When I arrived at Discount Tire I was greeted by an individual named Joseph. I called into the store earlier that morning asking for a quote. He remembered me from a month earlier when I called with a similar inquiry asking me why I hadn't pulled the trigger yet. I explained that wet weather and nearly bald front tires humbled me that morning during my work commute as I was hydroplaning. He said he understood and would take care of me. We exchanged pleasantries for about 15 minutes and he convinced me he could meet or beat any competitors price. I left work early and arrived to the best service I've ever received a Discount Tire. Joseph was personable, professional and even asked me about having a young kiddo when he noticed my son's car seat in the back of the car. I felt valued which is a rare experience these days. I took my car initially to Costo to have a bolt removed and tire repaired. Costco was not able to help me based on the type of tire I had. They referred me to Discount Tire. I walked in at 5:30 (they close at 6). They looked at my tire and confirmed that it could be repaired. They worked me in and said it would be done by 6:45. They were spot on with the timing. I also learned that they are the preferred vendor for Rivian. Being a new Rivian owner, I did not know that but will definitely be brining my vehicle to this location. The service took 2hrs to replace the tire. I had a flat so I had to go their .. in hindsight I should have went to Costco or even Walmart . So I went back to work. They called me and OF COURSE THE TIRE WAS NIT FIXABLE... go figure... so of course a tire was I was quoted was going to be 240.. ok whatever..... when I get ther my bill is over 300 ... I look at the receipt and the tire they gave me was 280... I inquired and they guy say " oh I thought you wanted that one" you didn't but whatever.. so he tells me ... we will have to take that one off and put the 240 tire on... When I visited this store the salesman the helped me was professional and even went far enough to show me the price on-line on the same tire I at Costco. He not only beat their price, but lowered it to meet an even cheaper priced tire. As I sat waiting for them to install for new tires, I couldn't help but notice how polite and professional everyone was at this store. The only head shaking moment came when the technician couldn't find the wheel locks, he quickly suggested that they break them off. Hmmm... No, just look a little harder. My husband and I brought my car in to get new tires. I had previously purchased the Tirelli scorpion zero tires here a year ago. A guy named Justin was working the counter and he helped us. Beware, he sucks! We told him the tires we needed and he said they don't have those tires. Weird because we purchased them here. He told us they don't carry the tires and once again we told him we got them here. He pulled up our account and was able to see we purchased them here previously. He then changed his wording and said they just don't keep them in stock because no one uses those tires. Really? No one? It's a sport tire that came on my vehicle. I find it VERY strange that no one would use the tire. I can't be the only person in the world to use them. He presented us with another tire that was $100 more. We told him we wanted the tires we requested. We asked that he call the vendor and have some sent. Justin got really annoyed by this. He made a call to the vendor and ordered the tires. He made us put down a $50 deposit for the tires and said he would call when they came in. When the tires came in we brought my car and Justin said it would be an hour and twenty minutes to put the tires on and that he would call us. Two hours later and still no call we decided to go in. No one was inside so we had to wait a bit. Finally when Justin came we told him we were there to get our car. He said it would be $550 and asked for our card. He didn't even bother to review the charges so we knew what was done. My husband ask him to review the work done. Justin looked at him for a second as if my husband was joking, then turned the computer monitor and pointed at the screen and said "there." Lol thanks buddy. When we had paid out and gotten our receipt, Justin handed us the keys. I asked where the car was because I noticed it wasn't in the parking lot or pulled up front. He pointed across the street to a separate lot. Seriously?!? I have a baby with me and you park my car across the street, yet I'm watching all the other tech's park peoples cars in yalls lot. Some were even nice enough to pull peoples cars up to the front and park it there! When I got in my car and turned it on, the tire pressure light Carmen back on again. I pulled my car around to the tire pressure check area and the guy working it told me to pull into bay 2 so they could turn it off. I pulled in the bay and saw Justin coming out to me. In the most annoyed tone he asked "what's wrong now?" Just to be a pain, I replied back "I don't know, you tell me!" That annoyed him more and made me laugh a little inside. One of the techs brought over a little electrical box of some sort, did his magic and said everything was ready to go. No comment from Justin of course. He just went inside without so much of a "goodbye" or "have a good day." Overall I would say this is the worst experience I've ever had at a tire place. Justin is miserable to work with. I went there to replace one tire because I had hoped a curb and busted it. It turns out after examining my tires that the tread was low on three of them and the fourth was not far from being to low. So I just decided to replace them all. When the sales associate and I went back in well I thought in my mind he would try to sell me the most expensive tires. Showed up on time never knew of it really helped to make an appt or not but the nice young man helping me said it does and they will get you out in a hour or less. Good to know. Everyone was so nice and kind to all the customers coming in. They acknowledged all that walked in the door pretty quick letting them know they knew they were there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION Typically, discount tire does a great, and they have on my vehicles. Actually, they service and speed I will comment on later. The main problem is what happened to my porsche. I ordered tires a week ago, they came in, and I made an appointment in advance. No issues there. Got there early, gave them my keys, and started to walk over to home depot for some diy projects at home. The guy driving it went into bay #2 and started driving it on their ramp. I didn't think anything of it. Came back and my car was in bay#1 on car jacks, which looks right. HOWEVER, they never wanted to say why they switched bays. I will tell you why. On the ramp, they hit my side skirts, damaging them, and moved the car to bay one so they can use the jack stands with pucks. I have a claim with the company about this damage. Anyway, I did not know this happened until I walked out and when I was getting in, I noticed my side skirt coming off. I went in, and I spoke with Barry the manager. However, he stated discount tire will do nothing about this because of the aftermarket installation and etc. It is lower, and they are not liable. When i asked about their video surveillance, he said they had none. When I asked about who worked on it, he stated they used jack stands with pucks. When I asked about why it was switched bays, he stated it never was switched. He reinstated discount tire will do nothing about the damage. He did state he would start a claim, and I called to make sure this was started. One a previous note- Discount tire has worked on this car twice, without damaging it. Actually, they have done a good job. This location has worked on this car. In the past, discount tire has worked on my BMWS, lowered with aftermarket side skirts, etc. No issue there. Poor business practice, and the lying about the bay. damaging my car, and putting the blame on cars specs. So wrong in many ways. read more

Showed up at 430 to have a flat tire fixed. I had already removed the wheel so they just had to patch it. They were having everyone wait in their cars outside and a tech would come to you. No biggie, except they didn't pay attention to which cars were showing up when and two cars who arrived after me got attention first which pushed me into a longer wait. Then they say 1.5 hours to fix it, no problem I'll drop it and come back when ready. But then they never called before they closed so I figured maybe they were a bit behind and would call a few minutes after they closed. Around 630 I drove up there to find a closed store and nobody there. I guess my quick patch job was too much for the day and now I have to make another trip in the morning and be late for work. Wow- how quickly does road tax, safety inspection and vehicle service tick over. This year all the planets came into alignment and everything had to be done in the same month. I dont normally review none food places, but I was so happy with my experience here - I just had to write about it. I love my car, its a luxury sports SUV. It leaps out of its shoes when I ask it too and in handles like its on rails in all conditions - rain snow or shine. Ive owned the car since new, and Ive never bought tyres in the US before. Meh, I thought - Id stick to the kind that came with the vehicle, then set about pricing for new shoes on line. I renewed my membership at Costcos and off I went. Costco was a heaving mass of people over the weekend - so too was their tyre bay. I sort of felt like a battery hen get squirted my daily ration of food and water, after being told they couldnt fit me in. Disappointed I drove home and happened to pass this discount tyre shop and pulled in. I had never heard of this place before. As a walk in - the customer area was clean and well air conditioned. It had the compulsory tire and custom wheel displays. other folks were comfortably waiting, reading a book or magazine. The joker who served me was courteous, and genuine, stepping me through the process of tire selection. He knew the manufacturer supplied tyres and walked me through a few other options comparing performance and quality against price. The bloke was well informed about the products and eventually steered me to some bridge-stones of equivalent quality but for a much better price than what I already had. This guy was no nonsense - friendly and Non hard sell. He let me lean over the counter and look at his computer screen as we talked. He won my confidence, saved me a boat load of money (at least a meal and a few beers worth) with an additional $70 manufactures rebate special. It is now 4:45 and they close at 5. I was expecting the "can you come back tomorrow so we can fit them sir. It didnt happen - "we'll have those on you car in a jiffy". Come bill time - the guy who served me went through the itemised bill, and explained the few extra's for things like tire pressure gauges ect for the electronic tire monitores etc. No surprises, and all above board. He asked me where I kept the lock nut for the wheels and then then the guy grabbed my keys and drove the car straight into a by when the magical tyre pixies started to get to work. The guy who served me drove my car - the tire pixies did not so props for not getting my car dirty. The waiting area was clean with complementary chilled bottle water, and coffee. As I read my book a guy must have swished by 2 or 3 time to remove any trash - in fact I had to keep my water close to me otherwise it would get cleaned up. There were no sweaty grease monkeys in the customer area, and the place did not smell like a typical tyre shop / garage in mid summer. 5 o'clock came and went. As they locked the door the guys told me not to worry they'll get it done. I watched through the observation window to make sure the job wasn't being unduly rushed. Once the job was complete. hand over of keys, wheel lock key, run through the bill again, instructions on how how to claim the additional manufacturers rebate. Quick inspection of the car, and we were done. In all it was an A1 experience - quick - efficient, and a good deal. Who would've thunk getting new tyres would be this easy. Thank you Discount Tyres for exceeding my expectations. 9and staying a bit later to finish the job properly) Foot note: I also watched how the guy handled a little old lady and another lady who wasn't very confident about tyre buying. I've always been a fan of DT, but on this particular Friday evening, at about 4:30 PM, I found myself with a pending flat and just across the Tollway from this store. I limped into the parking lot and found Jud, the manager, who checked out my about-to-blow-out rear tire. He didn't have it in stock, (damn the dealer who loaded "cool wheels" on my car) but he checked two other sources: his own supplier and a competitor down the road. The competitor had it in tomorrow, but so did Jud, tomorrow. And Jud had it for a few bucks less. I personally love merchants who will sacrifice a sale for the sake of a customer's convenience, so I said I'd wait until tomorrow. The sales staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, providing compassionate advice without any high-pressure sales tactics. Service is fast considering the high volume of customers at any given time. I recommend buying the tire replacement certificates on all your tires. Bought a set for my Carolla in May and took a nail in the sidewall yesterday. Thanks to the tire replacement certificates I purchased, Discount Tire is replacing it at no cost. Like all their stores, this location is always well stocked and most likely has exactly the tires you need. Also, be sure to take advantage of their free tire rotation service every 6000 miles. I think we all know that buying tires for you vehicle isnt much fun and usually expensive... Here they made it about as easy as it could be...but I had also done quite a bit of research as to which tires I wanted. I happened to go in when they were not busy and since they had my tires in stock, they were able to get my truck in very quickly and out in about 30 min. If you ask me, that is pretty darn good service. I guess these guys knew something about customer service because they were putting tires on a Maserati and nobody in the waiting area was complaining. Speaking of the waiting area, it was very clean and had a mini fridge stocked with complimentary water. Heck, even the work area was clean and the techs were in the shop singing (not very good however), joking and laughing as they worked. Whomever worked on my truck was nice enough to let me know that my truck did not have a spare in the back and they saved the best of my old tires to be put on a wheel that I'll have to buy later. This was my first visit to this location and they were very fast and friendly even with me going in an hour before they closed for the day. I was able to get the same tire that the BMW dealership wanted me to get but I saved $300. Discount tire will continue to be my go to tire place. I've been happy with Discount Tire until now...including over 10 new sets of tires on our 4 vehicles over the last 10 years. Anyhow, their insistence that I pay $8 a wheel (over new tire price) for TPMS rebuild kits was troubling after 80k miles on that car without any TPMS trouble. The tires were fine for the first 10k miles, but then a slow leak developed in one...not in the tire and not in the rim. The first time I took it in they declined to look hard enough to sort it, bad mouthed the last guy to touch the tire (Discount Tire a few blocks away), and reset the system to get me off the lot. Now 5k miles of fighting a slow leak and trouble lights later, they offered 3 theories before agreeing to actually inspect the tire. I type this from their lobby as I wait for that, but only after overhearing and seeing them make a note to replace the tire at my expense...still having not looked at it.
