Server was perfect! What I'm about to say is no reflection of her... Made the reservation about four days before my son's 24th birthday. I let them know that it was his birthday and that I wanted a table overlooking the water which I got a table the water. Also, when I checked I did quietly remind them it was his birthday, so I assumed that whatever dessert we ordered would be brought with a candle or somebody singing a quick happy birthday that did not happen. Food was disappointing. Warm and watery Caesar salads for all of us. As well as warm Tina Tartare(but it was yummy tartare. Lobster Mac and chesee was meh. Plenty of lobster, cheese sauce was bland. My filet was perfect. I suggest the compote butter on side, otherwise wise it's dripping in butter like my daughter's Ribeye! To the point she couldn't each much because it was SO heavy, but it was cooked perfectly temperature wise. The desserts were gross!! The chocolate mousse cake was so dry and you could tell mass produced and came from a dessert assembly line...The creamsicle cream brûlée with rum whipped cream, inedible! The sugar was not even burnt, it was like chewing a package of raw sugar and the consistency of the brulee was NOT it! This was a $515 meal, with a $100 tip. So disappointed. read more

I tend to leave positive reviews only, but being in sea port and this Restruant being considered "fine" dining I think it's worth leaving an accurate review. I won't go to much into the terrible and unprofessional service which was revived bc I consider Yelp more of a food review experience and not a dining experience review. The appetizers were the only highlight of brunch. The thick cut nueske bacon was phenomenal. Fatty and smoked with a perfect Demi glaze this bacon was mouth watering good which I could eat weekly. The tuna tartare was fresh and seasoned perfectly with hints of truffle which pulled the dish to perfection. Sadly it only gets downhill from here I had ordered the A-5 waygu steak, despite not getting an answer of which cut the steak was, it was ruined regardless it was ordered rare and received well done with not even a little bit of pink to be seen in sight. Sad to waste such a fine cut of meat. The filet which was ordered medium also didn't have a hint of pink in the middle and was so over cooked you might have mistaken it for a hockey puck. Thankfully it had been ordered with a sauce that made it some what edible. Porter house was seasoned lightly and cooked unevenly on each side. Again ordered medium rare the ribeye side was actully cooked some what spot on but the strip side was cooked medium well with barley a hint of pink. With the vast amount of restaurants in the area I would not recommend this place. read more

Went to this restaurant as part of a much larger group, 50+ people in a function room and a large table in the restaurant. The restaurant was busy for a Saturday night, but the service was abysmal! We sat at the table for 90 minutes before they brought us any food that was ordered from the menu. I ordered a lobster bisque and it was awful. I left it and the waiter did not even acknowledge the fact that I left all but a spoonful. Did not taste like lobster bisque. Couldn't tell you what it tasted like and they didn't even remove it from the bill! Customer service was horrendous too. There was no check-ins, and when we became totally irritated, I asked to speak with a manager..... twice! No one came! 20 minutes later they brought our steaks/main course. I ordered a rib eye as did a friend next to me and over half the steak was fat and tendon. Not what I was expecting for $50+ steak. I wish there was something positive to say about the experience, but everyone at the table was irritated including a business associates who canceled his meal an hour before they brought out food and they still brought it out! Service was poor, food was poor and costs were high. Doesn't add up. Do yourself a favor and go to the Capital Grille. Best experience I have had, repeatedly. If you are looking for an alternative in the Seaport, try Ocean Prime or Morton's. Definitely a step up from Del Frisco's Triple Albatross! 1 star is the minimum rating. Del Frisco's down Seaport is an awesome location with a gorgeous view. A friend and I went in Friday afternoon around 3 PM the place was jam packed. We decided to sit at the bar and enjoy the view and the ambience of the hustle and bustle that was happening. It took a little bit but we finally got a few beers requested a cold glass the glass was cold but not frosted. We then went ahead and decided to split a few dishes. 1. Tuna tartare ... I have to say this is probably the best tuna tartare that I have eaten in a very very long time it was nicely arranged so it was extremely pleasant to the eyes it was even more pleasant to the pallet this is a must get dish. 2. Shrimp cocktail ... six extra large shrimp with the sauce dripping over the edge of each another great dish I would highly suggest. 3. Prime burger ... The bun was a little bit on the greasy side, the burger however we requested rare and it was cooked perfectly making for a great burger once cheese and bacon was added. However it comes with a side of fries the fries were soggy, sopped with grease not so good. 4. The iceberg wedge or lettuce wedge is a total rip off. You received 1/8 of a head of iceberg lettuce a few bacon chips one and a half grape tomatoes cut in half to make 3 halves with a little Roquefort dressing on top at a ridiculous price for 25 cents worth of food just horrible. The Bloody Mary might as well stay away from that they use a bottled mix and it wasn't so great. There was also complementary seeded bread, one medium size loaf which was so-so and came with a dollop of butter. The location is top-notch with beautiful ocean views of Boston Harbor and decorated very eloquently. It was a little bit difficult trying to converse with the staff as the place was jampacked and I think they were understaffed the bartenders and waitresses even the managers were stocking glasses and it was very hard to ask for anything. They do have valet parking directly at the front door which we took advantage of for $21. I Give Del Frisco's 3.5 Stars but since Yelp does not have half stars I will scale it down to a three star review because it definitely was not a four-star experience. read more

For the amount of money your paying this fine dining restaurant was more than disappointing.A server came over and asked us with an attitude what type of water we wanted. When our actual server came she was very nice but we placed our food in and they were rushing us and when the food came out it was stale cold. I asked for a couple of drinks that came way later and weren't even worth drinking anymore. Staff was being unprofessional saying inappropriate things in Spanish around us which shouldn't be the case in a restaurant where decorum should exist both with staff and customers. I made a reservation months in advance for Valentine's Day. My boyfriend had never been to a Del Frisco's, so I wanted it to be special. We even did valet parking to avoid driving around or me walking around the Seaport in heels. It was quick and easy. We arrived a bit early and went upstairs to have a drink at the bar while we waited. It was crowded and hard to get the bartender's attention because there was nowhere to sit. After a while, I scouted out some seats when I saw some folks paying the check and was able to flag down the bartender for my beloved VIP cocktail (clementine vodka infused with pineapple). It wasn't as good as other VIPs I've had in NYC or recently at the Back Bay location, but it was still decent. I noticed lipstick on the glass (that wasn't mine) and the bartender made me a new drink right away. Our table was ready pretty much on time and they gave us a two-top with a beautiful view of the water (I had told them in advance that it was our anniversary). I really appreciated the window table for our special night. For dinner, we shared the bone-in prime strip, potatoes au gratin and asparagus. The medium-rare steak was cooked perfectly and they had already parceled it out into two servings for us since we were sharing. I love the simple but flavorful preparation of their steaks. So tasty! We ordered another round of drinks including the pomegranate martini and the blood orange manhattan. Both were deliciously mixed. As the staff had been informed of our anniversary, we also received a complimentary slice of cake with a candle, which was super nice! I have eaten here before, food is good. The waitress we had on Sunday was very good and pleasant. The view is amazing. My one issue this time was the hostess and getting checked in. We were barely up the stairs and she said , "can I help you?". Had reservations and we're about 10 minutes early. She checked us in and said " you can wait by the wine, you're early", in a very curt tone. The much better response would have been, "your table will be ready shortly , feel free to have a cocktail at the bar". When our table was ready, another hostess called our name and walked over to seat us. Then she asked to"confirm " our name, as if we were trying to steal some one else's reservation! I mean it's a chain steakhouse, not a restaurant that you would reserve months in advance! Again, food is good but for the price you pay, the hostess should be a little more pleasant. The steak is seasoned to perfection, the lobster Mac and cheese maybe the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. The asparagus taste wonderful. The salmon was ok, nothing grand. Service: We sat down and after about 3 mins saw the server which isn't bad at all but between ordering our drinks to ordering food it took a bit and from getting our food to being seen again......that took 27 mins. This particular Del Frisco's is at an awesome location next to the harbor. Try to get a table facing the water! We came here a week after Valentine's Day so we had no problem getting a choice table. The food was high quality and highly satisfying. Let me start with the steak entrees. We both ordered medium rare. Unfortunately my wife's was a tad too rare but she did not realize it before digging in. Mine was right on the money. Both were absolutely delicious. Our sides were creamed spinach and a plate of sauteed mushrooms and onions. The spinach was quite good but oh boy those mushrooms. Loved them. Full of earthy flavor. For appetizers we were served absolutely clean oysters and an excellent wagyu beef carpaccio. I had never tried carpaccio before but I am glad I did! Do yourself a favor and do your research before opening the wine list. There were an astounding number to choose from. Most will run into triple digits (or more) a bottle but there are a few for less. I wish I could have eaten even more dessert. The butter cake my wife ordered was incredible. I finished what she did not. My dessert was a boozy ice cream martini, well made and delicious. The service was stellar, extremely attentive without being intrusive. What you would expect for a restaurant at this price point. On that note, expect to pay well over $100 a person. If you are not, you're probably not going to get the best Del Frisco's has to offer. read more

If you're in a hurry...this is not the place to come. We called in an order of two box lunches and two of the weekend warrior grille packs. We were quoted 30 minutes. We arrived early and was directed to the bar to pay by the hostess. The hostess indicated the lunch order was just put in. The bartender greeted me immediately and said it would be a few minutes. I stood at the bar waiting and waiting. About 30 minutes from the time we called,-a person from the butcher shop walked up with the tab and instructions on how to prepare the steak and burgers in the grille pack. Then said "I'll be back with the order". I continued to wait. The bar and restaurant was not busy by an means and there seemed to be many waitstaff working. 45 minutes into the wait I went to the restroom and when I returned to the bar, a bag with our box lunches was in a stool at the bar. A few more minutes passed and the bartender came over with a tab. I pay and still no grille packs in sight. I migrate over toward the hostess stand to wait. About another 5 minutes passed before a gentlemen appears with two bags containing the grille packs. He apologized and stated there was a mix up in the kitchen. Hmmmm...I envisioned these grille packs being somewhat prepared in advance or fairly easy to compile? By the time we were able to eat our box lunches, the bun was cold and almost stale tasting, burger was mildly warm and fries were cold and too salty. Shaved wagyu sandwich was also salty and disappointing. We were hoping the service and food quality had improved since we were last here but it doesn't appear either has changed. What happened? This place has officially lost my business. I went here to celebrate a birthday. It felt like we were at a sports bar. Imagine spending $400 to eat at a bar setting? The service could not have been worse. We watched our waiter consistently visit tables around us only to ignore us time after time. Our waiter never even brought our drinks, we had to flag down another waiter for more water and also to inquire about our drinks. The food was great (why I am giving two stars and not one) although it took roughly two hours to get out our food from the time of our reservation. Came with a large group and spent 4 figures on dinner. Our waiter was relentlessly asking about a rewards program so "we can get credit to our dinner tonight." Turns out they actually charge you to join the program, and they did us the service of putting that charge in the middle of a bill with 50 items on it, so it was nice and hidden. When we asked that it be removed, and that we thought the move itself was really low class for such a nice establishment, the manager was extremely rude. Most of our meal was good although it took hours for the entrees to come. Not in and of itself a problem but the billing process ruined the night. We had a line dinner which was absolutely phenomenal. Breakdown: Parking can be difficult, but there are parking garages near by. Communicative: our server checked on us multiple times although busy and even the manager stopped by to congratulate on the special occasion - but honestly with the price we're paying I'd hope it came with outstanding service We had a reservation but still waited about 30 mins for our table which was unfortunate but I guess that's the price you pay for ocean view My favorite part of dinner were the crispy, pan seared scallops which were super juicy. I want to start off by noting that for better or worse I have the opportunity to dine in all the major steakhouses in Boston and beyond. I am by no means an aficionado, but I have had ample experiences to base my review upon. It was my best friend's birthday, and she never been to Del Frisco's in Seaport. I thought what better place to celebrate her birthday on a beautiful Friday evening than the "Double Eagle" of Seaport I have gotten to know and love for many years now. The positives: Wine was great. The oysters, Nueske Bacon, Prime Strip, scallops were all excellent. The butter cake was delicious and decadent. Tomahawk for two (I would be on the fence about re-ordering). All the sides left a lot to be desired, but if I had to choose, I would say the mushrooms were the top choice. The strawberry cheesecake lacked Strawberries, had a very bland and unappealing taste. The chocolate mousse looked like and tasted like a first-grade science experiment in a cup. I was very disappointed with the lack there of service, and just how uncoordinated the who experience was. The dining room was pretty empty for a Friday evening yet they sat us right next to another group. The tables were so close that the waiter for the other table elbowed my friend in the head when serving the other table. He apologized as it was a complete accident, but it spoke the lack of thought of how in terms of making the guests feel comfortable. It also turned off my best friend's husband for the rest of the evening. The music was very loud for steakhouse and made it difficult to enjoy each other's company and conversation. We had to refill our own glasses of sparkling water and wine. I would not mind doing this, but never had to when dining here previously. T Then we looked as our dishes were pilling up, and we had to request to remove them from our table. No one asked if we wanted more bread, or if were enjoying our meal or if we wanted anything else. It was very monotone and somber experience. I am writing this review because I want to ensure if anyone chooses to invite someone who they cherish to a venue to celebrated an occasion they should be aware of what could happen. It is difficult to replace a bad memory and an experience that should have and could have, but was not. It is my strong believe that steakhouse is just as much about the experience and service as it is about food. You come for an experience not for a piece of meat. The cherry on the sundae was the fact this miscalucated the total by $100. It happens ( I guess). Once we caught it they updated the account immediately. We can always replace the money (case in point) even tough we did have the service we would have liked we still tipped 20%, because money can be replaced, and people need to earn a living. It was very disappointing that my best friend and her husband did not get to enjoy the full "double eagle" experience I had been accustomed to enjoying with so many others. This was an extremely disappointing experience. The service was atrocious and we were told it was due to being short staffed. I am totally sensitive to that issue butttttt we ordered lunch and it took over an hour for the food to come out. They should not have seated my party if they were not able to accommodate us. Also, the food we ordered was pretty basic, nothing fancy - salad, burger, chicken sandwich and crab cake. After what felt like forever, the food finally arrived. I wish I had a picture of the chicken sandwich that they had the audacity to serve me. It was not a chicken sandwich but rather a burnt ball of breading between a bun. It was absolutely disgusting. The only positive comments I have is the view from the balcony was nice, it is water front. And after complaining to the manager, they did comp the "chicken sandwich". The Del Frisco's name is held in high regard, however this dining experience was not at the level we expected. We've been to Capital Grill, Ocean Prime, The Bancroft...you name it. And sadly this was the worst of the big name steakhouses in and around Boston. The food was below par, not only taste and flavor, but the doneness of the steaks was well below what we asked for (medium rare that looked raw-not even rare). The mash potatoes were soooo dry! We did not get a picture of my filet because we had to send it back- they do ask you to cut it in front of them so I did and it was raw. Our waiter on the other hand was incredibly personable and clearly running around very busy so we can cut him some slack. He made up for the lack of culinary excellence. To top it all off, there was a pretty major incident in the women's bathroom- I stepped in throw up and the hostess when I went to tell her about the state of the bathroom- asked if I wanted my shoe cleaned off (as if I walked back through the restaurant covered in throw up). PERFECT place to grab a drink and eat dinner before a show at whatever they're now calling Harborlights. (Today it is Leader Bank Pavilion). Service was quick and friendly and we never had to ask for more water. Cocktail list was fun and the wine director stopped over to offer any help. Our table has the Del Salad and Caesar salad. We added a filet to one salad and salmon to another. Salmon and Ahi Tuna were also ordered. Both were delicious. I liked how we could park down the block and walk over. But should we even had to ask for utensils? We then finally received our utensils after the appetizer came. Utensils were placed on the dirty glass table with no napkin. So then we proceeded to ask for napkins. I didn't realize napkins & utensils had to come per request. We finally received napkins after dessert. Then came entree My filet mignon came cooked perfect but the mash potatoes were undercooked and under seasoned (not my first Time having it here) the quality just does not uphold what this place used to be a couple years back. Plating looks like something my niece did. Ive had better service at Fridays. The whole dinner it seemed like the food was an after thought and same goes to the service. Apparently we were sitting next to VIP guests who were extremely unhappy as well because a bunch of managers and staff came to check on THEM and kept apologizing to them. Well, what can I say! When you go to a VERY expensive restaurant you do expect the highest quality and service. I'll begin by saying the service was spectacular! Very attentive and quick staff. Food on the other hand was surprisingly underwhelming. My $60 steak was cooked about right but really had no flavor (I think this is why they push their sauces and butters). Not worth the price. The sides and appetizers were also cold. What got me was the disgusting state of the men's room - water/urine everywhere by the toilets, with tools of paper soaking wet. A very big turnoff. It was fine for a special occasion - but there are much better choices for far less. It was not worth $280 for a dinner for two (after we split the bill with our party) I'd likely not return and won't recommend it. Again, good service and drinks! read more

This place was a major disappointment. We've eaten here plenty times before, as well as other Del Fresco's locations, but they're all becoming lackluster. We figured we'd try this one again for our big night out, but our VERY expensive steaks were not steakhouse quality. They were bland and forgetful the moment we left and swore to never spend a whopping $500 on a crappy meal here again. And what's with the dress code--or lack there of? You'd think a place that promotes itself as high end and has $3,000 wines would stop people from entering with hoodies and tank tops like it's clam shack on the beach. Came here for a business dinner. The ribeye steak was delicious, as were the lobster Mac and cheese and the butter cake. Those were definitely the highlights! The desserts are huge. I would say four stars for food. However, we can here for a business dinner and the music was sooo loud it was crazy. I could barely hear the person next to me. read more
