A friend recommended me this establishment and I'm really glad I checked it out! I got the half chicken, half beef bowl with the side salad and a Thai tea. Meat was cooked well and the teriyaki chicken had the perfect charring. Side salad was good too and I recommend partnering it with the meat and rice for an extra little crunch in each bite. Thai tea was some of the best I've ever had-- not too sweet and no powdery taste or texture! Service was pretty quick too considering that they were a little bit busy when I walked in. I used to go to a chain called Spikes Teriyaki. Ask anyone who grew up in San Gabriel Valley and they'll tell you it was one of their favorite places. Spikes is gone forever as it closed down back in 2011. Now my favorite place is Dons teriyaki. I got me a Chicken, beef, and rib platter. All the meats were cooked perfectly. Not too much sauce and not too little either. The plate came with a nice chinese salad, a potato salad, and Mac salad. So it was definitely fun to eat. I washed everything down with green Thai tea. Which hit the spot. It's affordable and super satisfying. I called in and ordered at 11:35 which is way before they opened and they were nice enough for to not have me call back. So super good service. I called and ordered without using Any APPs and picked up to save them all the fees. Consider doing the same too. read more

Delicious! I was in the area and decided to stop by for lunch. The food taste great and fresh. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate. The plate came with small serving of macaroni salad and a side salad with a delicious sweet dressing. Expect to wait some time for your food, it's not fast food where it's ready quick - it can take some time but it's worth it. They have a lot of picks ups as they take home orders too! Totally legit! I have tried many teriyaki places and this one by far is the best. Food was fresh tasty and abundant. Forget about any other teriyaki or Hawaiian place because this place is great. The food tastes splendid. They make everything fresh and made when you order. The kalbi tastes really well seasoned and grilled and it is my favorite. The bulgogi and chicken are well marinated and sizzled to perfection. The other thing that I really enjoyed was their delicious macaroni salad. I can eat that by itself. The potato salad and the spam musubi were also on point. The service is great. The staff gets your order out as quick as possible. They do get busy when it's not raining so be prepared to wait a bit but this is not your typical place. It is Korean-Hawaiian style that is made fresh. So if you're not the type to wait order ahead of time. It's freshly made food I can't stressed that enough. The inside is really nice and casual. They have dope prints of art that I admire. Two to go orders were taken away and then my dine in order is available. While I am eating, the cashier came and asked "is everything ok?" Before I answer anything, the cashier continues ask "what happens to you" while I am eating. I don't say anything so the cashier continues asking do you order shrimp salad or shrimp plate, so I answer shrimp salad. I eat what I order. The cashier continues pointing sauce 1 to eat salad while I use sauce 2 to eat. If the cashier does not want me to eat salad with sauce 2, why give me two sauces. The main reason why this place is one of my top spots in town, is because of CONSISTENCY. We've had this for dinner many times and every time the quality is outstanding. Portions are good for the price and it always taste great! Even when I was pregnant I would crave this spot. It's teriyaki done right!! I love their potato salad and Mac salad.
