Sirloin (Comes with a wilted Salad, new buttered potatoes, best garlic buttered toast & fresh cut fries!!!

Well, let me just say.... STEAK HEAVEN!!! Ever had a steak literally melt in your mouth, this place has it. Such a UNIQUE Family style of servings come with your Per. Pound Steak of Choice!!! Let me just say, the crispiest outer crust almost like a burnt end, but the tenderness of the steak... WOW, WOW, WOW! So grab some friends and head right over, don't dress up, it's a hole in the wall, with old table coverings to boot! But the Food is far from old, it's FRESH, HOT & TASTY!!

Came here for our last dinner in town and my coworkers had been the year prior. I knew what to expect going into it since they'd talked about how much food you get and how the sides aren't the best but the meat itself is good. I got the 8 oz filet and swapped the dressed salad for a regular house salad. I thought the filet was okay, I ordered medium rare and it came pretty well done compared to my coworkers who also ordered medium rare. I also thought the marinade was a bit too salty. My favorite part of the meal was the fries, they were delicious and crispy. The toast that comes with it is pretty good and we didn't touch the potatoes. I still think they need some more varied sides instead of all carbs, but I was glad to have the salad. It's definitely a dive inside, but our waitress was super sweet. I would probably return and ask that my steak be cooked a little rarer to make sure it isn't as well done.

Great food good service ! Ordered the tamales and corn fritters for appetizers. Then the T bone steak family style. This includes salad, new potatoes and the steak is served on a hot platter covered with hand cut fries!

Neat little spot. Burger was pretty good. I would recommend and eat there again if I were close.

Small local owned establishment which does a few specific things well. The atmosphere is very down to earth, service is friendly and food portions are great for sharing family style. I was visiting the area and I walked in alone, I was welcomed with a very friendly attitude which I appreciated. I looked around to see folks enjoying massive cuts of steak, wonderful looking fried shrimp, tamales and salads along w/ hand cut fries which I'm a big fan of. I had been out and about from very early morning and had not stopped to eat all day so I ordered a triple cheeseburger w/ sautéed onions and fixings. The bun was soft and held up almost to the end, the patties looked to be about 6oz each and there were 3 slices of cheese. The fry portion was just right and again a favorite for me. Prices were excellent, especially for the portion sizes and everyone was smiling and enjoying themselves while heartily trying to take down the oversized portions of food on each and every table. Absolutely plan on visiting again and again during my next few visits in the months to come. I can heartily recommend Does's eats for a casual meal when your appetite is really kicking

Doe's Eat Place was recently voted into the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame. Attentive service, outstanding steak, tasty tamales, all in an old-school dive. It's a Little Rock institution!

Doe's is one of those places that all the people visiting the river market have to go to. Truth is that it's good but there are places cheaper that taste better. I've eaten at Doe's many times. Never have I had to send back a steak. The cooks do a very good job. Everyone talks about the tamales, there ok. Finally their homemade cakes are very good. Now the service. I have never gotten good service here. It's always been average. Also there is no local beer, or any beer for that matter, on tap here. Honestly this place is extremely over rated. It's always crowded, the food is expensive, the service is average, Bill Clinton said this was his favorite place to eat, I don't think he tried to go to other places.

Great place to check out while in Little Rock. Tamales were solid, chili was watery, but a fun casual atmosphere for lunch.

When I made the reservation for 3 I specifically asked that we "not be seated next to a kitchen or bathroom," and we were seated right next to both. There was an endless stream of people/bodies throughout the entire meal, and it was disappointing to make a simple request that could not be filled. Secondly, I ordered the Chilean sea bass and was underwhelmed by the dish. The fish felt slightly overcooked, so I only ate a bite and focused on my sides. Those two things aside, this was actually a nice experience. Our server, Haita (an attractive young man from Morocco with piercing blue eyes and a delightful accent) made up for the seating disappointment with excellent service. He was attentive, brought and presented food in a timely manner, and was knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu...we'd gone here specifically for lamb chops because someone in my party had been craving them. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and lamb chops were not on the curated, Valentine's menu (we dined on the 15th). We considered leaving to find lamb chops elsewhere, but we ultimately stayed and the person in my party ordered a ribeye instead. GREAT choice. It was a beautiful cut of meat, cooked to medium-well perfection, and perfectly spiced. There's always a chance that when a place doesn't put salt/pepper on the table that they've wildly overestimated their abilities to cater to the general palate. Not so here. It was a treat to discover that everything that came to the table was perfectly spiced. The ribeye had a perfect char on it, the juices were succulent, and the meat was fantastically tender. According to one of my guests, it was "divine." She also used the same word to describe the shrimp and lobster bisque, but I disagreed. In all honesty, the best thing about this dish was the presentation (I made a little video, so you'll see what I mean!). This just felt like a regular lobster bisque with a piece of shrimp tossed in (on a crostini) to "fancy it up." I wasn't too impressed, but the other at the table seemed to enjoy it. The decor is lovely: old-world steakhouse vibes with dark wood paneling, bold artwork on the walls that speaks to the state's leisure culture, and a beautiful bar area. The decor alone can rival that of any steakhouse in a major metropolitan city on the East or West coast. From the truncated menu we ordered the ribeye, the Chilean sea bass (with green beans), mashed potatoes, asparagus, and copious drinks. Make sure you order your asparagus grilled, you won't be disappointed. Perfect seasoning and perfect texture, truly. The lemon drop cocktail is a winner for anyone who likes a sweet beverage. I've never known Maker's Mark to disappoint, and you can't mess up a Gin & Tonic. But throw in some fancy beveled glasses, and heavy encrusted tumblers, and you've got yourself a drinking experience. I love visiting the bathrooms in places like this to see if the overall aesthetic tracks to all of the guest spaces, and unfortunately here it did not. It's just an okay bathroom that feels like a bit of an afterthought, but I get it. It's a bathroom. I just couldn't help but expect someone close to grand (grand-ish) given what the front of the house looked like. One thing I did see which I cannot end my review without mentioning is the attention to detail the servers placed on the small things. It did not take more than 2 minutes for a dirty table to be cleaned and completely re-set. The bussers move quickly! The waitstaff moves with purpose and incorporates the tiny details into their regular routine. Thanks to the unglamorous seating nearly the kitchen/bathroom I had a chance to see how the waitstaff handled plates/cutlery/etc. The wine glass cabinet was to our right, and I was impressed to see EACH AND EVERY SERVER who pulled a glass take the time to hold the glass up to the light to check for smudges before using them with the guest. Glasses that weren't clean weren't just wiped and used, they were put away with the dirty dishes and staff pulled another glass. It was impressive to see this was clearly a part of their training to which the waitstaff adhered. Finally. There's serious sticker shock with this place, but that's going to happen if you go to a decent steakhouse. This was better than decent, my friends. If I had it all to do over again, I'd get a steak from a steakhouse and stop trying to chase the Nobu-inspired Chilean sea bass high I got hooked on a few years back in Vegas. I was in a kingdom of red meat and got the fish. Girl, bye.

It felt like we were catching up with an old friend, even though we'd only met him once--more than a year ago. Everyone was incredibly kind, from the hostesses to the manager to our phenomenal server. For our entrées, we chose the chicken and the halibut, and both were absolutely outstanding. The biggest surprise, though, was the sweet potatoes! Randy explained how they're prepared, and let's just say it's far beyond my kitchen skills--which means I'll definitely be back for them. We ended the meal with the blueberry bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect finish. Paired with the delicious cocktail Randy recommended, I was in heaven. I live more than 2 1/2 hours away, but anytime I'm in town, this will absolutely be my go-to restaurant. Outstanding food, exceptional service, and an experience that's well worth the drive.

Unfortunately, the bartender seemed to have no sense of urgency. Instead of checking in with us, she spent an extended period chatting with the departing patrons who had already closed out. Meanwhile, a manager was standing at the end of the bar the whole time, seemingly aimless, and never stepped in to redirect her or check on us despite how obvious the situation was. After several minutes with no drinks and no acknowledgment, I had to walk over to the hostess stand myself just to get a menu. Twenty minutes in, we still hadn't received our drinks, so we told her to cancel the order and let her know we were leaving. She genuinely seemed surprised when we explained how long we'd been waiting, which was surprising in itself given she was the one who left us sitting there -- and the manager standing right there did nothing to help. With only two other guests at the bar, this should have been an easy shift. Disappointing experience and won't be back!

The steak was very tender and flavorful. The veggies were seasoned well and were prepared al dente which I prefer. It was so much food and I couldn't finish it all. I didn't have anything to drink besides water, but the drink menu featured specialty cocktails like the Caipirinha and the Caipiroska. They also offered other cocktails, wine, beer, and NA beverages. The calamari had a nice little kick to it, the caviar deviled eggs were just okay in my opinion, but the cheesesteak eggrolls absolutely stole the show and were probably my favorite thing we ordered. For dinner, I got the filet mignon. It was good, but as far as steaks go, it probably wouldn't make my personal top 10. The lobster mac & cheese, however, was really creamy and flavorful, and I enjoyed that a lot. Well, I am happy to report that it IS true, that Petit & Keet is an outstanding restaurant. We made it in, in time for their terrific happy hour at the bar. Packed at 5:00 PM on a Tuesday (who woulda thunk that?) we were able to squeeze in and jump in on their goodies. The HH Menu was so appealing we would up just tasting several things; for starters, their signature frozen drink, the Peechy Keet, was absolutely phenomenal (it might also be because it was over 100 degrees outside). Not too sweet, nicely fruity and packing a punch. The Crudites was atypical with a larger assortment of veggies (including some tasty Sheshido peppers) and a really, unique and delish hummus. Next up; the Tuna Tostada. This could actually be my favorite item on the menu; sashimi grade tuna on a larger Tostada, perfectly marinated. Yummy. We topped things off with the Empanadas' that were also delectable; plenty of filling, not overly fried so as to be firm but chewable. I can't believe we wound up being stuffed, and sadly, it prevented us from diving into what looked like some wonderful entrees. Next time! A special note to the management; your bartender (sorry, her name escapes me, but she's in the pic with my wife and me) was as phenomenal as the food & drink (and the decor; sorry I hadn't mentioned that before, but it is a lovely space). She was everything (and more) for what someone behind the bar should be, an expert concotionist, professional, fun (and funny) and on top of everything at a packed bar/restaurant. Can you say "deserves a raise" with me? Also, loved the story of the place on the menu. It feels great to see a local place like Petit and Keet deliver top notch food, service and environment.
