We have been long time supporters of the Copper Skillet especially during COVID times but this is just plain wrong. This is $11. Supposedly in the order one is to receive "2 eggs half order of waffle and 2 bacon or sausage." This is a joke. This is one egg or half an egg? TWO BITES WORTH. The rest is fine, it is what comes with the order but the egg is just taking advantage of customer's money. I have been coming here for years with my family. The last year or so the service keeps going down. I will honestly say I will not be going back ever again. Yesterday we were sat fast by the man that is always up front. He asked us what we wanted to drink, we said water, he never brought it. A buser came by 5 or so minutes later and offered to get us drinks, he did promptly. Then it took a while for our server to come. We were beyond ready to order. Our food came quickly but they got the eggs and toast wrong on 1 dish. I did not complain because my husband was fine with it. Then when I went to pay, the rude guy in the front whom I can never understand snatched the check from my hand while he finished another check. Then he charged me the wrong price. Ordered the Special Breakfast with corned BEEF hash. I recieved a hash with chunky slices of HAM. When I brought that to the attention of the owner (the older guy with a mustache), he kept saying, "That's beef it's new". When I insisted it's not beef, he turned away and called our waiter who repeated the same thing. I told him as well, "I don't care if it's new, it's not beef- this is ham! " I just think there is a language barrier which is a problem but the rude service from the owner is worse than trying to insist that my ham was beef. I love love love this place! The staff is super friendly basically treat you like family especially if you're from the area. The food is classic homemade diner style delicious! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I was so worried about this business with the shelter in place order and even more excited when they finally popped up on doordash! We just tried this because we we're in the area. I remember seeing it on sfgate.com as a Bargain Bite so I bookmarked it on my iPhone. And it popped up when I did a nearby search. It serves Breakfast all day. So that's a plus. I tried their Tony's Special (Cream Cheese, scrambled with Chives). I coudln't really wrap my head around the concept it sounded interesting in real life. It was definitely tasty. I'd give that a 4 star just because it's different. If you want to give it a try go for it. The rest we tried was normal Tri-Tip dinner was about 3 star quality for me. You can't go wrong with some pancakes for the child. All in all it averages up to 3.5 stars for me, can't gives up the all day breakfast rounds it up. :) I think next time I'll try the copper skillet. Although I reviewed this place a few months back, I have to increase my review upon my recent visit. The Cornbeef Hash and Eggs is phenomenal. The best I've had in a long time. It's not groundbreakingly different, it's just a wonderful taste of nostalgia of how "Mom" used to make it. Besides the different food order, nothing has really changed since my last visit. Service is hit or miss. Don't be in a rush, if you want to eat here. It's for those lazy Sundays (or Wednesdays) when you have a good conversation or book to keep you cozy in their booths. read more

She was so friendly and easy going and was managing her numerous tables with ease. They also don't rush you to finish your meals and leave, which is a big bonus! Food: The food here is pretty good! They have continental breakfast mainly, but they have SUCH BIG PORTIONS! Definitely a bang for your buck. Parking: Since it's in a plaza, there's an unbelievable amount of parking. There's plenty of parking outside, and it's easy to find. There's no wait time at all and there's plenty comfortables boothes. The waiters are friendly and prompt, quite patient with our impatient 2 year old, even with her screaming and singing. The kids menu is sized for dinosaurs, nearly as large as an adult portion, making it quite cost effective. This is a great a place, as long as your not going to eat here. My "fresh" salmon tasted like it was defrosted in the last Ice Age. The salad consisted of nothing but romaine lettuce topped with the most bland cheddar cheese I've had in my life, and a crispy chicken that tasted almost okay. It's hard to find things on this menu that aren't completely fried, refried or battered in oil. The vegetables tasted like they were made from frozen vegetables. Went for breakfast yesterday. A mature male seated us & asked what we wanted to drink. Ordered 2 coffees, 1 mimosa, 3 waters. I immediately changed & said I also wanted Mimosa, no coffee & 3 waters. He brought 1 Mimosa, 1 coffee. We thought he was going to get the rest of our drinks, 1 more Mimosa & 3 waters but he was already helping other tables. After sometime, we called him asking for 1 Mimosa, 3 waters. Brought only 3 waters. We reminded him we were still waiting for a Mimosa, he replied "what did you do with it, I brought it". What could we possibly do with it if he never brought it and he can see I had no Mimosa, no drink. Then he said he didn't know we wanted another Mimosa but he knew/heard not to bring me a coffee, how did he not know I wanted Mimosa instead. Got the missing Mimosa (highly recommend) It took a long time for someone to take our order so been sitting awhile. My Chicken Fried Steak was very good, hash brown cooked just right. The other order of Huevos Rancheros were so disappointing, they brought a plate w/bunch of chips thrown on top of the eggs as if we ordered Nachos. In the past that dish did NOT have chips thrown on top, they actually looked good before so I guess they have changed the way they make their Breakfast entrees. Overall, some of our food was very good, one was not. Service is not great and hope they improve. The vegetables were really fresh. The bad: Well, the food just wasn't that good. The gravy definitely came out of a can, and the whipped potatoes were obvious insta-spuds. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COPPERSKILLET in DUBLIN!! It appears as though they are under new management I have been loving this establishment for 15 years. This morning I went to get my favorite Sunday breakfast! I noticed that the usual staff was not present. My wife me I ordered our usual steak and eggs. Not being a huge breakfast eater she ordered light off the kids menu. Taco and beans and rice. We have ordered this HUNDREDS of times and never a problem. A new person came to our table and requested our weekly breakfast. The server said that we could not order light off the kids menu unless we were 12 or under. I shared with her that the management never questioned it and after so many years it was never a problem. I asked to speak to the owner out of courtesy and she eventually cane by our table. I shared with her our regular process and she abruptly Said "we have no profit in the kids menu, you have to order off of the regular menu". I was shocked. Her husband is the Co owner and I asked to speak to him. The whole time there was another lady looking over his and her shoulder as we were addressed. I was in disbelieve and shared that I would post this experience on yelp. After all of these years of good service he was going to compromise a faithful weekly customer. He said " I DONT CARE" That is our POLICY!. I was astonished! My wife lost her appetite and we split my order. When I GOT the bill it was written in Chinese or Some other alphabet I could not read. When I went to the register I asked "THE OWNER a"to decipher the handwriting on the bill. He could not. HE called the server over to rewrite and explain it to me. Came to find out I was overcharged for an item I never received. SO PERHAPS COPPER SKILLET IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT OR OWNERSHIP!! I will find out in MONDAY WITH THE COUNTY. STAY AWAY.
