Not the best denny's ive been too. I ordered online and paid only to arrive in person and be told that they never received my credit card purchase on their end of the system, although my bank transaction went thru. It was very frustrating paying again and Denny's never offered to dispute it in any way, shape, or form, so I literally paid twice for a shitty tatertop app that tasted microwaved. Two stars are for the Italian salad I also ordered and strawberry lemonade which both tasted fresh and delicious and whose portions were generous. If going to this location don't use the online ordering system they will steal your money and not do shit about it. read more

We just stayed in Camp Verde for the holiday weekend and visited Denny's 3x because we were SO impressed with the food. Sounds crazy I know lol. Everyone from the servers, cooks, manager and general manager Ashley were on their game every day! We tried a couple other places in town that had great reviews and was truly disappointed in them. I'm happy to see such consistency and hard working people from start to finish. Managers were cooking, running food, serving, and all around just supporting their staff and that's rare to see in the food industry today! Closed. (apparently for renovation) The building sign had been covered with something but seemed to have blown off. The large roadway sign still intact. Possibly remodeling?! However; Large dumpster out front. Two uhaul vans parked across the front with workers moving items out (chairs, booths, etc) We just ate there a month ago on our way through Camp Verde (and it was great!). I was visiting Colorado, and was staying I Durango for a few days, and just happened to find a Denny's. The food was well prepared, delicious, an hot! My server was friendly, kind and helpful with my questions. I will stop in again next year when I visit Durango again. read more

Wish I could give it zero stars. Garbage service and food. Worst Dennys I've ever been to. Waited 20 minutes to be seated, three groups left bc of waiting so long in this time. nobody greeted us and then when being sat the waitress, shannon or sharron not sure which, basically ran to the table, threw down the menus and just pointed at us. Keep in mind there's no more than 5-6 tables seated in the place. Anyways we sit down and another waitress comes over and asks how we got there and seems upset about it but let's us order anyways. After an hour and 20 minutes of waiting our food arrived, all of it cold and our toast stale. We had to ask multiple times for items that were missing and they never came until the everyone was ready to leave. When bringing these things up to the waitress she was pretty much like yeah sorry it sucked but offered no fix to the problem. I explained that normally when you know you've provided bad service to customers as well as serving inedible food, any normal establishment wouldn't expect the customer to pay full price when one plate was touched and it was the appetizer. After 10 minutes of back and forth she finally agreed to give us a small discount. They had multiple people getting upset in the lobby as well because of terrible service so it doesn't seem like a one off. Wouldn't recommend anyone go here ever tbh. read more

First time at this location, Stopped here on our way home from Flagstaff. You cannot normally go wrong with Denny's and this was again to be true. It was late at night and we were tired and hungry. Our server promptly served us coffee and tea that helped get us energized to eat dinner and carry on to home. I had a hamburger with no bun because of my allergies to gluten and server had noticed i ordered it that way and wanted to know if i'd like it "protein style", wrapped in lettuce. I thought that was a nice suggestion, means she probably was onto the whole gluten free thing, i'd like to think so. :) My Alex ordered breakfast. We like to be able to completely order different from the menu. Breakfast for dinner, great concept! Food was hot and delicious. The restaurant was clean, so were the bathrooms. Never thought my culinary tastes would lead me to writing a review for Denny's, yet here I am, in the middle of nowhere, at 12:00 AM, writing one. This Denny's is pretty amazing as far as Denny's go, or maybe now, being in the middle of nowhere America, I finally see the Denny's light. Irregardless, this place is a boon. I was stranded in Camp Verde, unable to get to Phoenix, and wondering how I was going to spend the next 4 hours of my night, I learned that this Denny's was open 24/7. In fact, it was the only place open in the area. So here I am, using the internet, while it lasts, hopped up on coffee, and planning my trip to Hawaii. Lessons learned, Unlimited cups of coffee over 4 hours could be bad. Don't hitch hike in Camp Verde The Chili here still tastes like Denny's. Went here twice. Once for breakfast and was attended by a lovely waitress. The following day we went again, because we were staying at the hotel across from it on vacation. This time it was for dinner. We walk in and we're rudely told by 2 waitresses that they had just put in 25 orders and weren't gonna serve us till an hour and a half later. The restaurant was half full. They also told the same thing to the family waiting behind us. They left. We basically felt like we weren't welcome and they kept repeating the same thing over with attitude. We left and were greeted with smiles at Burger King across the street. read more

A better than average Denny's, in my opinion. I've really liked the servers. They're helpful and attentive and even humorous at times. Right now, I'm in love with Denny's, but for a limited time only.... The Hobbit inspired "Lonelands Campfire Cookie Shake" (I just call it "The Shire Shake") It's one of the most satisfying milkshakes I've ever had. And I'm going to miss it sorely when it goes. It's a smores-like cookie mixed in with a great vanilla milkshake that tastes like it has malt powder (omg thank you), but I don't think it actually does. I think it's the flavor of the cookie. I wanted to replicate this at home, but I've had no success. They make the cookie in house (so they say) so I can't go get a box of them. So I always have to drive the 20 minutes from VOC to Camp Verde to get my fix. read more

I got a "happy belated birthday" coupon by email a month after my birthday, so I came to redeem it, but the server today was not hospitable from the moment we walked in (other servers so far have been great), and she refused to let the coupon count because I had it on my phone instead of printing it out. The Caramel Apple Crisp that I thought was going to be free and ended up paying for was not crispy at all and the ice cream came in slabs instead of a scoop (not that that matters so much). The Grand Slamwich was pretty good though.. for a Denny's. This woman just soured my good opinion of this particular Denny's. read more

Then the waitress came with no water, apologizing that she was halting another waitress with a big table. Was glad that kids eat free every night from 4-10pm for this month. The food was what you would expect from a Denny's. Was happy that the veggies I got with my veggie burger were cold and crisp. Kids are happy with pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage. One child got the kids spaghetti and was bummed it had meat in the sauce. Other child got a 1/2 order of nachos and was happy. My group of 4 had just finished the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course and we were in need of food. One of us had an event back in Phoenix, so we were on the lookout for a restaurant somewhere along the way. The driver suggested the Denny's, as it would be "nicer than a fast food place." Not my first choice, but sure, why not. Upon entering this Denny's, we were greeted by a weird smell and noted a leak in the ceiling....with a bucket full of yellow colored water under the leak. Ew. No one acknowledged our presence until a harried server rushed over to the reception desk about 5 minutes later. When we got to our booth, our server, who just arrived for her shift, said that she was a bit disorganized that day. She was pleasant enough, called us all "hon," and took our orders. My party ordered a variety of items, including my "Fit Slam" (I asked for pancakes instead of the English muffin) and a 2 egg/bacon/toast/pancake puppies plate. My friend who ordered the 2 egg plate had to wait an extra 15 minutes for her toast and bacon. Not impressive. Everything tasted fine, but the slow service, questionable cleanliness of the restaurant, and untimely arrival of our sides all contributed to a less-than-stellar experience. read more

Considering when we arrived only one guest was paying to leave and I was at the door for a while (before noticed) I would suggest to the hostess to use a little more manners, or personality! I also felt with the lack of customers there should not have been a plethora of dirty tables. The waitress could have cared less about her knowledge of the menu, or her tip. The menu is deceiving in the portion size. (Good thing I eat light or I would have had to order all over again) The bathroom needed attention as well. If I were management I would be embarrassed. Last time I went the couple walking out said "it took us over an hour to get our food, I'd go somewhere else" and I did because that's typical. Please work on that guys! I'd put no star if I could. I went here last night ( 1/2/21) and it was terrible. The food tasted off and made my boyfriend and I sick for the rest of the night , the service was very slow even though the place was pretty empty. It took nearly an hour to get my cob salad and ice water. And to make things worse on their behalf, a current employee who was off the clock at the moment brought a puppy into the restaurant and was taking it in and out of the kitchen. None of the working employees stopped her. Not even the Manager. I'm no health inspector , but even I know that is not allowed and falls under health code violations. It was also filthy. I was stepping on old hard fries and trash under my table. I looked to the table next to me, same problem. It was just dirty all around. I do NOT recommend this Dennys. read more

It was my first time at this location, and my dad's second. He recommended stopping here because he really enjoyed the food the first time he visited a couple of weeks before. A few of the staff were quite obviously uninterested in being there. Our server was very friendly, but when I finally came around to placing my order (we were starving and couldn't settle on what we wanted...the menu looked too delicious!), she failed to mention that they were out of a few of the important ingredients needed for my salad. So after committing to my meal choice, it came to me without avocado (the whole reason I ordered the salad), and they replaced it with added potato crunchy strings? It was VERY disappointing. My dad enjoyed his Extreme Skillet, of which I had to eat some of his just to fill myself because my salad was incredibly lacking. The chicken was minimal, the cherry tomatoes were itty-bitty, the avocado was missing, and the only thing I had a lot of were the weird crunchy potato string things. We explained that had I known they were out of those ingredients (avocado and my dressing choice), I would have ordered another meal all together. The server admitted her mistake and asked the manager to correct the issue, which they offered 20% off our bill. We appreciated the gesture, of course. It was simply very frustrating to have had such a disappointing meal that was entirely avoidable. I'd likely try the place again, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to visit there. read more

This is the first Denny's I've been to in years and this one is smaller than I remember them being. The servers were all extremely friendly despite a busy, Labor Day weekend crowd. The food was brought out quickly and tasted good. I felt sorry for our server who it seemed had been required to "sell" us on providing charitable donations or ordering ice cream (after a breakfast no less). We went there with more two families and they ignore us for more than 10 minutes, until I ask if they could help us and the guy said he was helping by order. I still don't know order of what because we were waiting to eat and he was just helping the people that are paying. So resuming all the thing. When I ask how long its the wait he said 25 minutes. and later on 45 minutes. So I think just because we have kids he didn't want us there. We lost around 15 to 20 minutes waiting to be seat and end up going to another place because we didn't seat at all after wait so long.
