A special shout out to Scott from Doc Green's!! We use a few of the delivery services for food delivery now due to the COVID issue. More often than not the deliveries are messed up, turned upside down, missing items or cold because they've dropped off 2 orders before mine. Last week and many times DoorDash completely blows our orders and basically says "oh well, sorry for your bad luck" and does nothing to correct it. Today at Doc Greens we were missing two brownies and my wife called to see if they were indeed put in the order. Regardless, Scott asked no questions and said "I'll bring them right to you". Scott brought them before we even finished lunch! BJ's, and Jason's Deli have said the same thing...sucks to be you. Not Scott....don't know if he owns the place or what but he just brought them out and we about fell over. Top level customer service and always great food, but today Scott just got our business permanently. Still just amazed that in these times where customer service or the lack thereof can be your deathnail, Scott showed the true way service industry used to be. Amazing Scott and kudos to you! Customer Service is at the top of my list when it comes to any place I go to eat. At Doc Green's the service is unbeatable, as a college student I'm always careful of my spendings but I always find myself back there for another tasty meal. Furthermore, with every great team there is a leader. Devin hands down has been one of the coolest guy's i've met. I can tell the staff and everyone around him has but the utmost respect for his leadership and dedication. Don't be hesitant to ask what to try, he'll definitely give you a great recommendation. Now for the FOOD! My go to is definitely the southwestern steak wrap with a side of Mac n Cheese. I never get tired of it and the flavors hit every taste bud in my mouth. GREAT restaurant, if you want to get food poisoning. I came here with my family. Out of about 8 people, my dad and I were the only ones who ordered the same thing. We were also the only ones to get really sick several hours later. I know food poisoning happens at even the cleanest dining establishments, and that most people who've eaten here probably haven't gotten food poisoning, but this place didn't seem that clean (given the location), and since these types of restaurants generally prepare food in bulk, I'm almost positive that anyone who ate the same thing that we did on that day probably had the same experience. My brother is not a fan of this place. Why? Because he simply can't stand lettuce. Or tomotoes. Needless to say, a restaurant called Doc Green's would send any lettuce-hating guy running screaming into the fog. So let's just praise 'im that I've got a more open mind. An open mind that enjoys the turkey panini, and, a discovery from my most recent visit, the chicken salad sandwich (with just a hint of curry). I usually love doc greens cause great food and all, but today went in slow night, only one staff was nice and helped us, the others seemed to be too distracted talking to each other and prob not pay attention to the food, cause first off took the cashier awhile to ring up our order cause their convo with their coworker was more important then a customer! We got our food and it was very dry, no sauce, barely any seasoning. I love their Dr. Buffalo Chicken salad. I used to be obsessed and would get it at least once every three days. I usually get my food within six minutes. No lie. I originally wanted to give this 4 stars because their sirloin steak panini did not impress me but I changed it back to 5 stars because of the exceptional service. Admittedly, I avoided Doc Green's like the plague. Why? Late-onset teenage rebellion I suppose. When a salad place is stationed next to frozen yogurt, an angst-filled, heart-broken twenty-something is likely to choose frozen yogurt over any salad. But then there that day when the clouds cleared, and my body started craving peculiar things...like spinach. So I ventured into Doc Greens. As crowded as Chuck-E-Cheeze on a Saturday, the line at the Doc's wound around the partition. Surprisingly, jumpy children spiraled around parents, begging for a cookie or mac n' cheese. I opted for a build your own salad, assembled with fresh spinach, dried cranberries, feta cheese and black beans. Much to my chagrin, no chickpeas were available. The honey mustard dressing is a must, sweet and slightly spicy, it's a loving topping without the fat of blue cheese or dairy laden ranch. Though DG touts many gluten free options, I'm not entirely convinced cross-contamination isn't an impossibility. Unless you specifically ask for no pita, you will be served a salad with a slice of wheat bread. And the meat is cut in the same area as the breaded chicken tenders. I sat here and scrolled my mouse over the 2 stars...then 3 stars...then back to 2, and back to 3. I'd like to say 2 1/2 stars but 3 will suffice. I've never been a huge fan of places like this where you shuffle through a line and have someone make a salad for you as you watch patiently behind an over-sized sneeze-guard. However, they do a really great job here and their salads are delicious. I like getting the Greek Salad with salmon personally and a cup of the Tomato Bisque. It's Kansas so of course there are plenty of salad options that are not at all salads, things that have Buffalo Wings and Ranch dressing. Their wraps are good, the soups are only okay, and its always crowded when I go with a line waiting to order. They do have beer and wine which is a nice touch but you'll end up drinking it right next to some stranger as their seating arrangement is very European with tables lined up directly next to each other. I would be happy to consider Docs a 3 or 4 star place if it wasn't for my last experience there where I contracted a bacteria toxin from their lettuce. My doctor said it was pretty common of these salad places and I wasn't the first Docs customer to come in complaining of an illness from them. It took me 2 weeks to get the toxin out of my system and it wasn't a pleasant experience to say the least. Since then I've been wary of all salads I will confess, but I have not had the courage to go back to Doc Greens and order a salad. Namely, I didn't LOVE the salad enough to go back and risk getting sick again...so I ask myself, was the salad what I liked about this place or was it the speed? It was the speed. If you like options, this would be a decent lunch option for you. As for the indecisive type, be ready to ponder/stare at the menu. Not only do you have to choose what type of entree (paninis/sandwiches/salads) but you also need to decide if you want to pair it with a soup or a side like macaroni and cheese or mashed potatoes or salads or vegetables to name a few. The possibilities are endless. This is a great place to grab lunch with a group of people who have different preferences. There are many healthy choices and also not-so-healthy options. I had the California Chicken Panini with a side of Macaroni and Cheese. Not bad. The Panini was ok and the Mac was good. Pretty mediocre lunch spot. Atmosphere wasn't anything special, service was okay, food wasn't anything to write home about. I probably wouldn't recommend it or return. I haven't been to a quick dining concept with a build your own salad concept. This is like Chipotle with greens! They have a salad menu, but building my own is more fun. Mine was: Mixed greens, ham, egg, blue cheese, tomato, cranberry, and candied nuts with a light toss of Greek vinegarette. Delicious, and all the ingredients were good. Came into town for a basketball tournament and our entire team, parents, and coaches fell in love with this place. Their menu has delicious salads, soups, sandwiches, and even comfort foods like chicken strips, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Over the weekend, we came in three times. I was driving through The Waterfront commercial and retail space when I came upon Doc Green's. The salad concept is interesting, and I thought I had managed to find the one restaurant in the area that isn't part of a franchise. Wah wah: Doc Green's has six locations in Georgia and two in Wichita. Still, places like this with only a handful of other locations still might have a chance to retain some quality, so I checked it out. Salads are the selling point for Doc's, so I figured a salad would be right for me. The thing is, I don't really like salads all that much. I don't have a problem with the individual components, but lettuce is boring, it's difficult to get a bite of everything, crunchy components like nuts and croutons are nearly impossible to stab with a fork, and the dressing often completely covers up everything else. As my eyes wandered down the menu, I grew more and more indifferent until I came upon the vegetable salad - "field greens, grilled zucchini & yellow squash, grilled portabella mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onion, avocados, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing." I like vegetables, and this salad didn't appear to feature these veggies so much as they did place them on even footing with the leafy stuff. I ordered it with some grilled chicken. Everything came together in the salad well, and I actually enjoyed it, despite the greens. The only drawback was the grilled chicken, which was so pale and flavorless that I regret wasting my money on this medallion of processed meat that was once part of a bird. I do appreciate the healthy angle of Doc Green's but from a salad perspective, Dillon's operates a decent salad bar from 9 AM - 6 PM that will get you most of the way there. They offer wraps and paninis, too, but given my bad experience with the protein, I'm not in any rush to try them. read more

I was pretty happy with Doc's... I just wanted a salad and a little protein boost, got the Dr. Detroit with steak and it hit the spot. My salad had spinach, BACON and mushrooms... with the added steak it was a good combo, plus, you can't go that wrong with bacon. I was delivering for Doordash and I got an offer for doc greens. I called ahead so that my order and the order I was picking up would be ready at the same time. I am allergic to lettuce and don't really like the black beans or corn so I asked the lady to take it off. When I got there it was wrong and also both were late so I had to leave without my food and I was going to come back for it. By the time I drove 8 minutes there and 8 minutes back my food still wasn't done. They said they didn't know if I still wanted the food. Doc greens isn't cheap. Of course I want my food. I asked for a refund but they said they couldn't because the food was already done. All in all my orders were late my food was cold and I will not go to this location again. read more

This is a great place to go for lunch. They have great options for salads, sandwiches, wraps, etc. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. I like the various side options available too. It is nice to have options other than fries or chips for a side. My favorite sides are the mushrooms or the grilled squash. They typically don't take long to get your order out to you either. Walked in at 8pm. Place was completely empty but half of the tables were full of food that needed to be bused. Even the table we sat down at was dirty (napkins and food underneath the table) and I had to wipe the seat off. I found this gem after getting burnt out on Panera salads/grocery store salad bars and a friend made this recommendation. I checked out the menu online and all the calorie counts are listed so you can easily filter down to what you're looking for ;) I opted for the Dr Grilled Veggie salad (chopped). It had a plethora of grilled veggies on crunchy lettuce with a generous serving of chopped avocado. So good and filling! I think the prices are appropriate for serving size. For a place so highly rated on google and Yelp, this place was SO disappointing. The extra star is solely for the quality of their ingredients. I ordered the Cuban panini with mac & cheese; my husband ordered the California chicken panini with grilled zucchini and squash. I should have known better than to trust a Cuban with turkey on the ingredient list, but this is a healthy joint in Kansas, so give it a try, eh? No. No tries should be given. The meat on both sandwiches, while good and actually not processed lunchmeat, was way too thick. The bread was a French roll, which does not a panini make, and there was too much cheese. It overwhelmed the "flavor" of the sauces. My husband was originally served the wrong sandwich, and when they gave him the correct sandwich, it had avocado which he had requested be left off. Disappointing service is sadly a theme we continue to find in Wichita. Our sides were underwhelming as well. His vegetables were grilled and unevenly over-seasoned with paprika. My mac & cheese tasted only of black pepper and the noodles were mushy. By taste, there was no indication there was any cheese in the dish. All in all, we will not be returning. I think i could make better salads at home and (healthier ones at that) its just really not that good. Will i still come here sure its not going to hurt me but not my first pick either. The mac and cheese is either a hit or miss sometimes it just tastes WEIRD. and the place can also have a really weird smell/oder too on some days ive gone in. for the price your paying in a $10-14 dollar salad you should expect better. This is a GREAT place for lunch. I've tried many of their dishes and frequently eat there (for lunch -- I'm not so sure about it for dinner). I particularly love their cheesy chicken tortilla soup! I prefer their wraps over their salads (which their wraps are like a salad contained in a tortilla), but do enjoy their salads too. I do find that the price you pay to add some meat to your salad and what you actually get doesn't always match up (i.e. they seem skimpy on the meat). The atmosphere is VERY noisy though, so it is not a great place to go if you are interested in socializing. read more

This is by far the best restaurant in Wichita, and healthiest. I am definitely a salad and wrap fan. What I love about this place is that it is not just salads and wraps! You can get sandwiches, entrees (including steak, fresh roasted turkey and ham, etc ) , chicken lasagna and four different kinds of soups! I come here almost 6 days a week and the food gets better everytime! Everytime I come here the employees are friendly and great. I love Doc Greens! I went to Doc Green's for the first time today(01/22/20), and it was pretty awful. I had the build your own salmon salad, it cost me about $16 with the few extra toppings I added to it, and it was way too expensive for what it was. The salmon was horrible, and you could tell it had been frozen and heated up about 10 times over, and the salad itself was just average. I will not go back, its way too expensive and not good. This restaurant is amazing. Not only is it fresh but the crispy chicken is the bomb.com. The chicken on the salad is amazing. I get the Dr. Asian Sesame, it explodes with flavor. From the sweet oranges to the tangy tomatoes. This place is the only doctor you will ever need to go to. read more

Been here once before and i will say that the experince last time was much better. Had the salmon pinini which was ok. One of the sides that is offered was corn cassarole. Wow, this was far from any corn cassatole that i've ever had. More like stuffing mix with a little corn and ALOT of oil. Do not recommend at all. read more

You know, I am really surprised this place has averaged 3 stars...really. Every single time I visit, there is a long line and the place is packed. This place offers a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads (and more) and a great selection for the little kiddos. I LOVE the tomato basil soup, it is sooo good but not as hot as I prefer-that's annoying. The staff is friendly and the place has a nice vibe. This place accommodates office gatherings and offers outside seating as well - nice. Just watched the guy help with cash register and go back to making food without changing his gloves.
