We ordered (what I believe was actually on their 'Secret Menu') a double stackburger with grilled onions, jalapeños, bacon, and spread. Literally insanely good . . . they know EXACTLY how to make a smashburger the way they should be: juicy & bursting with flavor. This place is almost TOO good! I've had the standard Dirt Dog, Elote Dog, and their garlic fries - all of them phenomenal. The garlic fries are some of the best I've ever had! Service has been friendly and quick during each of my visits. Decent amount of seating and cool tributes to Long Beach on the artwork/decor. Place has a cool LBC vibe. I loved the different variety of dogs they had so wanted to try. I got the chili dog which come with chorizo Chile,cheddar sauce, cilantro, chipotle aioli, and bacon bits. It came on a bread bun much like a lobster roll comes on and it worked out much nicer than I had anticipated. The flavors popped and the chili was so delicious. It came together so nice. The dog was larger however didn't have that pop when bitten into which to each their own. I didn't miss it with all the great toppings creating a little moment of heaven. This is a total foodie place and totally worth a try. There is plenty of space inside and pretty comfy for a hot dog place. It's like street vendor meets fast food in a lab and their concocted menu items speak volumes. Hubby and I have heard of Dirt Dog but didn't really get the urge to check it out. Until one night we drove by and went for it. This Dirt Dog is located in Long Beach inside a shopping center. There is plenty of parking which is always a plus. We were greeted right away by the very big personality lady behind the counter. The aesthetic of the place to me was very Los Angeles. There were paintings of famous LA rappers, palm trees, low riders, etc. I loved the vibe! Now the food... hubby and I ordered House Dog and a side of Dirty Esquite. We had just eaten elsewhere so we weren't starving lol. Plus, the hotdog looked big enough to share. It didn't take long for our food to be ready and I went in for the first bite. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to grab some food. He decided this place and we came in and ordered. We ordered the plain dog bacon wrapped, DUI fries, patty melt dog, and carne asada fries. While waiting for our food we saw that a lot of people were coming in specifically for the cheesecake and we were watching the employees make it. We decided to order the cookies and cream cheesecake. They made the cheesecake when our order was done. The food was very delicious. We loved everything from the hot dogs to the fries. What we found very surprising was the cheesecake. Now we understand why people were just coming here solely for the cheesecake. It was so delicious. We even ordered the Ferraro cheesecake and that was more tastier than the cookies and cream. My Husband grew up in Long Beach and went to Polytechnic High School with Snoop Dog so we had to go try Snoop's "Dirt Dog" restaurant in the LBC The service was amazing from the moment we arrived in the establishment Matthew was our cashier and waiter, he was very friendly, polite and attentive making great suggestions since it was our first time there and he had a great personality which was very refreshing! The atmosphere was laidback and casual and friendly. Plus the music was jamming to say the least. The food menu had lots of good selections and desserts and cocktails . Our food was yummy I had a hotdog the Dirty Chili Dog 100% Premium All Beef Nathan's Dog, Wrapped in Center-Cut Bacon, Chorizo Chili, Cheddar Sauce, Chipotle Aioli, Onion, Cilantro, Bacon Bits, and Garlic Fries Garlic Confit, Parsley, Garlic Seasoning. So glad that I did. Food was tasty, we ordered the chili dog, a double smash burger with all the fixin's, garlic fries with lots of real garlic and of course, the cheesecake. The chili dog was my fav, very flavorful, and the bread roll was toasty but soft. The burger had lots of flavor as well, and I loved the soft bun on that as well. The fries had a nice crunch and were crispy, even though it was drenched in garlic oil with garlic bits, and they came with a garlic dipping sauce. If you like garlic, you will love these! The guys working are really friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide; they made some recommendations. So if you're overwhelmed, just ask them. The place is super clean and spacious. Each premium all beef Nathan's dog is wrapped in bacon and topped with various ingredients such as veggies, cheese, chili, sauces, pastrami and carne asada. There are vegetarian (Impossible) dogs too. Want an extra kick? Add ghost pepper flakes, Flaming Hot Cheetos and Takis for a few extra bucks. Snoop's Dogg ($9.50) with traditional bun, Gin n' Juice Ketchup, Henny-O BBQ sauce, curtido, and billionaire bacon. I mean, how can I pass up trying this?! It was a bit of an interesting combination, but imagine taking bites of barbecued sausage, bacon, coleslaw, and toasty, soft bread all at once. It works! Elote Dog ($8.95) with traditional bun, corn, lime mayo, cotija cheese, cilantro and bacon bits. This dog was loaded with street corn, making it a little messy to eat, but it was really good! It would be even better if they had wine/sparkling wine or hard seltzers. Their latest DUI Dog brings the best of both worlds of pastrami and asada into one glorious masterpiece! As if it wasn't enough, it's got bacon bits and a beautiful aoili to top it off. Absolutely incredible time at dirt dog. It was my girlfriend and I's first time trying it, and we loved it. Good: As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the cashier. Although we were still unsure what to order, the cashier noticed and gave us a ton of recommendations telling us what people normally get and the staffs personal favorites. Very happy that I got to visit this beautiful city again. We ordered two dogs, one loaded fries and their signature elote corn. Very fulfilling and satisfied. 1. Snoop's dogg $9.50 before tax 2. Tapatio dog $8.95 before tax 3. Asada Fries $9.75 before tax 4. Tapatio elote corn $4.75 before tax There are two kinds of bread to choose for your hot dog buns and either one is butter grilled, very crispy on the outside and fluffy when you take a bite, perfectly combined with all the toppings plus the bacon wrapped hotdog flank. The fries themselves without any sauce and toppings are already well seasoned and you can taste the freshness in the potato, yet the toppings are not overpowering the fries so you won't feel too greasy and heavy. Last but not least, the signature Elote Corn; super juicy with natural sweetness, perfect sauce covered and every single bite is heavenly awesome!! Every food is just WOW!! You have the option to get the traditional bun or the lobster roll on all of their hot dogs. Tapatio Dog ($8.95) & Tapatio Corn ($4.75) Let me warn you that these are SPICY!! The corn is slathered with tapatio aioli - my tongue was burning the entire time, but I couldn't stop eating because the corn on the cob was so good. Personally, I don't think I'd get this particular one again since it was so fire, but I think I'd love the dirty corn, which is the mild version. Came by and visited my old college and decided to make my way around the neighborhood. I saw Dirt Dog and was curious about trying out their new Tapatio menu items so I decided to pop in! The Tapatio dog is filled with all sorts of spicy goodies. Like Serrano spread, red sauce, onions, bell peppers and Tapatio aioli! I was too scared to order that so I let the husband handle that one. I was more interested in that delicious looking Tapatio corn topped with queso fresco, Tapatio butter, and Tapatio aioli! When the order came out, the food looked delicious! I ate the corn and even though it was very spicy, it just tasted so good, I couldn't stop eating! Eventually I did have to take a break because the fire growing in my mouth was just too much to bear! But once it settled down, I ate the whole thing up! Will definitely get it again! I tasted the hot dog and as usual, Dirt Dog never disappoints! The two locations closest to me were both opened during the pandemic, I think: Downey and Long Beach. I finally made it into the LB spot tonight and they didn't disappoint! It was early evening / late afternoon on a Tuesday, so, it was quiet and not busy. The staff were all cleaning or prepping food but all were friendly and helpful. I had to try Snoop's Dogg - I mean, we're in Long Beach. Seriously yummmmm! I didn't know what curtido was and didn't even ask. That's the trust you can have with this place. I wouldn't hesitate to try everything they offer (and I will)! Here's the description from their menu. Theres finally a dirt dog in Long Beach! It's located in the planet fitness plaza and I think this used to be a dickeys bbq pit. The inside is so big and well decorated. You can get your photo taken and posted on their Polaroid wall. Dirt dog is always so good with their gourmet hot dogs. Everything is so flavorful and I love their pastrami dog and dui fries with pastrami. Their watermelon Agua frescas also never disappoint. The fries were very tasty and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. SUPER glad I got the chili cheese fries since the fries don't come with any sauces. The burger was juicy and had what I believe are caramelized onions on them paired with their house sauce. Patties are smashed down with that crisp you like on the edges and putter. Then topped with cheese that's melted. Makes for a great smash burger. It I believe their Smash Burger is exclusive to this location. The overall feel of the restaurant feels Modern with a salute to the city it's in Long Beach. This spot is the definite must try for locals and tourist. It will become a staple in your food rotation. I tried the single smash burger, and OMG this was so delicious, I really do feel like this is the best Smashburger that I have ever had. 10 out of 10 Hands-down, if you thought Win-dow was good, this gives them a run for their money.
