Been around forever, they have their own pizza sauce that's what I love about this place. Wish they offered more and delivered.. Love the pizza. We went last year for my 15th birthday. We had gone a couple times before and loved it. The owner was super nice. He gave me a discount on some of his prints. So so pizza. The crust and sauce were pretty good, but the cheese was sub-par. I know one has to cut corners wherever possible, but the pizza business is so flooded a local joint like this needs to pay homage to the holy trinity of pizza (crust, sauce, toppings) if it wants to differentiate itself from the chains. Ok listen this pizza is not good. The thin crust is a pre made crust witch sucks. There are practically no toppings what so ever. And it's costly for what you get. And nothing has any flavor. This pizza might be good to the locals, but not to anyone who isn't from there. Sad for being that close to Chicago. Good American style pizza. That is, not what you'd find in Italy or from a wood-fired oven elsewhere, but a first-rate example of standard oven baked pizza. If you want to dine in, check to be sure the dining room is open. 8:30 PM closing time refers to take-out orders; in our experience the dining room closed earlier. read more

Ordered pizza yesterday, and after it was delivered I find the cheese had slid to the side of the box and the pizza was cold. I will definately order from any other pizza place in Chesterton before I ever consider this place again. When I called to complain the girl on the other end was practicing her um's and uh's. We order pizza here once a week at least. I grew up eating this pizza and it's still the best in town. Only "problem" with Duneland is it doesn't deliver (we're lazy! Haha) and it's not open on Mondays (when of course we always want pizza!). To wrap it up, fantastic pizza, great service (we've dined in as well). You really can't go wrong here. read more

Some of the best pizza around. I wish there was a text program or customer loyalty program. I know they have newspaper deals but not being from Chesterton it makes getting discounts impossible for me. We were in New Buffalo, MI for the 4th. picked up a Take and bake back to Chicago. I lived in Chesterton in 1972 when Duneland opened. It is the best pizza on the planet. Baked it on a pizza stone and it was as good as in the restaurant . read more

We've been enjoying their pizza for many years. We used to order weekly and it would be delivered with a video which was great when you had young children. The kids are grown so we stop in or take out and love the very thin crispy crust. The cheese is a great mix of fresh italian cheeses and we often order just cheese! Duneland Pizza is conveniently located on Broadway in Chesterton. The pizza is my favorite and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Lots of toppings and crusts to choose from. This is not your typical $5.00 pizza. I really like their chips and cheese dip. What a deal for that big bag of warm chips. I always get the garlic bread too. They recently added a dine in or on the deck area for if you would like to eat there . I live pretty far out and the delivery is always good too. Give them a try! read more

I've been eating Duneland pizza for over 34 years, sure some times it has slightly changed but I love the fresh oregano taste and thin crust and fresh real cheese. It will remain my fav. I give it 5 stars. read more
