We decided to visit this Denny's for a quick bite one morning; we like Denny's when we travel because of their $2-4-6-8 menu, it offers smaller portions and attractive pricing. We were seated promptly and ordered coffee while we browsed the menu. But I couldn't find the $2-4-6-8 items... but why? So when our coffee arrived, I ask the server (who was the manager) about the $2-4-6-8 menu - he told me that this location did not offer that menu. Hmmm, that seemed very strange to me. I told him that we did not wish to dine there if they did not have the $2-4-6-8 menu; I paid for the coffee and we left. I was curious, so I visited the Denny's website and looked at their menu to see what other locations didn't have the $2-4-6-8 menu, but I could not find any information on non-participating locations. So I called their 800 number... this is where it got interesting. The gal on the line was very nice and helpful. She was baffled about why that location would not have that menu; she said ALL DENNY'S LOCATIONS have the $2-4-6-8 menu and that the restaurant we visited was supposed to offer it as well. I explained that it was manager himself who TOLD me that they didn't have that menu. She placed me on hold and called the restaurant. When she came back on the line, she was apologetic and promised that if we returned they would provide us with the $2-4-6-8 menu. Thanks, but no thanks. Why would I give my business to them after that? Obviously, the management of this location feels that they can make their own rules. They are being greedy and trying to force customers into buying the higher priced menu items that contain thousands of calories. I have other options when I dine out and guess what Denny's? I'll be exploring those from now on. read more

I came to eat here after seeing Bad Religion at the House of Blues, and the service was pretty bad, very slow and they messed up my drink order and even gave me the wrong check, but still I'm giving them 4 stars. Their staff was nice enough to not throw us out after my buddy decided to sleep at the table after an exciting night of Bad Religion and lots of pbr, lol! The waitress even brought me more water and ice and made an effort to help me out. There was a ton of other drunk people in there that night, so I'm sure its not the first or last time she's had this type of night. Besides that, I ordered the Lumberjack Slam and it was pretty good. It was very tasty and I ate most of it, pretty impressive for a Denny's. Once again thanks for not throwing us out, lol, and more than likely I'll be back after a fun day at Dland or going to a show in the area. read more

She brought our coffee and i asked if they had vanilla creamer and she huffed, rolled her eyes, and stomped away to get it like a 2nd grader! She could barely speak english and it was difficult for us to understand her and i'm sure it was hard for her to understand us. She brought our food and practically threw it at us. Pros, not busy or crowded Cons, slow service and no 2,4,6,8 menu. I'm currently waiting over 10 minutes for my check for my water, kids meal and kids chocolate milk. And this was after the waitress asked if everything was ok after my kid was done. My water glass was never refilled. I understand that I didn't order much, I wasn't hungry enough for a full meal but that doesn't mean I should be basically ignored. Fairly solid for a Denny's. Just little things didn't go right. My western omelette was a little bland and I had to have white toast as they had no rye. My server was a very nice woman, very attentive refilling coffee and getting drinks, so that made up for it some. One thing I will give it: food prep and serving was fast. We stayed at the Best Western next door and this place is literally in the same parking lot. The waitresses are amazing, we had Maria and Sua help us. (separate days) we sat outside and enjoyed the great Anaheim weather. The owner was incredibly gracious and attentive. We had a small issue but man oh man was it corrected and apologies were given. It wasn't something that was due to anyone being negligent...just an oversight. Anyway, I LOVE this place. everyone is great and the food is served hot and it's affordable. The name on the restaurant was a welcome sign. Who doesn't know and trust Dennys? I suppose the fact that we were "lucky" enough to not have people waiting in line to be seated should have been an indication that we should keep looking. Lets start with the fact that the place was clean. There, that's the positive. The food? I wasn't in the mood for a pancake. So what was an easy dinner? Nachos. The positive was that they didn't skimp on the sour cream The negative was everything else. Stale chips, CANNED cheese, Lukewarm meat sauce, and the scary part? I have no idea what some of the goop was that was melted and sitting there. This was HORRIBLE. My husband opted for the Chicken strips. Microwaved.....If you are still reading this. Go to the COCO's. Tuesdays & Saturdays after 4pm: Kids Eat Free. I'm not a Denny's fan, but we were staying at the hotel next to this restruant and decided to eat here. This was a nicer Denny's then most and teh food was good. As Denny's go, I would give them 4 stars....compared to other places similar, 3 stars. I go here at least 3 times out of the month. Always clean, friendly staff, and QUICK service. Never experienced problems here out of the many times I have came. I order my usual (biscuit & gravy breakfast) no matter what time of the day it is. Reasonable price and they never short me out of what I pay. I will continue to come. Good job team! read more

They serve shock top, which is strange for a Dennys to carry any drinks at all. This my friends is a shock as why would you go to a Dennys to buy a shock top so close to Disneyland. A mystery indeed. With any Denny's its not about the food so much as the experience. This place is close to Disneyland and the Convention Center, which if your tired hungry and cold is a no brainer. And although the service was kinda slow, the manager at least noticed and took our order which is very commendable to her, not the wait staff. As if regular Denny's isn't bad enough. Try your best to stay away from this Denny's. It will not offer any of the $3, $5, $7 specials because it's so close to Disney land. Ironically I think the one on Harbor Dr closer to Disney is. Not only that they will also kick up regular menu prices such as charging $7.99 for a grand slam. They sell cute Disneyland souvenirs. A lot cheaper than in the actual park! The food was pretty good too, just seemed to be thrown on to the plate a bit. Would definitely ask the chefs to be a little more considerate of how the food looks. read more

The staff was lovely, hands down, but they are really under staffed. I walked in to order a to go order of cheese sticks when there were only 3 busy tables. Came at 3AM just to get pancake puppies and a chicken wrap. Not busy. One server on the floor, but we waited to get seated. He was consistent with our order, and didn't take us too long to finish. We patiently waited to ask for our bill and a box, but he just disappeared out of no where- until my Boyfriend mentions that our server is sitting at a different table with a couple EATING. We stayed at Best Western Plus Pavilions. Dennys was basically in the parking lot. After three days of walking, we knew we needed a break. We spent some time in the juacuzzi, and then, looked at Denny's website to decide our order. The website had pictures and information about each menu item. After deciding on our order, we called it in. It was ready in ten minutes. Everything was as ordered. Hot and fresh. This was easy! And, it hit the spot! read more

My experience with online ordering was wonderful. When I arrived my food was ready and the manager was very helpful. I ordered a classic burger with hash browns and an additional side of biscuits. I know there's another Denny's around this one and i would suggest people go there instead of this one, or if not Ihop. I have never really had a preference for either since I often associated Ihop with pancakes and Denny's with... eggs (?) and a place to go to for all hours of the night. However, this Denny's really tested my neutrality when it came between the two. I came around midnight, which is normal for Denny's since they're open pretty late, so the quality of the food and service I received shouldn't have mattered. However, throughout the entire meal I found that my waiter seemed very rushed, he hardly spent any time trying to take our order, listening to our specific requests, or to come back to see if we needed anything else. And the restaurant wouldn't be what I call busy, in fact it seemed as though there was a surplus of workers. In fact, none of the workers seemed keened to wanting to stop, breathe, and listen to our orders for more water, or extra tomatoes, etc. Basically I felt as though all of the workers just wanted to brush us off by just slapping together our meal and handing us our check 5 minutes in, in hopes of having us leave as soon as possible. the food itself was okay, it did come very quickly and usually I'm pleased with what I get from Denny's (and this might be affected because my cousin ordered, but even then it shouldn't have mattered too much) but I found our order too greasy and not that great when it came to flavor. read more

A decent place for a quick meal, but don't expect to get the attention you would think of getting! I took the exwife there this morning, and we ordered breakfast, She got the Gritts, and I got the Moon over My Hammy breakfast sandwitch. We both had coffee, and with the lack of customers in the diner, the cups should have stayed full! It seemed that there was only one server on duty at the time, and it took awhile for him to get back to us to refill the coffee. Exwife said the gritts was bland, and could not think of what she can do to make it more tasty, Mine was fine, yet I opted for fruit instead of the greasy hashbrowns that they serve, and it was a bowl of Grapes, pineapple and bannanas sliced up. I was hoping on some mellon of some type, but he seemed confused when I did ask for fruit instead of the browns. So he just threw something together in hopes that I would not say anything. Just trying to keep it on the side of Simi Healthy. As with any Denny's across the country, expect a meal, not a great meal, but something that will get you down the road with service rating of below average, and with people who speaks English as a Second language. read more

I'm a big fan of Denny's, but I've gone to better locations than this one. My friend and I were at Downtown Disney and being the broke college kids we are, decided not to eat at DD. Instead we drove down the street a bit afterwards to this Denny's location. We were quite surprised that there was almost nobody there. It was totally deserted. Business must be awfully slow all the time for nobody to automatically be near the entrance to walk us to our tables. The interior wasn't very uh... decent. The place looked very old and slightly beat up in my opinion. The ceiling above us had a hole or whatever where electrical wires were showing. The kitchens looked a bit rusty too. Interesting atmosphere I say.. The food was good, nonetheless though. I ordered nachos and my friend had the Western Burger. Service was excellent; our waiter was very friendly and helpful with our orders and drink refills. I mean it's not everyday you get customers here i guess, so might as well take advantage of your job position haha. I thought it was a bit weird that they had a small souvenir shop going on at this location too. Interesting stuff, don't get me wrong. But I didn't seem to expect that despite the fact that it's in the Disneyland area. Thought people would rather pay $40 for a regular I LOVE LA mug... guess not. read more

Ate here on vacation while killing time waiting for our airport shuttle. I read reviews just to make sure I didn't get food poisoning or see a cockroach in my hashbrowns, and was kind of surprised. I mean it's Denny's. What do you expect? I was really expecting the worst, but it was pleasant. The server was very nice and the food was decent. I know in the past at different Denny's I've gotten more hashbrowns than I was served at this one, but whatever. The price was comparable to other Denny's locations, which was a relief because they could definitely charge more being so close to Disneyland. The service was also fast for how busy it was. It was a Saturday morning a half mile from Disneyland. We were expecting to wait like an hour, but our food was up super fast. Not a bad experience at all. If you come here expecting a gourmet breakfast and to be served like royalty, you will be disappointed though. It's still just a Denny's. read more

Ok, I was always pretty meh on Denny's. Moons over my Hammy was my go to. But then I went super late one night, hungry for breakfast and now I can't stop thinking about these orange zest frosting topped pancakes. OMG. They remind me of the sweet rolls in a can with orange frosting that I used to binge on. Looking forward to having a reason to get them again, even though it's a ton of sugar. So good! read more

During my 4 day trip to DL my party ate at this Denny's 3 times and all times were awesome. First time was a party of 8 for breakfast. They were fast and the food was great. My 2 year old nephew dropped a cup of OJ on the floor in the middle of a breakfast rush and all of the staff were very patient & helpful. The other two times were middle of the night meals (1am) after Disney closed and it was perfect. Restaurant was clean and service was super fast. My chicken strips weren't very good one of the nights and I suggest sticking to the breakfast menu. I worked at a different Denny's from '08-'14 and I eat their food often. There are several good items throughout the menu but I always suggest to stick to the breakfast. Also, some pretty cool Disney items for sale for very reasonable prices. read more

What a wonder experience. Ricardo, the guy in the photo for this site, provided us with quick polite service. Very attentive to our every need. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I was so happy I could get a side salad instead of fries or I would have never finished that burger. The place is clean, the tables are nice and big providing plenty of space. HAIR IN MINE AND MY SONS FOOD!! My family and I came into this place yesterday morning around 10:30 a.m. We asked the manager who sat us if we could have 2 high chairs, he must have forgotten it took 20 minutes before someone came over to even give us water or chairs after i had to get up and ask one of the waitresses. Our waiter finally came and took our drink order. When we ordered our food 1 plate was brought out and no pancakes the 10 minutes later the rest of the food!!! While eating I noticed a few black hairs in our food, we are all blonde so this was disgusting. THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE, WE FELT SICK ALL DAY. And the manager didnt even come to apologize, he was busy talking to another family. Now I dont mean to play the racial card here, but it was all hispanic working there we are white and I felt very discriminated after that experience and still being charged. Not to mention the manager who was an old rude Hispanic guy talking it up with another hispanic family, not even acknowledging us and what just happened! I will never go back to another Dennys again. Service was okay. Guy was nice, but a little slow even though there weren't many customers. The thing that really frustrated me though was that this Denny's did not honor the Denny's $2/4/6/8 Value menu that I order off of at every other Denny's and that is listed on Denny's website. My bf and I wanted $2 quesadillas! Since we were already here and ordered drinks, we just dealt with it and got the sampler, 3 things for $8.69. We chose 2 quesadillas and chicken strips. Once they arrived, the quesadillas were fine, but there were only 2 small pieces of chicken! Not really $9 worth of food. This store is probably our favorite Dennys (4's), but tonight, they really irked me... to the point of leaving without ordering! You know how they advertise they serve soup til 10 every night? Ya, well, tonight... we rushed to get there before the soup was gone, and, even tho we arrived at 9:45, and ordered a bowl as soon as someone decided to come to our table (about 10 minute lag), they came out, at 9:58! and informed us that, unfortunately, there was no more soup, because they had already thrown it out, THROWN IT OUT!!!???!!! and, "in order to make more, we have to open a whole pack, and waste it" ... So we left. I mean, that's wrong! Delay coming to the table; throw the soup out before the customer can order it, then refuse to correct your 'error" for your regular customer... sheesh! I mean, would it make ANY difference for you to wait until AFTER 10, as your menu claims, to toss the remaining soup? read more
