. So I went into the CVS and ask if I can use the bathroom I should be able to do that with out telling them the reason, like details right. Any way I got a "out of service" reply with no kind thoughts or concerns, the hey I'm a person with a lot going on. I may have had a medical condition, with child, or on my monthly like I said before. My bladder could have killed me.either CVS tell their employees to lie or the employees do it themselves. All I know is thank God for Vons the number one grocery store. no matter what they go through they are for the people. Ordered a prescription here three times before ever actually being able to pick it up. Gave them another try because I thought there was no way that could happen again. I was wrong. I had to make a second call today to try and get the prescription. Who knows if I will get it any time soon. They are the worst. read more

Been coming here for awhile now and just recently noticed the service has been going down hill. On this most recent visit, my physician called in a prescription for me and the staff told me that when dealing with the head pharmacist Sylvia she was very rude. Second, when I arrived I was told that my prescriptions were not ready although it had been 40 minutes. Finally, I was told it would take another 15 minutes to process my prescription. read more

Jose and the pharmacist, Jason F., are both terrific. I had to come in on a Saturday and my prescription had run out (earlier than according to the previous policy of my doctor's office). I needed a couple of pills over the weekend, and Jason went out of his way, taking the time to ring the doctor on call - great that there's a huge lot, you go first to the pharmacy, drop off your prescription, walk into Trader Joe's and by the time you stop back, they've got your Rx ready (this has me spoiled). Be careful not to confuse this location intersecting Palms Blvd. with the CVS also on Sepulveda just two blocks north, intersecting National (in the Von's lot) where the parking is tight. read more
