    Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries
    Kayla L.

Love Dave's hot chicken as they always have the tastiest and tender chicken tenders. I got the Dave's #1 and #2. Basically the sliders and the tenders with fries and order a side of drinks. The portions are generous and I got mild which was a good balance. I love their sauce (Dave's sauce) and the staff are efficient and location is easy to find parking. I love the graffiti design on the walls and it's kept clean and neat! Highly recommend them!

Dave's Hot Chicken delivers exactly what it promises: a straightforward, satisfying meal centered around seriously crispy Nashville-style hot chicken. The real standout, as you noted, is the seven-level spice system, which ranges from "No Spice" to the infamous "Reaper". The progression isn't linear, there's a significant jump in heat starting at the "Medium" level, where you begin to feel a distinct tingle and burn. A few practical tips: each tender order comes with bread, pickles, and Dave's Sauce . For groups, they offer larger combo meals. It's also good to know that their chicken is Halal-certified. Overall, Dave's Hot Chicken is a fantastic spot for a crave-worthy, spicy fried chicken fix. The quality of the crispy chicken and that addictive sauce makes it a consistently good choice.

Mmmm. SO GOOD. For once, those commercials with the people dramatically freaking out over how good the chicken is, are not false advertising! I stopped in for lunch and ordered the meal with two chicken sliders, thinking they were actual (small) sliders but to my surprise, they were normal sized sandwiches! I don't know how Dave did it, but he managed to make the chicken AND fries taste very unique/different from other fried chicken joints. It was a fantastic experience I was not expecting. Definitely check this place out! :)

I liked it, got the #4 hot for $11 and ate it while mom was shopping. Hot definitely had a kick with no water but it was tasty, didn't get a chance to use the sauce but the rest was good. Flavorful, nice, slightly sweet, spice to it because I don't like the straight up sour buffalo spice type. Four not five star because they skimped on the slaw in the sandwich, I didn't even realize it was supposed to be in the sando until the last bite which had one bite of slaw.

Wow Dave's Hot Chicken is so good!! The chicken is always fresh, fries are well seasoned and I love how the pickles are dill. I ordered a Dave's #3 which came with 1 tender, slider, and fries. I also ordered a side of coleslaw which was so good. It gives the meal a nice crunch. If you don't get the HONEY you ain't doing it right!! The honey packet makes the whole meal that much more better. I highly recommend to get the honey!! There's a good amount of sitting outside and inside which is nice I can definitely see this place getting packed. Service is a little on the slower side but definitely worth the wait.

    Combo meal #Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries (medium heat)

Let me preface by saying that I'm someone who thinks Buffalo chicken wings are hot. I ordered the medium spice (the middle option out of their scale of 7 possible heat levels ranging from No Spice to Reaper) and it was HOT. So much so that my mouth was on fire and couldn't exactly enjoy the rest of my meal because I was too focused on getting the heat out of my mouth. That being said, if you're someone who loves a chicken sandwich/tender with HEAT, Dave's Hot Chicken will certainly be your place. They do not play games with their heat levels. It's also not a patty in the slider, it's a tender which can be messy, but that makes it different than your average chicken sandwich! The fries were SO GOOD and as always, I love me a good special sauce. Their sauce is deeeeeelicious. The sauce pairs perfectly with the fries, bun, bread, chicken, just about everything... The service was normal (nothing super quick but I wasn't waiting for 20 mins either), staff is super friendly, and there's a parking lot in the little plaza within Needham Street but it can be packed depending on the time of day. All in all, a great spot if you're looking for a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich!!

Solid chicken sandwich a bit outside of Boston in Newton! One mix up people may have is to mistake a slider for a small chicken sandwich but it is a decent size for 1 person! We got their slider, some fries, and a strawberry milkshake. To my surprise, since I am not a huge sandwich fan, I was pleasantly surprised by how filling and yummy everything was! And the strawberry milkshake had a pretty good consistency and taste too. The only thing was that the chicken sandwich tasted more spicy rather than flavorful the higher the spice level (but I've tried other spots where you can taste both the flavor and the spice and so it is doable!) Regardless, it's a pretty solid chicken sandwich and shop! What we ordered: - Sliders - Side of Fries - Strawberry Milkshake + my friend's fountain drink

Would've gone 3 1/2 stars if available. First time trying - and really didn't live up to the hype for me. Thought it was just okay. Customer service was fantastic however if it is your thing.

Pros: -Crispy chicken -Good amount of food $16.69 via Grubhub Very happy with this combo (1 tender, 1 slider, fries)! Maybe not my top fried chicken, but I'd definitely come back. Lite mild didn't seem spicy and mild had a very slight kick. The sauce is pretty sweet and goes well with the dry rub on the chicken.

If you are looking for some southern fried chicken, dave's is the perfect spot! Chicken is always juicy and pairs well with the cajun seasoned fries.. oh and don't forget to ask for honey packets to drizzle on the chicken! Staff was friendly and the interior has some cool art on the wall. I have been there twice and definitely plan to visit more often!

    Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries and a side of Mac and cheese
    Jen H.

Quick service and great chicken! Went with the combo #3 with medium heat which gives you a tender and slider. Fries were crispy and the dipping sauce had awesome flavor. Also ordered a side of Mac and cheese which was extremely creamy, but the cup was barely filled half way. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area to up the heat a notch and try the hot flavor in a combo.

Yes it does, have eggs (egg whites) in the batter

I'm so glad Uyghur cuisine has made its way to Boston…read more I was first introduced to it years ago at Silk Road in Cambridge, and I've been hoping more Uyghur restaurants would open ever since. Jahunger truly delivers. The restaurant immediately sets the mood. Candlelight, the scent of incense, traditional instruments on the walls, and pothos plants growing from mounted glass jars all make the space feel warm and inviting. One warning: unless you arrive around 6 p.m. or earlier, expect a wait. (It's popular.) Oh, and the food is worth it. The leek and egg dumplings tasted homemade in the best way: slightly rustic, fresh, and delicious. The hand-pulled noodles are the stars. Every noodle dish we ordered had the perfect chewy texture. My favorite was the Laghman noodles, though the Jahunger noodles were a close second with their rich spices and satisfying heat. The mee fen and stir-fried green beans both packed a respectable kick and leaned a little salty, but not enough to keep me from happily polishing them off. Don't forget the tea! It's beautiful to look at, filled with all sorts of ingredients (Chinese jujubes!), and only lightly sweet, which I appreciated. Then came the showstopping honey cake. The cake itself was fluffy, while the filling had a firmer, almost sticky texture with deep caramelized flavors that reminded me of burnt caramel in the best possible way. Paired with what tasted like coffee ice cream, it was the perfect ending to the meal. Jahunger is one of those restaurants that makes you want to come back before you've even paid the bill. I'm so glad Jahunger made it to Cambridge; the Boston food scene is richer because it's here.

We came in and the restaurant was filled with younger people who were hanging out. To start off we ordered lamb dumplings and scallion pancakes. I was familiar with both of these appetizers and they were the same as anywhere else. To eat, we ordered chicken stew. The waitress told us that one stew was spicy and the other was non spicy. We decided to order the non-spicy one since others were not big fans of spice. When we received the food it was very spicy. It was hard to eat and we did not enjoy it. The waitress came back and thought we wanted the spicy chicken stew which was incorrect. She apologized and wanted to switch it. At this point we were running late so it didn't matter. We just packed it and gave it to our family member who likes spice. This place was okay. I will have to come back here and give it another chance.

We ordered the cheese topokki (soft rice cake, fish cake, vegetable, & mozzarella in Korean spicy sauce) & the beef bulgogi bowl (fried marinated beef, vegetables, steamed rice & side of soup). The cheese topokki was just as good as we remembered - chewy, flavorful, comforting, & a little bit weird. The cheese was poorly distributed, but it was still very tasty. The beef bulgogi bowl was really underwhelming. Firstly, it was very little food. We were promised vegetables, but there were only a few scarce onions & zucchini pieces mixed in. It was also dry. It was devoid of moisture & sauce, so we added some from the fridge at home. The side of soup was a joke. It filled only about 2/3 of the container & looked so sad, we wondered if it was the sauce that we we so desperately needed. Nope, just a meager amount of watered down miso soup. So the conclusion - great topokki, sub-par bulgogi, non-existent soup.

For the food, we got the tuna kimbap, Seoul toppoki, and bulgogi hot pot for two. Everything was SO good. The ingredients were fresh and the food was flavorful (sweet from the bulgogi, savory from the mushrooms, spicy from the toppoki sauce, salty from the tuna, and sour from the pickled vegetables). The price for the portion size was a great value and we ended the night feeling very full and even had to pack up an entire container of the hotpot for two that we didn't finish. Overall, we had a great time and I can't wait to come back again. This might be my new favorite Korean food spot in the Boston area.

Arriving around 11-12 on a Saturday, my friends and I reserved a table at In House Cafe and received quick and efficient service from kind and informative servers. It's nice to note that the uniforms are also adorable and punchy. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal and my friends and I, despite ordering a VAST array of delicious items from pizza to pancakes, all agreed that the food was delicious and well worth the trip! The apple Cinnamon Pancakes were nearly to die for, warm and delicious, the batter seemed homemade, and honestly gets a solid 10/10. The same goes for my drink of choice, the iced caramel latte with oat milk. The bacon and eggs were as you'd expect and well executed. The Shakshuka was good and smelled amazing, but my only note would be that an addition of salt or a slight edge to the dish would bring it over the top- My friend who initially ordered the dish says that an addition of Feta cheese will do the trick, as she ordered a side of it to go on top. For my personal taste it was a 7.5/10. The pizza was a great serving size for 1-2 people in one sitting, or could easily be stretched out into multiple meals if needed. The fresh tasting vegetables brought the dish together, and the meal was happily enjoyed. and a pro tip; if you have leftovers i'd recommend reheating in an air-fryer for perfect crispy crust 9/10 The chocolate strawberry latte exceeded my expectations, as I am not a usual fan of chocolate strawberries, but this drink was a very pleasant surprise. It wasn't overly sweet or artificially flavored, and I couldn't help but ask my friend for a few sips throughout the meal. The bathrooms were VERY clean and VERY well maintained, and the restaurant is just a very quick walk away from the bus stop. Accessible by car but parking may be hard to find, so be aware if you choose to go by car. I would go back to boston soley for those pancakes! ONE thing I will note is that for three people our order came out to a bit over $100. You can feel free to interpret that as you so choose. I will say I was somewhat surprised, but NOT regretful! I'd still go back for the pancakes ‍

The service is always spot on, even when they get busy during the weekend brunch rush. (You should count on needing a reservation at those times.) Of course, none of that would matter if the food wasn't also excellent! We always order banana caramel pecan french toast for the group to share. The french toast on its own is custardy and delicious (unlike some places that just feel like dry bread), but the roasted bananas along with the buttery caramel and pecans take it to the next level. The fries are also the platonic ideal of a french fry that always surprise us: crispy, not greasy, and well seasoned, while still having a fluffy center. I often get the shakshuka or the aleppo-style eggs for my main, which are both delicious, veggie-forward, and filling. But the hidden gem is the oatmeal, which is packed with fruit, perfectly cooked, and creamy as can be. Since the food is halal, there are no pork products, and as a lover of regular bacon, I can say with confidence the beef bacon will surprise you with how similar it is! My vegetarian friends also love the variety of the options, and the meat eaters are always satisfied.

There are lots of rustic-looking tables, which give it a sort of homey feel, and some tables can fit 12+, so they can definitely accommodate large groups. My colleagues always get something different, but I get the same thing every time: the grilled boneless pork shoulder and it is so good. The pork shoulder is a bit fatty and comes out juicy and flavorful from the grill - droolworthy. It comes with sauerkraut, but it's not your typical sauerkraut; it's more like a mild slaw with just enough acid to cut through the fatty pork. Also comes with your choice of side and sauce.
