    Buffalo Boneless Chicken Wings
    Savannah R.

I visited this Denny's location on Sunday, 9/17/23, around 2 a.m. It appeared to be busy, but I was able to sit down very quickly. I decided to order the Buffalo Boneless Wings, Moons Over My Hammy Omelette with Hashbrowns, and a Strawberry Banana Smoothie. The smoothie was refreshing and the food was average/tolerable. The server did forget to bring a side of toast with the omelette. When I got the check, I requested the toast to be packed in a to-go box. Denny's is convenient to go for food for a late-night bite. However, service can be hit or miss.

Went to this location this past Monday morning for breakfast. Service was good. My wife ordered an omelette with toast. When the toast came out, we thought that it had cheese on it. Overloaded with way to much butter. I use less butter than that when I cook pancakes for three of us at home. She ended up scraping off more than half the butter before eating the bread.

Gianna is the best!!!! PERIODT!!! Helped us wit everything . Told me the strawberries was only 99 more cents. GARRO GARRO GARRO

My check was left at the table before we could even get half way through our meal! Did not feel welcomed at all!!

Food is ok. Restaurant is old and benches sag. Staff is pretty good. Managers are friendly. Oatmeal is good! Will be back.

Friday, May 15th, 2026 Approx. 4:30 PM…read more OVERVIEW: This place is awesome! The model trains, the jukebox era music playing in the background, and of course, the delicious food! PROS: 1) Ordered the Sirloin Steak & Eggs, (#9 on the menu) & the Pancake & Eggs selection. (#31) Was delicious. Ordered the eggs over-easy, and the eggs were served exactly over easy. (I.e., all wet & yellow on the inside) Other diners nowadays don't serve over-easy eggs this way, and the egg yolk is fried & dried when served. Today's chef did these eggs right! 2) The pancakes were HUGE! Not just fluffy for show, but actually packed with volume. Was totally surprised. Plus, the syrup is served in those old-school dispensers, (see attached picture) so you can pour as much syrup as you want on your pancakes. I usually drown my pancakes in syrup. However, a lot of diners nowadays pour the syrup in tiny containers when served, (in order to cut costs) so I usually have to bug the servers for more syrup. 3) The venue is quite amazing. Most young kids nowadays have probably never seen the type of classic trains in the display cases at the restaurant. So in that sense, this place is also a train museum. Plus, the restaurant retains that nostalgic vibe of when diners were an integral part of the American family dining experience. 4) A petite Latina Lady took my order at the counter and this Gen Z Bro served the dishes. Both individuals were polite & professional. (Honestly, didn't expect to see such a well-mannered Gen Z Bro as a server. Must be local Lodi hospitality.) NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: Give these kids a raise. 5) At the time of this post, high inflation plagues America. But this restaurant provides good food, at a high volume, at an affordable price. But Management still needs to give the kids in the aforementioned a raise. CONS: The bacon served with the pancakes are a teensy bit burned. But I'm sure that there are a lot of other customers who prefer to have their bacon prepared well-done. SUMMARY: There are so many items on the menu. I NEED TO GO BACK to try some of the other entrees. In the meantime, if you're reading this, and have never been to this place, by all means give it a try!

I have to say, it was impressive. We had reservations at 4:45 PM on a Thursday for a birthday celebration - and was fortunate to find good parking. Pietro's has an overflow parking lot right across the street - because they are THAT popular. And yes, reservations are always recommended - because Pietro's is THAT popular. The first time I went to Pietro's, they had fish and risotto special. Every time I've went, they always had the fish and risotto special - and ordered it every time - because it is THAT good! This time I ordered the risotto special without the fish and it was especially delicious. Pietro's has an amazing menu and quite a few menu items I would love to try - but I just can't pass up the risotto - because it is THAT good! Pietro's evolved from a small family favorite restaurant to what you would expect at a fine dining franchised establishment. The mood is always vibrant and positive. And the service is even better. Overall, Pietro's is not just a restaurant, it is an experience - because Pietro's is THAT good!

The wide pasta noodles were perfectly done and the sauce was so delicious! My dining companions both had Caesar salads and eggplant Parmesan, and we all shared the bruschetta appetizer. All the food was very, very good. 100% recommend. However...the service was only adequate bordering on good. I must say, the servers and the person checking people in were very obviously inexperienced. They were friendly and kind, but so, so awkward. Pietro's has so much potential to be fine dining, but the service comes off as unsophisticated, sporadic, frenetic, loud, unaware, and clumsy. For example, when the server brought our entrees, he reached all the way across the table in front of us to put our food on the table. I'm used to experienced server carefully going between each person. Ok. So it wasn't terrible. It's just not as highbrow as the place seems to project itself as. Also, one of the servers loudly interrupted us while we were having a conversation and it was very jarring. I couldn't help but feel rushed and kind of bothered by the uncomfortable, inexperienced energy of the staff. It's fine. I'll totally go back. The food was amazing. I just won't expect the kind of service that a place like Pietro's should have. It's not like anything was really wrong. They tried hard and were very nice servers, it's just that the vibe was waaaay off and they could all benefit from some solid training.

Wow. SQZ Burger has been open for nearly three years in Lodi and I never noticed it. I know I've…read moredriven past it many times, but I guess their signage is too modest compared to the huge "IDOL BEER WORKS" on the other end of the building. I figured it was just another iteration of the original (now long gone) Squeeze Inn in Sacramento, and I was right. I don't think the various locations are franchises, but are more likely independently owned, and the quality varies from location to location. The one that used to be in West Sac, for instance, was terrible, which might explain why it's been gone for years. And the mid-town was also a resounding MEH, and also gone. There's nothing at any version of Squeeze Inn/Burger that I want more than just a basic Squeeze (or in this case, SQZ) with Cheese, though. I don't want a taco, nor a BLT, and especially not chicken strips. I want that which made the brand famous. A cheeseburger with all the traditional toppings and a cheese skirt just dripping cheese grease off it. SQZ Burger delivers the goods. The cheese skirt was just the right size, not too big, not too small. At one point in my life I would have said that there's no such thing as a cheese skirt that's too big, but a couple of years ago I had a cheese skirt that was so big that I felt sick afterward from all the cheese grease! In addition to the just right amount of cheese, the burger had lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, and a healthy schmear of mayo and mustard. Damn near a perfect burger. The owner was running the register on my visit, and when she brought my food out, she asked if I wanted a side of ranch. I'm the kind of guy who would drink ranch dressing if I could, so of course I accepted. I didn't even ask - It was nice of her to offer! There's a throughline from the original Squeeze Inn on Power Inn Road to SQZ Burger, too. The father of the husband half of the H/W ownership team owned the original location. Brandon and Katie ran the Galt location for several years, and have now brought the goodness to a Lodi brick and mortar spot. I'll definitely be back.

I had the western bacon cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry shake. These burger was full of flavor and BIG! Not sure exactly how they make their fries, but they're amazing. And my strawberry shake was good also. We had about 45 people all land at the same time, and SQZ was able to quickly get us all served in short order. I do love the vibe of both SQZ & IDOL. It was a nice little drive both ways with an epic food stop in between.

The other place I considered my hubs checked out the inside, and walked out and said "No.". So, we needed to find an alternate. We are so glad we did! We love this place. We have made a plan to never order the same thing twice so we can eat everything on the breakfast menu. They make their pancakes so well. They have crispy edges and is sweet. The batter is not heavy or dough so the pancake is really fluffy throughout. We've also had their French toast which was amazing! Light, crunchy, thick. Yummmmm had them with strawberries. We've shared their steak and eggs, the steak was nice and tender, great size and flavor! Our daughter has had their chicken fried steak, and we weren't able to wrangle any of it from her, she kept it to herself. Order the country potatoes. They have crispy bits that we fight over. Biscuit is FLAKY. You can see it even when it's innocently sitting in a plate waiting to be cut open and buttered. And the country gravy has the best flavor...and bacon in it. The staff are wonderful, the restaurant is always buzzing and looks like a local favorite. We totally plan to come back as long as we can. They're going to be on our favorites list!

PROS: - Nice family atmosphere - Large food volume for price - Good service CONS: - Ordered the Pancake Combo, which includes two (2) pancakes. As you can see in the attached picture, one of the pancakes was completely burnt. The chef tried to hide it by putting the burnt pancake under the normal one. I didn't notice it until I had already eaten 1/3rd of the meal, and was too hungry to wait to have another one cooked. This is not the restaurant's fault, but completely the fault of the chef at the time. Needless to say, I won't be coming back.
