Decent deals here, especially if you sit at the bar. We ordered the holy aioli burger, polish chili dog, onion rings, and southwest tots. Southwest tots has a cheese sauce that coagulates fast and seems unappetizing. This is a solid place to grab food. Check out their happy hour deal at the bar! They have some draft beers and seltzers. For some reason, the lavender lemonade is popular. I tried it, but it does not taste good.

Das Brat
Sharon G.

Was walking around the area and decided to stop by dog haus for a quick bite. They had a big menu of different styles of hot dogs and sausages! They also had super affordable sides. My friend and I tried the das brat which was yummy, it was topped with caramalized onions, sauerkraut, and brown mustard, and served on a hawaiian roll. We also got the sweet potato fries and onion rings. The onion rings were super affordable! Less than $4 for the order.

Breakfast burrito
James A.

With 24 locations in California, Dog Haus is one of the bigger purveyors of hot dogs in the area. I have been to this location before, but this was the first time during breakfast hours to get one of their famous breakfast burritos. It was OK, enough to end up eating the whole thing in one sitting when my initial intention was only half. Their entire menu (including draft beer) is available all-day. The on-site menu is a bit different than what is shown on their web ordering site, so after a bit adjusting, ordered their sausage burrito ($11.99) with added avocado (+$.99). You pay first, then wait a bit while the burrito is made and grilled. I do like their various sausages and their tater tots (very crunchy), so with the choice of runny sunny side eggs (instead of the typical scrambled), hoping it would be great, changing how I like these. Nah....wouldn't be able to put this near my top, definitely OK, but not excellent. They have no salsa, instead providing a spicy mayo and packets of cholula...any sort of picante or salsa would have been a lot better. And I wish there was a way to keep the potatoes crunchy....sounds impossible to do, but have had others that they were able to exactly do that. Plus for a place that serves gourmet sausages, the sage sausage in the burrito was just average. And the white american cheese wasn't noticeable. Just need more filling, better distributed, with a way to add some fresh salsa.

Haus/bacon: 3 sunny side up eggs, smoked bacon, white American cheese, crispy tater tots, caramelized onions + spicy mayo = $10.99
Trung N.

While I do love a regular ole breakfast burritos, I love a breakfast burrito on steroids even more. I tried two: -Haus or bacon ($10.99): 3 sunny side up eggs, smoked bacon, white American cheese, crispy tater tots, caramelized onions, spicy mayo -Borracho or hangover ($12.49): 3 sunny side up eggs, smoked bacon, Haus chili, white American cheese, crispy tater tots, mayo I think the combination of caramelized onions and melted white American cheese in the original Haus was a little too much in a breakfast burrito. For a burger? Absolutely. For a breakfast burrito? Not so much. Of the two, I preferred the Borracho/hangover more despite it having chili (go figure). Honestly, the chili was really subtle and only now did I realize there was chili in my burrito. Honestly, the combination of the chili, melty cheese, etc. etc. tasted much like a hangover cure though I enjoyed it non-hungover. Yes of course it was decadent, but I'm absolutely here for it. Hotdogs and breakfast burritos in the Dog Haus - what more could you want?

Pastrami Burrito

Tried the pastrami breakfast burrito. Having tater tots in it made it crunchy, comes with a side of spicy mayo. A bit pricey at $15 with tax, but can use inKind to save.

Little Mule Burger double w/pastrami and tater tots on the side

Dog haus is so good! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious! I came in to host Boombox Bingo on Thursdays and was met with such a friendly staff that I see treat everyone with respect! This last time, I went with my friend and we ordered the Bad Motha Clucka w/grilled chicken (they had it fried as well) with a side of fries and the Little Mule made as a double and added pastrami with a side of tater tots (which i prefer over the fries). The location is chill! It wasnt too full and from what i saw, the wait is never too long! You can dine in or take out, but I enjoyed the vibe of dining in! Very open, veey clean, not too loud and they have some sort of sport playing if youre into that. Parking is right across the street at Harvey Milk parking lot. 2 hours free parking and $2 every 30 minutes after that! All in all! Highly reccomend!

Food and service are awesome here! Even better when it's happy hour! We stumbled in cause we saw the bar and the game playing. To our surprise the bar was a cool vibe

Cheeseburger slider, tots, and a corn dog slider during happy hour
Nicolas J.

Been here more times than I can even think to count. Not normally hot dog or sausage person but the meat here is definitely higher quality. The burgers are good including the sliders even. The happy hour deals are nice and the store has tvs and a bar if that's your kinda thing. The love boat tots are a fave. I like their new el gallo tenders and sandwich, the holy aoli is another good sandwich. Decent parking at a lot near by they also do mobile ordering and catering. A nice interior quick service and nestled in downtown Long Beach, a good solo or date night dining location

Bronco Burrito
Mariah M.

Ordered pickup for a breakfast burrito and I will be doing so again! I ordered the bronco and I swapped out the white American cheese for cheddar, scrambled eggs with a side of their special sauce and cholula. The burrito itself was a great size and made me perfectly full.

We always buy breakfast burritos from this place for workplace and they're good is the most delicious food you could ever try.

I wanted to say thank you to the Dog Haus corporate staff, they did take care of the situation and refunded my dollar ++ Thank you

Aoli burger
Cole D.

This place was delicious! A lot of heavy food but come here if you are hungry. Let's talk about a burger in four mini Hawaiian rolls? Delicious. The Aoli Burger held together great. Really tasty. Loved every bite. The tater tots with pastrami were really good. Eventually that flavor gets old, but it's really tasty. I'd split that with 3 people and that'd be perfect. Friendly service who gave us fantastic recs. The salted caramel shake was so creamy and relaxing.

Cajun Burrito
Jillian Maree B.

Great service and delicious food! We tried the Cajun burrito and Hangover burrito! We recommend trying these two if you want something bursting with spice and flavor. I chose sunny side up egg and bf chose scrambled. Cajun was so flavorful. Comes with sauce on side. For its price and sizes I would recommend! Bf also tried the onion rings. Crispy and didn't fall out of the batter.

Terrible! "Creative" High School cafeteria food. The buns are flat Hawaiian King's bread. A restaurant where seasoning is spicy.

Do you guys do events? My company wants to do a trivia night with at least 15 people, and we are looking into this location. If you do, how much do you charge?

Hi Michelle, Thanks for reaching out to us.…

Never been here but it looks really good. So what hot dog is ranked #1? Or a favorite among all customers.

Don't know if anything is ranked number 1 because it's all person preference but if i had to guess it's the downtown dog ( bacon wrapped hot dog) I'd say that's the safest option for a first timer and probably a good seller.

Do you accept apple pay?

This is probably why most people came in with online/phone orders for pickup and got the heck out of there in a hurry. Fries are okay at best but the onion rings are fantastic! I don't recommend the smash style burger because it's smaller and doesn't come with the fixings, but if that's your thing than by all means enjoy. I got the backyard bbq burger and it was very tasty. Not the best I've ever had but it definitely hits the spot and prices are not bad at all here. If I happen to be in the area again I would definitely be down to phone in my order and pickup for takeout to enjoy the tastiness somewhere I feel a little more comfortable. Staff was also very friendly - when they could be seen at least, but it was one cashier/server with two guys in the kitchen and although it's a small hole in the wall place there is still plenty to do if you're understaffed so I'm not even mad about it. Thanks ya'll!

I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. I listened to orders being placed as she continuously greeted customers. At one time I did hear a couple of customers order a dinner and I heard her ask if they wanted fries, salad or half of each. Their online menu does not indicate the sides available. It was at this time, 9 minutes later hung up. I tried to call back and the line was obviously busy. I placed my order online for burgers and fries and drove to pick my order up. It's not what I wanted but I knew what I was getting. When I arrived at the restaurant i asked her name. She said, Kate. I explained what happened and she indicated she forgot about the call. I told her good customer service would have been for her to come back to the phone if even to say, I hadn't forgot about you and will be with you shortly. She admitted I hadn't forgot a valid point. I ordered 2 burgers, a double cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger both with fries. To make matters worse the cheese was not even melted on the burger. Just a cold slice of cheese on both burgers. I had bit into the burger before realizing the cheese was cold and not melted or soft. I'm going to give Poly Burgers a rest. Today's experience was frustrating.

We parked in the multi-story parking garage behind Hamburger Mary's. Secret Island is a little over a block away. You can make reservations on OpenTable. It has a bit of a speakeasy entrance, as it is not plainly marked. Look for the staircase going down with greenery around it and the Secret Island sign downstairs. Go right at the bottom of the stairs and there is a little walkway where you see a very cool tiki display. It you stay there long enough, the lights will flash and you will hear thunder. Walk a little further and go through the door to enter. I was blown away by the atmosphere and build. Kudos to Bamboo Ben! It is dimly lit with a ton of cave wall, bamboo, thatch, netting, tiki lights, floats, skulls, tikis, and other décor. The bar is loaded with bottles and looks great with dark blue and green backlighting. The bar top is wood with deep cutouts that are filled with clear epoxy. The booths in the main dining area are little tiki huts and even have clouds overhead. There was great tiki music playing the whole time. A few times an hour a thunderstorm hits. The lights dim, lightning flashes with thunder sound effects, and red lights illuminate cracks in the floor that looks like lava veins. There is also a photo-op "Pele's Throne" which is a big lava rock surrounded chair. We sat at the bar and had the coconut shrimp appetizer ($12). The shrimp were breaded and cooked well, and had a coconut sprinkle on top. The spicy dipping sauce complemented the shrimp well. I started out with the Drunken Monkey (Makers Mark 46, Jamaican rum, banana liqueur, cinnamon, allspice, Angostura bitters, normally $19, $17 during happy hour). It was somewhat bourbon forward with a little funk from the Jamaican rum. I definitely got the cinnamon notes with a little banana and allspice in the background. She started out with the El Capitan Hook (Del Maguey mezcal, pineapple, banana liqueur, Luxardo cherry liqueur, lime, $17, $15 during happy hour). This was smoke forward with light pineapple and banana flavor. I had the Hula burger ($18) which was very good with a lot of different flavors from the various toppings. It came with a decent amount of fries, and was a filling plate. She had the pineapple bowl fried rice and added with BBQ pork ($17 + $5 for pork add-on). It is served in half of a scooped out pineapple and had a good amount of rice with pork and green onions on top. It had a good mix of teriyaki sauce on the rice and BBQ sauce on the pork. Next, I had the Rum Runner (coconut and blended dark rums, banana liqueur, raspberry, grenadine, pineapple, orange, lime, $18, $15 during happy hour). It was very pineapple and coconut forward which overpowered all of the other ingredients. She also had the Let That ManGo (white rhum agricole, coconut, mango, lemon, $18, $16 during happy hour). The primary flavors here were mango with some grassiness from the agricole. We were here from about 6pm to 8pm on a Wednesday night and it was pretty dead with only a few other people in the place the whole time. They do have a stage in the back with live music acts, so it is probably busier when there is entertainment and on weekends. Our first bartender was Alex who was nice but we barely talked with him. Manager Pedro took over the bartender duties later on and we had a great time chatting with him. Service was great from both of them. The drinks are a few dollars above average, but if you come during happy hour, the drinks are several dollars off. Happy hour is currently all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and Thursday through Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. The food was good, the drinks were ok to good, and the atmosphere was great. Normally, this would probably be a one and done, but I really liked the build and would like to come back when it is busier, maybe on a weekend.
