I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

Every dish we have tried has been fresh, tasty and great presentation. They always have a diverse spread of pastries so we grab a few to take home. All of their pastries have been amazing. My favorite is their cronut and the raspberry pop tart. Lastly and maybe most importantly, is their delicious drinks. I love the butterfly pea mimosa! Their butterfly pea palmer is great as well. YUMMY! Their service is always great. Attentive and friendly servers. The ambiance is lovely as well- very welcoming, nicely decorated and a bright open space. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. We came during May, when it starts to get warm, but he did well since there is a good amount of shade out on their patio and they provided a nice big water bowl for our special boy. The staff also were kind enough to move one of our chairs out of the way so our dog had lots of room to lay down. Staff were all very kind and never seemed annoyed with the dog (you can always tell at a restaurant if they are, and they were very happy to accommodate him). Very dog friendly!! The food: We gotta talk about their French onion soup. It was pretty dang delicious! The broth itself is quite nice, a nice cheese portion, and the baguette was divine. I also had their French Connection sandwich (with a side of fries), and it had a great combo of ooey, gooey cheese, firm and flavorful ham, and served on a really delicious loaf. Really solid fries, too. We didn't end up getting any drinks but saw several people ordering yummy looking bites. If (but likely when) we come back to Tucson, I'm making a point to return to Cup Cafe!
