    What an experience more than anything. This is a HUGE dim sum restaurant and is a cultural experience. We had a 11am reservation on a holiday and checked in and were seated quickly. The line was out the door to get a table, so many people waiting. Definitely make a reservation. Took a little while to get a high chair. But lots of space for strollers, walkers, wheel chairs, the restaurant had 3 huge dining room areas and dozens of tables. We ordered on a sheet where you check what you want and then pretty sporadically we'd get our many plates. Everything was yummy. What shinned was the pork ribs, soup dumplings, and the dessert bao the sweet one and the pineapple one. Wow the pineapple one I will be dreaming about for years to come. Amazing texture and filling, not overwhelmingly sweet, perfect sweetness.

I liked the wagyu stir fry the best. the honey glazed sea bass was a bit disappointing as there wasn't enough flavor inside and the creamy sauce did not mesh well, but the texture was great

    4% surcharge. Some hits and misses: 4.5: Custard Crystal dumpling $6: Interesting mochi like wrapper. worth trying. 4.4: Steamed egg yolk lava bao $7.25: ok. Has an interesting granulated texture. 4.0: Jumbo scallop siu mai $9.50: deluxe. Good texture, flavor is OK. 3.0: Wontons in chili oil $8.25: Meh. The flavor just wasn't there. Wrapper is soggy.

    We came here on the recommendation of a friend. Their wagyu beef with roasted garlic, spicy eggplant, Dungeness crab with scallion, and duck fried rice were all excellent. They also serve dim sum at dinner, which is rare for most Chinese restaurants.

    Time for another update. Happy CNY. Got here right before the rush! Quality/Quantity - Congrats on still being crazy busy!! Chore day today and I was just too tired to cook lunch. So we walked across the street from my last chore place to here. Never a bad time to get more dim sum, especially good high end dim sum. Well, not as positive as our previous visits. Actually, I feel this brand and all their sister/brother brands are dropping. Are you just getting too big? Today my guest ordered the following, overall all of which were good. Jasmine Jade Dew Tea - $1.95 each. Shrimp Rice Crepe Roll - $11. Mixed Mushrooms Rice Crepe Roll $9.50 - This was my favorite dish! And healthier. Generous portions, generous mushrooms. Abalone E-Fu Noodles $25 - The abalone was smaller than expected. But the overall dish was good. Beef Chow Fun $22 - My guest's favorite! Decent portions. Ambiance - Overall the place still looks the same, so considering the huge volume you have, good job maintaining. It would be nice if you can install more restrooms as there is often a line... Semi open kitchen, see previous pictures. Metered street parking. Service - This is where it was noticeably different. NO service?!?! I had to flag down a team member to take our order, get forks, extra napkins, water (asked two different people), give us our check, to-go boxes, etc..... Price - Expensive, but that is the cost for quality. If only the service reflected the quality. Also a 4% "House Surcharge." Owner Comment - Founder of Koi Palace, Willy Ng, partnered with Jenny Huang to open Dragon Beaux, and it is still a hit!

    Solid dim sum spot. Insanely long wait snake sure to make reservations and be on time for it. We were late and had to wait a while before a seat opened. Menu was pretty reasonably priced with presentation and taste being mostly on par. The only disappointment was from the scallion sesame bread. It was a bit dry and dense without much scallion flavor. Food: 8.5/10 Service: 8/10 Ambience: 8/10

    I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and was finally able to. We walked through a fairly small reception area to our booth which was quite interesting set up. There were booth seating along the window and a row basically in the middle of the room just parallel to the bar. Very comfortable seating with some intricate design on the seat post and table. They do have a huge dining area to accommodate larger parties. Teapot had a stand with lit tealight to hell keep the teapot warm. A plus! The food was delicious, fresh, and high quality. We got some traditional and some traditional with a twist dim sum items. Everything was excellent. Some of the exceptional dishes were the Jumbo Scallop Shiu Mai, the juicy XLB, and the roasted pork belly. Service was okay. Although our sever was a bit disconcerting, he was efficient. This will not deter us from coming back to this restaurant

    Been here a few times now for weekend dim sum with the family and friends. It's usually one of the spots we pick when we want a big table and just catch up. The place gets really busy, so definitely plan ahead and make reservations for weekend brunch. Parking can also be a little hectic since it's mostly street parking around the area and gets very busy. The dim sum here is menu ordering and it's definitely on the pricier side. For me it's kind of hit of miss. Some dishes are really good and you can tell they make things fresh, but some feel a little mediocre especially for the price. The one thing that keeps happening whenever I come here is that a lot of the dim sum comes out lukewarm or sometimes even a little cold. I know it's coming straight from the kitchen and the flavors are there, but it just never seems to arrive hot which takes away from the experience. That being said, it's still a nice spot to hang out with friends and family. The rooms is lively and bustling and the service has always been friendly no matter how busy the place gets. They do a great job keeping your tea topped off and checking in on the table. I just wish the food came out hotter because for the price you kind of expect it to be a little better than average.

    Solid dim sum restaurant in the Richmond. I've been here multiple times for dim sum and dinner, and I haven't had a bad experience. Do get their baked bbq pork buns, salted egg yolk buns, peking duck, beef chow fun.

    A lovely experience. It gets pretty crowded at peak times. Service was ok. Sometimes had difficulty getting their attention. But the food was amazing and worth it. Would recommend and go back. Great lively atmosphere.

    Best dim sum in sf! Expect a very long wait for peak dim sum hours (weekend brunch time). Definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time if possible - this puts you at the top of the list which makes your wait much shorter than if you just show up and put your name down. Service is pretty standard for a super busy dim sum spot. The workers have to be quick to get people in and out as fast as they can; they're kind, but you're not going to get flowery service. Ordering is easy- you mark what you want on the pamphlet and they'll get it from you and have your table marked with all your orders. Plates come out at different times depending on what's available. The food itself is amazing, and I think it's the best dim sum place in sf proper. All the standard dim sum dumplings (har gow, siu mai) are perfectly made. Very flavorful and well crafted. My other favorites are the taro pork puffs and the shrimp crepe rolls. I also really like the chicken feet here, and I don't typically go for chicken feet. Full of meat and juicy, plus easy to eat. Besides the standard plates, we sometimes like ordering original items like the colorful dumplings. All have been great and tasty too. Will always look forward to coming here for dim sum and will continue to take family here. Definitely worth the wait.

    I came here with my friends for dinner and we had a great time! The space is incredibly large with lots of tables, perfect for a Sunday dim sum brunch. The servers were also very quick and efficient. We placed our order and the food came out not soon after. Everything we ordered was very good. However, my absolute favorite was the Spinach Siu Mai. It was stuffed so well and super flavorful!! The best siu mai I have ever had. The short ribs were also delicious and crispy. I would definitely come back for these two dishes!

    Dragon Beaux remains a dim sum favorite in San Francisco. The food is excellent. Highlights include delicate scallop shumai, rice noodle rolls with delicious BBQ pork or shrimp, crispy fried noodles with bok choy with fresh scallop & cuttlefish, pillowy spinach dumplings, and juicy XLBs served with fresh ginger and black vinegar. No carts here, but a paper menu and a pencil for ordering. The dining room is friendly and functional, with steady refills of tea. Unfortunately, the experience is tempered by restrooms here, which can get dirty, and as of our visit, we found in an unfortunate state of disrepair. Two of our guests felt so uncomfortable, they waited to leave to use them; one women's stall (the only one available) was missing half a toilet seat (!?), and my elderly father described the men's room as awful--and he's seen some things. It's a shame, and that impacts the overall experience.

    I would assume that there is a corkage, don't know how much though, when you bring your own bottle. Might be a good idea to drop them a line just to be sure and not waste time bringing the bottle if unable to. G Luck.

    Is dim sum all day?

    Yes! You can reserve a table as well because wait times can be 30-45 minutes; more on Saturday and Sunday.

    Will you ever bring the matcha yolk bao back on the menu?

    Does this amazing restaurant have a smaller room for a wedding party or will they set aside tables together for a party of around 22-24 people?

    Restaurant should not have a problem seating 24 together. I would suggest to call ahead and make a reservation.

    There is a parklet! I presume you can eat there outside for dim sum.

The spicy lamb dumplings were another highlight, with an incredibly thin wrapper and a super flavorful and not gamey at all lamb filling. I also loved the stir fried rice cakes, which were sliced thin enough to avoid that overly chewy texture, and the stir fried noodles Shanghai style were classic and simple in the best way, with big chunks of cabbage and meat and just executed really (the chefs clearly have some serious wok skills!). Not everything we ordered was an absolute knockout as the vegetable dishes could use a bit more flavor and seasoning, but everything overall was good, and the portions across the board were very generous. The desserts were a last-minute decision and I am so glad we went for them. The lava custard buns were fluffy and amazing, with a molten salted egg custard inside, and the sesame balls had a satisfyingly crispy exterior that gave way to a perfectly chewy interior and sweet red bean filling. The value here is also excellent. We left absolutely stuffed and spent around $30 per person, which felt like a great deal for how much food we got and how much we enjoyed it. Highly recommend!
