Disappointed in this place today. I come in often first time ordering anything other than lox and a donut on other occasions. I order a BLT there was one maybe two slices of bacon on the whole bagel. Two thin slices of tomato and a dry bagel. Total cost over $6!!! Come on I come in once a week normally with coworkers. U could for $6 add a little more bacon at least and maybe a little more tomato. If I wanted a spread lettuce bagel I would of ordered one. Their lox are great but for the other breakfast bagels I'll have to start searching else where. Liven up the place a lil as well. Your bakers or ppl running the counter could say hello and be a little friendly at least. I'm sure they don't like being up every or must not be enjoying life. Your job is customer service and you work at a breakfast place. If it's not a good fit for your life possibly look for a later start else where. Another tip for life if you work in service and provide great service with a smile. I guarantee you will see more TIPs coming in. You would have from my coworkers as I. This place is my go to Donut shop. I bought 7 dozen donuts recently for my daughters first birthday which happens to be donut themed. I picked up my donuts at 11:00am and it was hot newly cooked. My party started at 12:00 and the donuts were still warm and super good. Everyone at my daughters party loved the variety. They were soft and fluffy. My party ended at 4:30pm and I did not have any left over donuts. read more

Amazing, fresh, mouthwatering donuts!! I try and go here at least once a month, to get an office. My co workers adore their donuts. They are always fresh. I've never had a stale donut. The glaze donuts are buttery rich, moist and glazed to perfection!!! Yummy! The prices are extremely reasonable especially for a dozen. The cake donuts with sprinkle take me back to childhood. Voted best donut shop by the Reader more than once, Donut Touch is a popular morning hang out for the San Diego tech crowd and for a good reason. They make donuts and they make them well. A favorite amongst the morning crowd is the apple fritter, second only to Peterson's in Escondido. In addition to donuts, you can get fresh bagels and breakfast sandwiches. While I have not tried the latter, I've heard great things about them. One hint, stop in about 5:45 and get a still warm fritter or bear claw... it's worth waking up early for! These people make great sandwiches, I have never even had one of their donuts but they had me at 'Boar's Head'. Now, for those of you who may not be familiar with Boars Head cold cuts, let me clue you in: If it's not Boar's Head, its suspect. Seriously, there's Boar's Head and then there is everything else. The folks have fresh baked rolls which really are what makes a sandwich a sandwich, add Boars Head cold cuts to that you have a recipe for success. The folks who work here are great, super friendly, the prices are a little bit high compared to some other sandwich shops, but that really is the only knock on this place. I really like this place, the only thing that sucks is when it's super busy there tends to be a line confusion. It's typically pretty crazy in the morning and some people go in there to purchase more than a dozen. Especialy if they're getting donuts and bagels for coworkers or what not. There is one line to pay, one line to order, and then scattered bodies waiting for their bagel, breakfast, or smoothie to be made. And some regular customer can be down right mean. Anyways, they now have CRONUTS!! It's a fusion of a croissant and a donut, well basically a fried croissant. Their maple bacon bars aren't worth the additional charge because you literally get very few pieces of bacon on it. They also have a pretty good variety bagels, sandwiches, and drinks. read more

The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because after my experience, I got an apology. My boyfriend came to visit me on my lunch break at work. He brought along my therapy dog because it had been a trying week. We walked into the shop and were immediately told to leave by an older Hispanic gentleman. I asked why and he informed me my dog was not allowed. I told him that my dog is a working dog and he had his tags (he has a vest, he just was not wearing it on this day. According to the ADA, all he needs are his ID tags, which I had) but we were still told to leave because my dog did not have on a vest. I immediately went to go gather what information I had to approach the gentleman and let him know that I did not need a vest on the dog. When I walked in and started talking to him, the man became very hostile with me and FOUGHT WITH ME over the regulations. I walked out, crying. My boyfriend didn't know the whole story until after we left. One of the other workers apologized and asked me not to take it personally. I told her that if he does it again, he can get into a lot of trouble. Not only will I not be returning, but my office used to get doughnuts from here all the time and they have lost that business as well. read more

I was pleased a the prompt service and surprised by the non-stop flow of customers....at 6 AM. The donuts were as fresh as could be, no 'day old' left-overs here. I had to try the blueberry cake donut, because that's my "go-to" donut...and this place does it right! The cake was moist and the glaze was perfectly layered on. Really! I donut eat doughnuts! I know they are not good for me... but sometimes I need to do bad things. My last days in San Diego, I succumbed to the Donut Touch store just next to the place I had been staying for two months. "It's okay!", I said to myself, "Just sample them to verify they are okay. It's a yelp thing. Then you can write a nice review and be done with it". I went over on a Monday morning and ordered a glazed doughnut, a french doughnut and an old fashioned glazed doughnut. Just the classics. No, I did not stuff them into my mouth before I got my change back, and I walked outside and got into the truck without them being touched. This was for science. The glazed doughnut was fresh, fragrant, soft and full of flavor! My stomach was doing back flips and crying "More! More!". My brain said, "Calm down. Science." I ate the french doughnut. Ohhhhh! The taste the egg in the dough! Fresh scents of egg and the large air pockets from the fry waft as I take a bite. The lite texture! The sophistication! God bless the French! Another home run doughnut of a different nationality. Last was the old fashion. The cake doughnut with a hint of buttermilk and a texture that let me know it meant business! None of that fluffy French doughnut sophistication; here is a doughnut with all the sugar and twice the cake! If you donut get that sugar-high with the French doughnut, the old fashioned doughnut is that supercharger that dumps it all into the bloodstream at once. On Tuesday, I went back for a repeat - only there were no more old fashioned doughnuts. Someone had eaten them all!! I got an old fashioned doughnut bar instead. I also got a maple bar... and that was good too. I do not recommend that anyone ever eat so many doughnuts at one time, but if you must, Donut Touch is the place to do it. Donut Touch serves honest doughnuts. Fresh, full of flavor and the proper texture that a doughnut is suppose to have. If you have never eaten a properly cooked doughnut, you will certainly get it at Donut Touch. read more

This place is less than 2 miles away from my home and less than two blocks away from where I work. Every once in a while my stomach will complain to me telling me to stop going to the gym and instead feed it with rich, fatty, sugary foods. Of course one donut will do the damage but I came here because I was really craving a ham and cheese croissant. Luckily they had some fresh hot ones and I scarfed it down on the way to work. Sandwiches: They use quality ingredients, from bread to veggies to meat and cheese, and they are big enough for two meals. I really, really enjoy their sandwiches. Bagels: not the absolute best, but waaaay better than the other bagel place in the same shopping center (Golden bagel, I think?). Donuts: I am no connoisseur but I think their donuts are pretty delicious and they have a good variety. Customer service is generally pretty good, although occasionally there are some communication problems. Not too big of a deal. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. read more

I love their bagel sandwiches! They're always toasted just right and the melted cheese just adds to its appeal for me. I love the coffee selection and it's always just the right temperature. As for the donuts though, I find the price to be ok but I've had cheaper donuts that are just as good. First off, who makes a sandwich with no plastic gloves on??? The guy touched everything that went on my sandwich with his bare hands. Disgusting!!! I could care less about the donuts, I wanted a good sandwich. I ordered the California Dreaming sandwich, avo, bacon, turkey, cheese and ranch. I asked if there would be mayo and mustard and they said no. I asked for some mustard on the sandwich and the guy grabbed the dijon mustard! THAT IS NOT MUSTARD!!! That ruins my sandwich. He put so much mustard on my sandwich that there was no way for me to rub it or scrape it off. My sandwich is now in the trash! So for $10 I have a small bag of chips for lunch. I will not be going there again. The place was not even busy and yet the customer service was subpar. Respect your customers and act professional, it is not too difficult! Ask the customer what they want on the sandwich. Don't just turn around and put the sandwich together the way you think it should be done. Do yourself a favor and walk down a couple of shops and go to subway, at least you will get something you can eat there. read more
