I honestly don't know what it is about Dave's. The Hollywood location was so good what happened? Young workers that just don't know what their doing. They fill your cup with ice to the top and sell you a drink. I also got sauce on the side which I never found. Like I miss the good old days with daves. Now it's just oily buns and dry sandwiches. Has to be the worst customer service ever. Waited over 45 minutes. Ordered online and it told me it'll be ready in 10 min. Got to the location 5 min after the pick up time and was told it'll be out soon. After 15 min of waiting I went up and asked if my order is coming out soon they said " oh we will work on it right now give us 5-10 min. Waited another 20 minutes after that. Honestly this place sucks compared to the one in Hollywood. I always reorder thinking that there is no way they can be this bad, but again disappointed. The fries have zero seasoning and are saggy. I was so excited they opened a location in Glendale as I hardly am able to go to the one in LA that much. I wish this was a good review but I can't lie :( I have eaten at the location on Western before so that's what I am comparing it to. The one on western was so good and I was hoping it will be same since it is a chain. But I was wrong. The chicken's exterior was falling off and even though I chose medium and mild, both were almost no spicy at all. The fries were stale and old. I've never actually been to the location. I've only had takeout brought to me, but my order has always been correct and the food is the best! The chicken tastes great in my slider and I love the slaw and pickles. The fries are seasoned and delicious every time. And the orange sauces just add more yumminess to it all. Sucks to give y'all 1 star cause your food hit every time, but y'all Customer service is absolutely uneceptable. I asked the worker by the pick up line for a Yelp, grub hub order and told him my name. I try to show him my order on my app that it says ready for pick up. He then Looks at the order in his hand and back at the prep line and says "it's coming up". I ask is it this one that's sitting on the pick up rack and he's says no. I tried asking him why is it telling me order ready he didn't respond. At the same time Customers come in and then heads back to the cash register, mid conversation. An employee behind the counter delivers the next plate to the pick up area and asks what order I'm waiting for. I told him my name and he said it's right there on the rack that been there for an hour. I tried explaining that the employee that I was just talking to said it was still coming up. He then gave me attitude and tried to correct me as if I was in the wrong. Anyways I get it that you might be having a bad day, or it gets busy and you can get overwhelmed, and some customers can be difficult. Just take it one step at a time. This spot is serving decent food but it too overrated. I ordered from Postmates this time and have to say I was not pleased. Everything in the bag was all over the place. Napkins were greasy, food was not closed properly, and one of the sauces came empty. IT LOOKED USED!! Overall the food was good but the seasoning on the medium heat chicken is too much. Service: Great! The employee that bagged our food was extremely nice after hearing it was our first time! He offered suggestions like putting honey on the chicken which was really cool and appreciated. Food: I got combo #1 w/ 2 extra tenders, no spice and combo #3 1 extra slider medium spice for my SO. The combo plate is filled to the brim with fries which I thought was impressive. I didn't enjoy the tenders that had no spice. They were bland and didn't taste like anything. I understand that it's Dave's HOT chicken so they're known for their spice but for the people and kids that prefer non-spicy, the no spice tenders should still have seasoning and shouldn't just lack flavor. On the other hand, my SO did enjoy his medium spicy sliders! At the end I was full because of how stacked the box was but I wasn't satisfied if that makes sense. read more

I placed my order 30 minutes in advance online and still got there 10 minutes late from my pick up time, to see that they never put in my order. I showed them my pick up time and all the workers just seemed to be confused. The customers in charge of pick up orders seemed completely confused and didn't know was going on. I decided to try Dave's hot chicken was I was in Cali in the area visiting. I'm a huge fan of Nashville hot chicken and I have seen this place all over Instagram. I got the 1 tender and 1 slider combo with cheese fries. In my head, it sounded like it would be a small portion. I was surprised at how big the tenders were. I was so full at the end. I decided to get my tenders hot which was perfect. I feel like it was so accurately rated. It was hot, made my lips tingle, but still enjoyable. The fries were crunchy and delicious and I opted to add cheese sauce to them. The Dave's sauce was a perfect addition to the hot chicken. It was creamy and refreshing. The ordering process was super easy. I ordered on postmates for pickup since dine in is not available at this time. My food was ready in 15 minutes as expected. I've been a fan of Howlin' Ray's and I've enjoyed Rockbird, and on my son's recommendation we tried Dave's last week. The quality of the chicken was excellent and the spices were delicious without being too overpowering. I wish the fries came in their own bag, as it might have made them less soggy by the time we got the food home, but they were tasty. Our only real complaint was that we had ordered mac and cheese and been charged for it, but it was not in the bag when we opened it. Not a huge deal, but we'd really been in the mood for mac and cheese. I got a survey from Dave's shortly after and complained about it, and the next day got an apology and a coupon for a free combo. That's a restaurant that owns up to its mistakes and tries to make it right. We'll be going back for a second try. read more
