Definitely pretty good for not being Dole Whip from the Hawaii plantation. It is $7.50 for a single small serving or $14 for a pineapple souvenir cup. As others stated, it is hard to find. It is by the Dole play structure near the end of the boardwalk to the right of the Octotron ride.

I was craving dole whip and luckily this was in the area. All I can say is it was totally worth it. Service was quick and there was no line. Totally missed out on taking that aesthetic dole whip picture so I decided to give it a smile.

This location was not a easy find. It was hidden and not so "DOLE " advertising like previous photos. This little mobile unit was actually tucked under another amusement function with ropes etc. Dole pineapple was pretty tasty. Almost as good as the one I tried from the dole whip factory in Hawaii. Would be pretty cool if they offered pineapple chunks as toppings for these but I didn't see a option. "Hint hint."

Dole whip is my love language! I picked up a swirl during the Spring Bloom festivities at Belmont when they had the strawberry flavor and got half pineapple and half strawberry with tajin. But honestly, nothing will ever beat the original. Dole whip for liiiiiife!!! LOVE IT! And if you haven't tried it, you NEED to!

The fact that there is Dole Whip, alone, merits a 5-star review. (We don't have it where I'm from) Service was fast and good, the young lady at the register was friendly and efficient. We had the Dole Whip and the float with Tajin. So gooooood!

Dole Whip is a refreshing concoction of soft vanilla and pineapple ice cream. My grandson won one on the miniature golf 18th hole. Later, we enjoyed samples being offered near the stand. Actually, I think it's the best frozen treat in Belmont Park.

Was hanging out at sea world and found this place by accident. Nestled in the middle of Belmont park is this gem. Small stand is shaped like a Jeep. Ordered the dole whip ($5) and shake($6). Dole whip is pineapple soft serve. Dole whip shake is dole whip with pineapple juice. Both just like Disneyland, but a fraction of the cost. I'm definitely coming again. :-P

Oh sooo delicious just when i thought these couldn't get any better i discovered that this stand is mixing the already insanely delicious Dole Whips with vanilla which just threw the flavor profile over the top! The vanilla pineapple one had its own unique flavor that was just sooo good and definitely hit the spot. The regular pineapple swirl was just as good as the ones i get at Disneyland and oh soo good i love these because there is not many places that have these delicious whips! Don't forget about this location wile it is kinda hidden around the corner from the mini golf you will be ever soo happy you came here because its just that good! Overall they are priced just about right for the size cup you get and just soo yummy next time im totally getting a vanilla pineapple swirl float because that just sounds too good to pass up!

So tangy, yet sweet. Cold, refreshing, and light. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. If you're a pineapple fiend, go out of your way for the Dole Whip! It's a delicious frozen treat to beat the heat with and it's only available at a handful of locations in San Diego. They have the classic Dole whip or a float and you can pay extra to get it in a souvenir cup. You can get straight Dole ship, or tame the pineapple flavor with a Dole-vanilla swirl. Can't go wrong!

Mmm dole whip! We saw the sign for dole whip at the entrance of Belmont park and searched high and low for the elusive treat. We looked at the dessert menus at every food booth, and nope, not there. Just when we were about to give up, we stumbled upon the truck. Hooray! It was tucked next to the tiki miniature golf. The truck has 3 items, all dedicated to dole whip. OMG i can get dole whip without going to disneyland ...and for half the price?!?!? OH WAIT i saw a coupon online 2 for 1 at dole whip (i found it after i went here)...saved for next time. same dole whip as disney...in a hella cute kiosk...right in the middle of Belmont Park. If you don't want an entire cup o whip (why wouldn't you?) you can get a free sample...or 2 or 3... this place is awesome! i would be heartbroken if they ever left.

I'm so excited to have found this hidden gem. It's tucked away in some corner at Belmont Park so I don't know how long it's even been there and I'm pretty mad at that. Dole Whip is one of my favorite things to eat at Disneyland so it's so great that I can get it closer to home. Here you can get it mixed with vanilla or strawberry. And you can add Tajin! And it's cheap. And it's tasty. And if you get the float, it's super refreshing. For those that don't know, dole whip is a pineapple flavored frozen treat and it's freaking amazing. It's pretty much a vacation in my mouth. O_o

I love pineapples and dole whip so when I found this little booth at Belmont, I was thrilled. I love the one at Disneyland and this is just as good. I want more!!! This booth was located next to a jungled theme obstacle at the park. What a perfect location to match with the tropical/jungle theme! I've been wanting to try this place since I moved here 7 months ago and unexpectedly came across it while playing mini golf! Finally I got to try it and it was tasty, refreshing, and satisfying! I ordered the pineapple-vanilla twist, but next time I want to try just pineapple. The only critique I have is the ice cream is swirled around the inside edge of the cup, so you're left with a hole of air that could be filled with delicious ice cream! We made it through an entire day at Belmont Park without buying a 12,000 calorie bucket of ice cream. Despite smelling the enticing sent of the freshly baked waffle cones along the midway, I resisted. The line for the shop is always too long. They are overpriced. And seriously, does anybody need that much ice cream? It's so gross. Instead, we came to the Dole Pineapple whip place after playing a round of Adventure Mini Golf. I'm so glad we did. It was delicious, refreshing, well-priced, and delicious. (I know I said delicious twice, but it was so yummy that I wanted to say it twice.) And I don't feel like I gained a pound just by eating it. Seriously folks, choose your food wisely. read more

While not exactly the same as the Dole Whip booth near the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland, this little booth sells some mighty good (and mighty cheap) frozen delights at Belmont Park! My girlfriend had a BOGO coupon that she had gotten from Belmont Park's website, and on our most recent date we redeemed it for one of each of the flavors (pineapple and pineapple/vanilla). At $3 - $4 for the float - this dessert definitely hit the spot, and you definitely get what you pay for (and at a fraction of the price it goes for in Disneyland, to boot)! One star off, sadly, for the booth worker that didn't seem friendly or attentive - but we'll still come back for the yummy Dole Whip! read more

I bookmarked this place when I was planning my trip to San Diego. So glad we made the stop so we can finally try Dole Whip. I was sad when I didn't get the chance at Disneyland due to the massive line ... No thanks! ....and no long wait for your Dole Whip here! The pineapple vanilla swirl was the perfect blend. Had no idea what to expect here as I'd never heard of dole whip! But the review below sold me AND I had a buy one get one free coupon from Belmonty's (yummy) Burgers. So I got one of each flavour - pineapple and also the vanilla/pineapple combo! Now I was surprised to hear the original pineapple is vegan and gluten free - as well as only 90 cals. Sold! The mixed one does have dairy and you can tell it's creamier on the taste buds too. It reminded me SO much of the ice lollies called 'Twister' I had in the UK growing up. Amazing. Will totes return! (In case you were worried about my tummy, I didn't finish both - I in fact gave them away to someone more deserving of the sugar, after a few licks of course ;) read more

So freaking delicious!! Worth the $4 for the good helping they give you. My only complaint is the tiny cup they put it into! It kind of makes a mess on a hot day but it's so good that you really don't give a damn and will straight up lick it off your arm! Haha it's vegan and top 8 free!! My little guy loved it!! Next time I will try a float! Can't wait to go back for our annual visit and have some more. If you haven't had a Dole whip you have no idea what you're missing out on!! Go, like now! Just. Go. Do. Um, YES PLEASE. A Dole Whip stand that's not in Hawaii or in Disneyland yet still offers all the goodness of Dole Whip is a place I will be throwing my money at. The last time I was at a Dole Whip stand, I was in Disneyland on a hot afternoon and waiting in line for over an hour. Yet, I was loyal. I stood in that line sweating because I knew it would be worth it. Flash forward a year later and I discover this little gem at Belmont Park, almost hidden underneath a children's Sky Rope course. When I came here on a Saturday, there was no line. Prices are incomparably better than Disneyland's and the taste is still just as heavenly. My dreams have been answered!! I have been obsessed with Dole Whip for years and at long last I can have Dole Whip anytime I want!! The location of this Dole Whip stand right in the midst of rides at Belmont Park is epic!! It tastes the exact same as it does at the Tiki Room in Disneyland! I am so excited to have found it without having to drive to Anaheim. I have now found a reason to frequent Mission Beach!! Prices are cheaper than at dland; floats run only $4! Only con is that it's not open super late. The first time we tried to come here after dinner one night (around 8:30 p.m.) and they were closed. I think they are open till 9 p.m. on weekends only. read more

We used the coupon for Buy 1, get one, on the back of the Belmont Park brochure which is widely available. Usually, I can only find this item at a state fair, but apparently it is a permanent thing at the park. The DOLE Whip is always the most refreshing desert and in this case, it held true. It was like 4 bucks for a good sized cup and you could get vanilla swirl and DOLE, but why would you right? Stick to the classic and eat it on the beach away from the maddening weekend night crowds. read more

YAS, $4 well spent. Dole Whip is probably the best reason to hit up Belmont Park. So tart and sweet and refreshing. We got the vanilla pineapple swirl - which I highly recommend. Just the pineapple itself would be too overbearing. Definitely also get the vanilla to balance the flavor. read more

This is the place to go to get a Dole Whip that isn't Disneyland. It's a small vendor at Belmont Park. They're only open during certain seasons, you're best best is Spring and Summer. So good! read more

I can't believe that these exist outside oh Hawaii. Seriously, I've been craving this for the past 10 years since I got back from Oahu. There's not much to say here. It's a small trailer shack hidden underneath the semi- high line ropes course. Your wait won't be too long even if there's a 10 person deep line. The pineapple whip itself? It's fucking to die for. Seriously, I have fantasized about it for 10 years now. It will change your life. All for $3 to $4 a pop. read more

I only know of 4 places to get Dole Whip. Disneyland, Disneyworld, the Dole Plantation in Oahu, and here in Belmont Park, San Diego, CA. (There are others, but they seem to be hidden) What is Dole Whip you may ask? It's basically soft-serve pineapple flavored ice cream (note: may not actually BE ice cream.) What makes Dole Whip so great? On one hand probably nostalgia. Eating a pineapple frozen treat on the island of Oahu is fantastic, so what can bring you back to that place? A pineapple frozen treat near the Pacific Ocean in San Diego. plus you don't have to buy the tickets to Disney. I brought two friends here recently, one had had the Dole whip with me in Hawaii, the other had never tried it before. It was a welcome detour on our trip down the coast one Saturday afternoon after brunch. We each got the pineapple/vanilla swirl. My friend who had never tried it before said for me not to be surprised if I got a random phone call asking if I wanted to make a side trip to Belmont Park from time to time. The location can be a bit hard to find, but it is in with all of the rides, so even though the address brings you toward the main street. It is not. read more

Located in a cute little jeep inside Belmont park! There are only 3 choices- pineapple, swirl, or a float. I got the swirl and my bf got the regular pineapple Dole whip. They were both only $3 each! I didn't know you could ask for a cone instead!! It was so good with the vanilla because it made it less tart. You don't even need a spoon- just lick it straight from the cup. ;) read more

Good, upset the pineapple ice cream machine was not working. Looking forward to the pineapple/vanilla swirl. got the strawberry/vanilla swirl and it was not as good as the other I sampled from my lady when she got hers earlier in the day. But a good place on the SD Boardwalk on a warm day! read more

Cute little "ice cream truck" like venue. I got the pineapple dole whip. It is a huge serving! The flavor is unique and therefore memorable. It's like a one time experience only, I would not get it again. But now I can say, I had Dole Whip. Apparently, it's only available on the Hawaiian islands, Disneyworld, and Disneyland. read more

This was my first time having this and I loved it. Really great creamy and flavorful indulgence on a warmer day. We rode the roller coaster and then had this. It was 4$ for a small cup but we shared it and it was really good. Will definitely have one again. No lie, the very evening I learned of this place's existence (via Yelp), I dragged my husband over to Belmont Park in search of Dole Whips. Not even a month earlier I had waited 30 minutes in line at the Tiki Room stand in Disneyland for this very same delicious treat; their booth there is so inefficient but I wasn't leaving without my Dole Whip! Anyway, as far as the Belmont Park location goes, it's the REAL DEAL, run by Dole and to me they taste just like the ones sold at Disney. At Disney I would buy the all-pineapple soft serve, but now that I can get them anytime I want, I went with the pineapple/vanilla swirl in a cup to try something different (they give samples). It was delicious and the vanilla ice cream gave it a nice creaminess, which even my husband preferred. Living 15 minutes away from Mission Beach has me excercising serious willpower not to be there all the time--seriously, if only the parking situation wasn't such a nightmare I'd be there every day! As for the hours, I think another reviewer posted that they close early, but I went at 8:00 pm and asked the employee about closing times and she said M-Th 10:30 pm and F-Sun 12:30 am; year-round. This was in July, and I would not be surprised (and pretty much expect) that in the off-season they'd close earlier. read more

It was later in the day so they were out of or running low on some flavors. Nevertheless, the two flavors we tried were incredibly rich and flavorful. A little goes a very long way. Parking is incredibly tough in Little Italy but it is worth it for gelato this good.

Both were as refreshing as advertised, but I was dismayed by the $12 price for the serving. There should be a cost differentiation between water ice and the gourmet ice cream blends. The former certainly is not as expensive to make because it has fewer ingredients in each batch. The worker (owner?) seemed distracted with his phone. Most places like this greet you warmly upon entering and willingly explain or assist with the selections. I didn't receive such a reception as there was awkward silence until I asked for samples and placed an order.

Not only that, but they also have a small selection of gelatos which look pretty authentic like Spumoni! Other desserts I saw were mousse, tiramisu, cannoli, cheesecake, carrot cake, and rugelach. The cafe is small and the service may take a bit if you are waiting for the food, but overall, I enjoyed my coffee and sandwich.

We walked in around 12:40 without a reservation. They close at 2:30, but we were still seated pretty quickly. Every employee we interacted with was genuinely friendly. The service never felt rushed even though we came close to close. I also had no idea we walked in during their "US Hour" from 12:00 to 2:30, so that ended up being a nice surprise. They offer $7 draft beers, $9 wine, $10 mimosas, plus a handful of bites for $9. We started with the Fried Calamari Tentacles from the US Hour menu. They're served with Japanese mayo, although it tasted like there was some citrus mixed in because it had a nice tangy kick. Whatever it was, it worked really well with the crispy calamari. To drink, I ordered the Yuzu Matcha Mimosa. It had a really vibrant green color that almost reminded me of green juice. I actually enjoyed it. The matcha flavor came through without getting lost. My friend wasn't the biggest fan because they thought it leaned a little too bitter, so I think this one depends on how much you already enjoy matcha. For my entree, I ordered the Duck and Waffles ($24), which comes with crispy duck confit, a waffle, passionfruit guava sauce, and chili crunch. This was easily the highlight of the meal. The duck was cooked perfectly. It was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just enough to let the meat shine. I also appreciated that the chili crunch actually had some heat instead of just being there for texture. The waffle was light and fluffy. I'm a sucker for sweet and savory combinations, so the powdered sugar paired with the rich duck was enough to win me over. The passionfruit guava sauce was the only part I wasn't completely sold on. It wasn't bad by any means. I just think it's one of those flavors that comes down to personal preference. This ended up being one of those meals that reminded me why I keep a running list of places I want to try. Great food. Great service. A fun happy hour that I accidentally stumbled into. My only wish is that parking in North Park was a little easier, but that's just part of the neighborhood. I'd definitely come back.

Waters kept full which was handy as it was a bit hot and my car was a good walk away. Would like to visit again and try other menu items.

So delicious! I got a pineapple/vanilla swirl float - just the perfect mix of sweet and sour. It's very light and doesn't make you feel super full because it's nice and fluffy and fresh. I'm lactose intolerant and Dole Whip is one of the few ice creams I can enjoy. I've had Dole Whip before so I've researched if it is lactose-free and it is. I asked the employee to confirm and they said so as well. read more
