We were skeptical of this place because of the location but were quickly impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly staff. We LOVE Don's pizza. It's exactly how a pizza should look and taste. You can really taste the flavor in the pizza sauce too. I loved this pizza!!! Good Pizza places are hard to find on this side of town so I'm glad I found one ! They have really good ny style pizza. Their crust is nice and chewy and the sauce very flavorful. We ordered the margarita pizza.... The cheese was SO GOOD. Definitely tasted homemade. Went to Don's for the first time tonight. We got a x-large cheese pizza, chicken parm sandwich, meatball parm sandwich and chicken piccata dinner. Everything was delicious. It's a taste of New York. They are from Brooklyn, the best city in the world. Maybe I am biased because I am too. We tried a bunch of different dishes and each one was terrific. Can't wait to go back and try the Chicken Francese dinner, calzone, Chicken Alfredo and cheese cake. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Was told to give this place a try. I ordered a NY supreme pizza and 48 wings. Picked it up and toon it home. It was one of the best pizzas I've had I a long time. Fresh cheese meat and the vegetables on the pizza where cooked. The Wings where great also. Crispy with a ton of sauce. Their ranch that came with the wings was amazing. It's not your normal ranch. Came across Don's NY Pizza when we were looking for a last minute dinner idea. Best decision we could have made. The food was delicious and the staff are some of the nicest people you'll come across. We ordered a veggie calzone and a chicken pasta in a white wine sauce. Both were amazing! There isn't any skimping on ingredients and the portion size will leave you enough for lunch tomorrow. This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in the valley. Great food for a great price and the customer service is second to none. We dine in and order out frequently and they're consistently great. Hands down, Don's is the best. My favorite dish is the Chicken Briana. I am from NY and their food is to die for. The pizza is authentic and delicious, but the dish that gets me to drive 20 minutes for is the chicken Brianna. OMG, INCREDIBLE!! The sauce is like a garlicky vodka sauce with a huge chicken cutlet; I get 3 meals out of it. Also comes with a salad, garlic knots and smiles from the whole staff, a lot of whom are family. My husband loves the lasagna, my daughter loves the fettuccine Alfredo and absolutely everything we've ordered has been amazing. We will happily continue to go out of our way for the crave-worthy food, the great value and the fabulous customer service. They've got it going on! read more

So I am going to give it 5 stars on my first visit. First I can say that being a New Yorker (Long Island) I am a pizza snob. I even worked in a pizza place back in the 1980's in Ronkonkoma. I was expecting a disappointing pizza but what I got was really good. I had a large Meat lovers. The staff was friendly and funny. I was told the pizza would be done in 15 minutes and it was. We are visiting from Ohio, and stopped for pizza and a calzone. We ordered an XL bacon, and it was awesome. Bacon had great flavor, the cheese melted in your mouth, and the crust was a nice thin crust, with just enough crunch, but not falling apart like a cracker. We had the traditional calzone, which was amazing as well. Stuffed with gooey cheese and ricotta, and an awesome garlic flavored crust. To top it all, the owner and the guy making the pizzas took the time and effort to show our kids the whole pizza making process. It's great to see there are still family oriented establishments around. It made great memories for our kids, and we'll always remember our trip to Dons NY pizza in Peoria. read more

So our first visit, ordered our food for pick up got home and it was cold. Called and just asked for a refund and the guy said okay just bring it back that's fine. Brought it back was questioned and insulted. Owners kid claimed everything was perfect and started tasting it in front of us. Then started yelling that this was the best we would ever have.
