Worst Denny's I've ever been to. Save yourself your money. My bf and I were staying at a hotel right next door, so very accessible location. We were exhausted from being at Disneyland all day so we decided to order our meal online. We ordered the Build Your Own Sampler; French fries, chicken strips & mozzarella sticks. We were told to pick up our food by 11:57, so we did. My bf picked up the food right at 11:57. He got back to the hotel, the fries were stale cold, I bit into the chicken strip and it was uncooked. It felt like they had just tossed it into the microwave. We were pretty upset so my bf went back to let them know the food was cold. The only thing the cook would say is that it was our fault for picking it up too late, yet we were told to pick it up at 11:57 and that's when we did. Their was not type of manager there, we couldn't even get our money back. Terrible terrible. read more

Great staff!! I frequented here while staying at a hotel near by. They were welcoming, quick, and all of the staff (that I saw) were bilingual! The food was excellent (on par with any other Denny's I have been to). I really looked forward to my meal and experience at this location. Thank you! read more

I would say it's pretty convenient having then close to the happiest place on earth. The service is some what professional.

We came here 3 out of the 5 days we stayed at Disneyland. Our experience was amazing. Prompt greeting and seating even though they were fairly busy. We ordered and the food came fast. I used to go to this dennys right after getting off of work from Disneyland. Me and my coworkers would get here around 2am and be there until like 6am when the sun would come up. It would take a while to order because there would be like 10 of us. Then it would take even longer for the food because we are all so hungry and get so much food. I customer service is average but it was one of the only places to eat this late at night. Also it was good for us because we got a discount with our Disneyand Resort castmember ID's. read more

Come here if you don't want your drinks refilled or a waiter to check up on you after being seated. It's a ideal place to just sit and wait confused, ignored and thirsty. But the check gets there on time, per usual. I'm not picky and don't need much for a meal but at least come by and check up on a table. Never coming back to this location. read more

I went here today, Veterans Day, to have breakfast on the house because I am an Army veteran. I waited a good 5 minutes before the hostess tells me I can seat myself nearby. (Denny's protocol is to seat everyone). I wait a few more minutes for a waiter who came by only to tell me that this location doesn't honor the free breakfast. Had breakfast on Sat morning and breakfast wait took longer tham usual, it was not crowded so unknown the reason why it took so long. In addition the "build your own" breakfast additional items are $1.29 ea compared to other near by Denny's where it is only $0.99. read more

has anyone honestly seen a better denny's than this one? I'm not trying to sell this place but outside and inside is very very nice and modern yet still with a old american family feel. The gift shop is cute and the waiters are all very friendly. Sure they were all latino, latina, but what do you expect when 80% of the customers that come in there are probably latino and can't speak english very well. I went there on friday and wow there was a line. There has to be a reason for that. I heard about the baby incident in the trash can but honestly what does that have to do with the denny's itself just some crazy ass women that happened to choose denny's to trash her kid. We ate here for breakfast each day on our Disneyland trip. Each day the service and food was great. Quality and speed was better than our local Dennys for sure. Ricardo went out of his way for us on a special request which really helped us out. Will definitely eat here again on our next Disney adventure. read more

Went here on Tuesday because we had just driven 6 hours to take the kids to Disneyland. Surprisingly it wasn't busy. Just a heads up for people with children the franchise owner of this location doesn't do the children eat free on tuesdays. Which was fine because we still ate there. However the food was subpar. I know dennys is the mcdonalds of diners but when you send out scramble eggs that are runny and have no flavor then there is a problem in the kitchen. The restaurant was clean though. Just the food wasn't very good. They have a lot of over priced Disney merch which is t surprising considering g it's across the street from the park. The wait staff is just okay they stop you once after you are served and again when they bring the check. There are a lot of better options out there. read more

I came here at about 10:30 at night. There was like no customers. I waited about 20 minutes for somebody to just come help us. I only came to get a quick dessert. I asked for a Carmel apple crisp and it took about 15 minutes to make. The crisp had barely any apple or ice cream. I work at another Denny's myself and i would've never had my customers wait that long and I would've at least apologized. A Carmel apple crisp takes only about 2 minutes to make too, not 15 minutes. I was very disappointed and unhappy with my service. read more

I have eaten at a lot of Denny's over the years and didn't think I would write a 5 star review for one but for this location on Katella Ave, they have a star server named Adan. He is courteous, helpful, friendly and on top of everything. I was more impressed with his service than I have been at much "higher end" restaurants. Great experience! read more

This place is by far one of the worst Denny's location I've ever been to. Everything about it was soooo disappointing. My party of 3 were seated at a grimey table that was clearly not cleaned well as there were crumbs and residue left on it. And for the ground! As soon as I sat and put my foot down, I stepped in spaghetti or whatever was mushy under the table! Disgusting... ever heard of table check after your customers leave? As for the ordering - the waiter took awhile before finally coming around and taking our orders and mind you, there was barely anyone there. My friend ordered the peanut buttercream pancake and I wanted the same but without the peanut butter because I only wanted the chocolate chip pancakes. As soon as I asked if I could have the change in pancakes, the waiter looked at me in disbelief as if I ordered something totally difficult on the menu. If you've had arrowhead water and know what that tastes like, Denny's water wasn't any better. If anything it was much more worse. When the food finally arrived, it came out cold, but still, I was hungry and left no choice but to atleast eat a bit of what I ordered. Nice location, but customer service sucks and cleanliness needs to be looked at more closely. read more

Normally I would rate this a 3 star. The food was as good as any Denny's could be. We ate here once and got to go once. Both times the service was the suck. When we ate here, we stood at the front for at least 5 minutes at a pratically empty restaurant. But were told it would be just a moment twice while waiting. Plenty of workers, just not working apparently. Finally we get seated and order. The folks just don't look very happy or friendly. Like I said earlier- the food was fine. We got a super bird and a breakfast plate to share. But the lack of service and unfriendliness bugged me. Whatever happened to Fake it until you can make it? Went there at 10 pm and got seated almost right way. Food was amazing and the milkshake was as well. Priced really well for the amount of food that you get. It was clean and service was good. Can't really complain about anything that happened while I was there. Great place to eat at. read more

Not the best Denny's...but that is because they get a huge crowd late at night and from all of the concerts and games going on around it. I haven't been to Denny's in a while and I'm still surprised on how good the food is. I got the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and to my surprise it tasted like an actual cinnamon roll. It's not just your typical put cinnamon on the top, but there's cinnamon inside the pancake too. It was sweet and soft just like a pancake should be. Just realize that it's really sweet. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys sweet and delicious pancakes. read more

Since I stayed at the Best Western Next door- We had a coupon for kids eat free. The service was prompt and the food was fine. Except hubby ( seems like they always screw up his order) got a ham and cheese omelete instead of the ultimate omelete. The waiter was nice enough to remove that from the bill. Me & my family decided to eat dinner at Denny's since it was two doors down from where we were staying and this is where we usually eat.. we were seated about 10mins before the most awesomess waiter named Gershiem came by to see if our waiter came by to take our order.. since he hadn't come by yet, Gershiem got our drink orders.. that was very nice of him since his shift was over.. we waited another 10 mins or so still no waiter. so Gershiem took our order for us.. we felt bad since his shift was over.. Finally our food comes and it was yummy.. Guess who is there to check on us and our food?? you got it! Gershiem.. we tipped him and waited for our bill.. low and behold THAT'S when we meet our waiter.. What a hot mess.. oh i forgot to tell you,,, he and the other staff where just on the otherside of the wall chatting it up not paying any attention to us.. we even saw people who had waited so long they decided to get their order to go, which probably took longer than just eating there... The place was pretty empty, it was about 9pm on a thursday night.. and it was filthy.. i wanted to take a pic of how messy and dirty the floor was but the hubby said don't bother.. WERE NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!!!,.. the next day we at at IHOP next door which the service, food, and cleanliness was perfect.... We complained to the manager on duty and all he cared about was giving us a discount... which we did not want or cared about.. This was a horrible experience. We've waited 35 to 40 minutes. We have complained and they said it was ready pointing at our food. It has been 10 minutes and it's still sitting there. Our waiter and other workers are doing other orders of costumers that came in AFTER us with larger groups. They even forgot my dish and had to be reminded. read more

If you find a need to go to Denny's, you probably want skip this one. Incomplete and incorrect orders, huge delays between serving meals and parts of meals to different people in our party and cold pancakes. The manager did try to make it right, but ugh, not again. read more

Our server Ricardo was incredible. Saw I had two toddlers and acted with extra napkins split their meals and extremely efficient. Coming from a seasoned waiter/bartender for over 30years, the guy was excellent. Did I mention he was also friendly and polite. The hostesses at the register could use some work. Nope . Please don't go here. I'm sorry to say this but I have never known a restaurant around Disney to serve bad quality food . We came here and were seated right away which was a plus . But the service was horrible, our server ordered our drinks & gave the wrong one -.-. Once we got our food , everything like the toast & the bacon and the pancakes were burnt -.- like WTF! Its pretty much what you expect. However do not deviate from the menu. It is usually noisy and crowded but not bad.
